Wow. Rude old guy with grey beard. Actually said this. "For the third time. Do you have a phone to add or not". I know it's tough to get people but this is ridiculous. Will go to T Mobile

We arrived and were greeted by the Manager. The sales rep began our order and then it became a little cumbersome. The Manager took over and worked our order and while we waited made sure the other customers were acknowledged and taken care of. We appreciated their time and assistance in switching over.

Just reading the reviews is unsettling. I went there yesterday and the hours of operation were the normal hours of business but they were closed, they were to be opened at 11;00 am, 1:00pm and still no one there. Then they wonder why there's never no good business there. The customer service representatives there are very very rude. I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and I will never step foot in the store

Walking into this Verizon almost seems like an inconvenience to the employees. No help/solutions offered with what I needed help with. They just told me that what I needed help with could be handled over the phone and just handed me a flyer with all the "information " I needed. Went right over to Verizon stand at Costco and they were able to help me everything I needed.

I switched my family's 4 lines from AT&T to Verizon today. I had been an AT&T customer for 25 years and switched because Verizon is offering some very nice incentives. I visited the corporate store in Winchester VA to get some help and to add devices to my plan. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were talked to in a very rude and callous manner by the person, who I assume is the manager. He was not willing to help us with anything since we had purchased our phones at Costco. Moreover, he was just plain uncaring and unwilling to help in any way. A very very bad first impression of Verizon! Whatever happened to customer service?! Now that I have perused the comments left here by other customers, I see that this has been a problem for a while. Don't know why Verizon can't do anything about this.

Guess it's pointless since there are already so many bad reviews, but let me just add my name to list of customers dissatisfied with the staff at this location. They are possibly the rudest people to ever work in customer service-- in particular, the store manager who is always sitting direct center behind the counter, doing absolutely nothing. And I'm not speaking based on one experience, I am speaking based off of multiple visits over a span of about five years. I stay with verizon because the service is good and calling the general 1-800 number goes well, but when I am directed to visit this local branch, I cringe. I know I wont get helped, and honestly, it's better to drive an hour into fairfax then deal with the staff at this verizon store. Anyone thinking of paying a visit, don't say I didn't warn you.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR HELP ON AN EXISTING PHONE! Let me say first, I love Verizon wireless phone service in Winchester VA. HOWEVER...the retail store employees are a bunch of scam artists! I went into the store today, around 4:30pm, for quick help to activate a backup phone that I had, (an older Samsung), since I had just sent my iPhone out to get its screen fixed. The two employees behind the counter asked how they could help me and I handed my Samsung to the lady and asked if she would activate it, letting her know I already had a sim card in. The guy took the phone out of the lady's hand, glanced at it and then gave it back to me saying, "This is an obsolete phone! And In fact, Verizon is about to upgrade their system and even more older phones will be obsolete." Suspicious of his "knowledge", I told him okay and left. As soon as I got home I called 'My Verizon' to activate the phone. Within 10 minutes the SAME Samsung phone I brought into these numbskulls was up and fully operating! The representative asked me if I was satisfied with the service she provided and I shared with her the experience I had at the Verizon Corporate store. She apologized and said she was shocked that this had happened at a corporate store. She assured me representatives at the My Verizon support phone lines are NOT on commission and if I was to ever need assistance with an existing phone I should CALL into Verizon. This Corporate Verizon store is not a good business and shouldn't be in Winchester, VA.

It seems pointless to post yet another negative review of this location. I closed the checking account that I was using for the bill and last week l went in with my bill and a new check from the new account so they could update things. I figured the latest payment had bounced off the closed account,(although I never got an email or text from Verizon to that effect) and found out at the store that I was correct. After updating the checking account the saleslady presented me with the option of paying that bill now or paying it with the next bill when it came due . I opted for the latter option and today my service was suspended due to non-payment. I called the general 800 number and paid it. Good thing I was in a situation to take care of it promptly. I was seriously misled by the saleslady and as a result I have to pay a $20 PER LINE (5) reconnect charge! Better training needed. Looking for a new internet, email and phone provider for a rural area.

