Said they couldn't deliver a package because our driveway was inaccessible, which is completely UNTRUE. Besides that, our mailbox was available.DO BETTER, USPS.

With long holiday lines, I used the self check out. My arm is in a sling, so the staff member was kind enough to help me! The staff at this location is always helpful!

Make sure you hand your prepaid packages to someone at the counter and get them scanned in with a drop off receipt. Don't just drop them in the self service drop boxes in the wall. Last collection is supposed to be at 5:30 but they either don't collect the packages from the drop boxes like they should or they don't scan the packages in when collecting them. For online sellers who have metrics to meet for on time shipping this is extremely problematic. When they don't scan them in like they should online sellers lose protections if packages go missing because we can't file claims as the post office claims they never had the package, and Amazon seller protections don't apply because Amazon thinks you never shipped the item. I never have these issues with UPS, but USPS consistently lets me down. It's really a shame because the new Ground Advantage rates are really great, but I've lost hundreds of dollars due to the poor service provided by my local post office. The hassle, frustration, and extra time wasted isn't worth the savings by choosing USPS over UPS.

This post office was meant to send info regarding the registration of 8 new townhomes to the National database, so that the tenants moving in can put in a change of address form. They screwed it up the first time but promised me that it would be fixed in a couple of days. The customer service representative, Geroge T. Voekel, gave me his card and told me to call anytime to check on the status. However, when I called the number, it took me to the USPS Winchester directory. When I asked the robot to talk to a representative, it would ring for 20 seconds and then tell me that no one is available, and I should go to the website. So, if you are building new construction or are moving into a newly built home, you are probably going to have problems with your mail.

It took my family 1.5 months to receive our forwarded mail from a 45 min distance. Providing proof of residency (HUGE Deal here for whatever reason even within the school system), proof of identity and online customer phone services were needed to fulfill our request. It’s unbelievable how noisy their trucks are. Sounds of belt, rotors, and brakes were squealing today in my neighborhood… This has to be the one of the biggest offices I’ve been in with the worst quality of vehicles! Staff was rude both times with short tones. No one was happy being there. My mail lady Jessica is nice. Three stars for her :)

people there are very helpful if you go in but don't try calling the post office. the idiots that made the phone service must sit in the corner and blow spit bubbles at each other all day what a bunch of idiots! they don't answer and no matter how hard you try there is no way to get them to pick up. typical government service! no good! Ill ship with UPS or Fed Ex its less hassle.

I always love going into the postal office the reps are wonderful, friendly and helpful. It is handicap accessible and I have met some good people here other customers just waiting to be served. The facility is clean. I would recommend this postal service location if you need quick service.

I've never had a bad experience here except for the long lines, but hey, that's to be expected at any post office! People have always been friendly enough and I have gotten exactly what I needed every time. It seems to be well-managed. It is definitely well-used and is showing its age, but the needs of the customers are met, and the prices to ship are better than the other companies that offer similar services.

Just wanted to chime in on the positive reviews -- we are new to Winchester and I've only been her a few times, but as we approach Christmas I'm super impressed with the friendly and efficient staff at this location. There was even an extra person working the line last night, trying to help people get small things done using the self-service kiosk rather than having to wait on line. Great job folks, and Merry Christmas!

The workers are friendly. Even with a long line it moves quickly with three window options. One time I didn’t even have to wait that long, but they still apologized for the wait time. There is parking in the lot and along the street.

I tried to contact the store at their main number and no one was available to speak with and the phone simply hung up on me. But I was trying to contact someone for an explanation as to why whoever is delivering our mail to our community mailboxes is leaving packages in piles outside of the mailboxes. I live in Shawnee Land in Winchester. There wasn’t even an option to contact them in anyway besides the phone number that just hung up on me when no one was available to answer.
