So- called GM Chris is the rudest, unprofessional, no customer service having manager I have ever experienced in my life! The fact that he is still in this position says alot about the company. He is running customers away and making the company lose big money. I have been a loyal customer to Aaron's for five years now because of their customer service and willingness to work with the customer. But after the experience I had today I will return my merchandise and never come back.

I rented from Aaron's many times in the past and have paid off quite a bit of merchandise. It's been a long time since I've used them and decided that I wanted a new living room set. Because of the great customer service and merchandise I received in the past, I decided to return to Aaron's for a living room set and possibly a washer & dryer. After reading the recent reviews and experiencing bad customer service over the phone when I called today, I decided to go somewhere else. The guy seemed bothered that I called, wasn't helpful and could care less if I purchased or not. This is something that I was totally surprised about because I've ALWAYS received great service in the past. Shame on you Aaron's. Bring back the old staff, they cared, they smiled and they offered great service!

Terrible place DO NOT rent from here. When I got my dining room table the door on the bottom of it was broken but I still took it. I asked Aaron's to come back and get it because I no longer wanted it to which they refused to due because it was "damaged" and still charged me for the table after i said to end my contract.

I wish I could give no stars.Lets start with terrible customer service from the so call “ store manager” that dude need some training on how to treat a customer for sure. When they are who made mistakes from the beginning. They drop off my furniture 2 days before the actual drop off time. They left my items there for me to put it together when I did put together they were all mixed up sizes nothing match with anything. Then I called and they took time to drop off the right things again no help to put it together so when I tried again the pieces were broken and again wrong sizes this is 1 week already since the actual date that my items were supposed to be at my home. I called again and store manager answer me with a “ and what do you want me to do about it” not a WE ARE SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE, not once said we will work on getting the right item for you. Then they said they will drop off my box springs here I am still waiting for it. They expect for us to just stop our lives and wait for them. Mind you you have to call them to remind them to drop off something that you are paying for .

We placed and order for a two piece sofa online on their Aaron’s website. Everything was good to go. We went to the store on Saturday 11/19 to see if there was a way to get the sofas before thanksgiving. Unfortunately they said no just because it would take some time. We said ok no problem. On Monday the manager had called to speak with my mom about her order. Unfortunately my mom doesn’t really speak English so the manager was asking her about an order she placed and she had no recollection of it nor did she know where they were calling from so she said no. The manager went ahead and cancelled the order. When I got home my mom explained someone called her to which I proceeded to follow up with. When I called I found out it was Aaron’s. A gentleman explained to me the manager was calling to confirm the purchase but since my mom told him she didn’t know about any order he went ahead and cancelled. We explained to him that was by mistake and were wondering if there was anyway to fix it. He said normally there isn’t but he would try the first thing was i needed to send a picture of my license to an email he shared. I went ahead and did that. Next he said he was going to call me back. Two days went by and I never heard back. On 11/25 I called to follow up on the whole situation and I spoke with a female associate. I explained everything to her and when she would look up the account she said there was nothing. She asked for the name of the items or sku. I found it and told her the name to which she corrected me for the way I had said because according to her “first of all it’s pronounced michaela not michaela” I didn’t say anything because why would. To end the this disastrous review. She went ahead and explained that now I needed to goTo another website and apply there so I could see my purchase power. I said what. That makes no sense why would no one mention that sooner because no one said anything. I was so done I just asked her when my mom would receive her refund she said since it was cancelled it should’ve been returned already. I looked at my moms account and guess what bo refund yet. Such an amazing company. ?.

I called in to try to get w better ETA for my delivery. I spoke to Ana she yelled at me and hung up the phone then when I called back I asked her I just need general idea she yelled saying what part of that don't you understand the new staff isn't like the old staff the old staff cared about the customers it's truly sad I've always had good experience with Aarons until dealing with this person Ana she doesn't know how to interact with customers period please get better staff

Bad service in this store they are supposed to open at 10:00 and they are opening later when you want to buy something they talk very angry . sorry i’m no recommended this store.

I recently got a PS5 from here and was told my payments would be 124$ a month (give or take a couple dollars) and was fine with that. I set it up so that they could take the money from my bank account each month. At the beginning of this month (December) i was charged 144$ and called the store to find out why the pruce went up. I was then told that i had the protection plan on and i told the guy i didnt want that. He then said that he would remove it but if kept it would go down the next month to 134$ or close to that after the one time charge for 144$. I agreed to that and he mentioned that they could also set my payments up to take the money out on the first payday of each month for me so i wouldnt have to worry about overdrafting if charged too soon. I agreed to that and we set it up for the first Wednesday of every new month. Well its now December 30th and i was charged yesterday for the second time this month. Since i purchased an engagement ring for my fiance i have a limited amount of money in my account until next Wednesday and them charging me twice this month has now put me in the negative with a 75$ fee as well as a fee for 50$ each day not paid for the maximum of 3 days. When I called the store today I explained everything to a really helpful young lady who worked there and she called the regional manager to try to fix things but was told all they could do was void my payment and recharge me next Wednesday. Thats not going to help my overdraft charge though being that its not instant. So now theres 225$ i have to pay because of THEIR mistakes and STILL have NO answer for why Im being charged MORE than I had agreed to. Some of the staff is really nice but some there shouldnt have a job. Do yourself a favor and go to Rent-a-Center and steer clear from this place. At least with them Ive not once had a problem in the tons of times dealing with them!

I had the absolute disservice of dealing with Shelton(Sheldon?) today. He was probably the rudest customer service “manager” or person in general I have ever been unfortunate enough to encounter. I truly hope he is never in a situation where he is struggling to make ends meet, you would’ve thought he gave me the furnture right out of his own home. He was very condescending & talked down on me to the point where I don’t want to deal with the store at all anymore & will be seeing if customer service can help me or maybe mediate for me. This store in general is less than understanding. I wonder what the guidelines to qualify for harassment in the state of Virginia are. They can have the stained furniture back. I hope Shelton is personally responsible for cleaning it since he is so desperate for it. He called me at work & let’s just say if I talked to customers the way he talked to me I wouldn’t have a job for him to call & he definitely wouldn’t be getting any money from me then because I wouldn’t have a job to make any at.Edited to say: I have read reviews below & I will already go ahead and send my email as requested of others so maybe Shelton can get the training he needs or even better maybe he can move along to somewhere else that needs his aggressive manner like a true collections agency & maybe he will fall behind on bills & companies will call & degrade him & tell him “I want you to say you can make the payment” when he asks what they want him to say.

Staff are rude actually let me specify management is rude and show no training In customer service. The lower level staff have better customer service than some of the superiors. After being laid off during the pandemic and not receiving any unemployment insurance yet they have threatened me with court in a harassing manner. I am a human being as they are I have since been laid off applying for numerous jobs it is hard out here times are not the same. I am still trying but they are some real jokes when it comes to decency and human respect.

I was paying over $1k extra for a bedroom set and couch that I found for half the price at a furniture store here at Aaron’s. Also their staff was unprofessional and rude because I had asked for a mattress that was on the floor to be told after it was ordered that they no longer were available. If something is discontinued then it shouldn’t be on the show floor.

Jennifer has been amazing.I have purchased a dining room set,living room set,mattress,tv and tv stand.I was helped throughout the whole process.Great staff,I will continue to do business with Aarons!