We are new to the area, and like to deal with only the direct Verizon stores vs. retail Verizon. My husband and I went in the other night, there was no one else in there and 3 people behind the counter. We were not greeted, after standing there for a second or so, I asked where the iPhones were, we got a point for the direction, as they were in a conversation with each other. After a few minutes, someone behind the counter spoke up and said "is there something we can help you with" We told them yes, that we are looking to upgrade and wanted to look at the phone options and had a few questions. They were all secured to a post, which means you cannot even lift them up with a cord to look or hold them. When we asked about this, we were advised that if we wanted to hold and look them over we would need to go to Best Buy or another location that carried them, for security reasons they secure them. (sorry the store is small I do not understand why they cannot use wires/cords like everyone else does). I asked them if there were any advantages from going through the direct store vs. Costco and they said I would need to talk to Costco if I wanted that info. Sorry but if this was my lively hood I would be checking out the competition and looking at the differences so that I can help my customer make a decision or at the least answer any of their concerns. The direct store in Charlottesville is always packed, and everyone one of the employees in there have great personalities know how to work with the customer. This store needs some of that training.

I needed a charger cable for my Android LG smart phone. I wasn't sure of the connection type. I needed someone to point me in the right direction, make the purchase, and be gone, I figured, a 5 minute transaction. After I walked in, I looked for a sales person and, though there were about 8 people in the store, I couldn't distinguish who was who. So, I wandered around trying to find what I needed. I thought I found it but wasn't quite sure so I grabbed it and wandered some more. Finally, after about 10 minutes, someone who was wearing a dull and raggedy gray t-shirt with the Verizon logo on the pocket asked what I needed. I told him and he informed me of the connection type that was required for the cable I wanted. Ready to check out he asked me my phone number, which I gave him, and which he proceeded to enter into his tablet. When I asked where I could pay for the stuff he told me all he did was put me in queue and I would have to wait. He then helped someone who I had noticed had come in after me, who had apparently figured out the process while I was wandering around trying to figure it out myself. Looking around, I noticed three or four others waiting, likely ahead of me in queue, so I left. I went to Target and got the cable which took about 5 minutes, in and out. Verizon may know phones, but they certainly don't know retail nor customer service. I have never had a good experience in a Verizon store. This keeps the streak alive.

There is the old saying "you get what you pay for" Verizon may not be the least expensive service but they have certainly proven the network is the most reliable. The staff was friendly and courteous. Ordered device online and was ready for pick up within an hour. They assisted with activation and ensured service was operational. This store is stocked well with a variety products and accessories.

I've been to this store many times for assistance with my phone, internet and buy accessories with always a positive experience and have been a Verizon customer for 15 years. This came to an end today when I went in for an upgrade (actually 2) and to troubleshoot my broadband internet with the "unlimited" plan (a joke.) After asking the same question 4 times and not getting any real answers the "manager" stepped in without introducing himself, I had to ask.....Omar! What a nightmare this turned into...not only did they not answer my question, but they lost the upgrades because of his attitude toward my husband and myself. He became frustrated when I insisted on fixing the problem I was having and was told "we can no longer help you and you are out of contract." I cannot believe a "manager" would even talk to customers like that. I've been in retail for over 30 years and while you can't please everyone, speaking to people like they mean something to their company says alot even if you can't help them. When we walked out, my husband heard him mutter under his breath it was only $200 anyway. Needless to say, OMAR has been reported to the home office and Sprint will most likely have my business from this point on. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Will never recommend this store until different employees are running it.

Horrible customer service. The salespersons are plain rude and don't believe in customer service or being nice. Unfortunately this is the only direct Verizon store in town and so this is the only store you can deal with when it comes to certain Verizon issues or if you have bought something from another Verizon company store. The salespeople fuss when they have to do something other than make a sale. Even when they are making a sale they are quick to try to sell you and really don't actually care about it much. They are unprofessional in both their approach and their attitude. They hang out like they're on a break. No surprise there because they are mostly youngsters that would probably not care less about their job or the customers. I avoid this store unless I have to go there. I hope that someone from Verizon will notice this review and get the store to get their act together.

Just left this location. Was there a few days ago and was told that there was no extra charge to add a phone to the plan. They flat out lied. Turns out it is $20 more a month. Never got a sorry or anything. Do NOT go to this horrible store. I should have never left Sprint. I'll be looking for another carrier. Verizon is the pits in my opinion.
