Food City is a locally owned grocery retailer with a strong community focus, serving areas in Southeast Kentucky, Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennessee, North Georgia, and Alabama. Based in Abingdon, Virginia, the store has been committed to providing value for over 100 years. Customers appreciate the friendly and courteous staff, as well as the convenience of having a grocery store, pharmacy, and fuel center all in one location. Many shoppers find the store to be a reliable stop, especially on trips to Tennessee, and enjoy the ample parking available. However, some customers express concerns about the high prices of meat and overall costs, highlighting that while Food City offers a better selection compared to competitors, affordability can be an issue. Despite this, the store remains a popular choice for its quality products and dedication to customer service.
