Customer services end at the completion of sale. I ordered items to be delivered to their store for pickup on 8/13/2025 a was told I would be notified when the items were ready for pickup. On 8/29/2025 I contacted to store for status just to find out the items were delivered on 8/13/2025 and no one bothered to notify me. This is unacceptable.

This review is for my friend bc she is shy. But she went in looking for a cherrywood chester & an older lady with a bob greeted her but already said she wouldn’t have anything in her price range. Mind you my friend hadn’t told her what the range was but bc that’s how she started off with my friend, she left. And will not be giving her business to the store for one & thank god not to the lady for her commission.

Disappointed with My First Havertys Experience
I recently made my first purchase at Havertys—buying a Tempur-Pedic mattress and an adjustable bed frame—and unfortunately, it was not a great experience.
Despite clearly requesting a standard King frame, the salesperson added the wrong model (Ergo Pro Smart-Split) to my order. I caught the mistake after reviewing my receipt at home and went back to the store the next day to fix it.
What followed was frustrating: I was told the system was down and promised a corrected receipt by the end of the day—nothing came. No calls, no emails, no texts. I had to follow up twice, including a third trip back to the store, just to get the mistake acknowledged. Even then, I was told it would take days to fix. Only when I threatened to cancel the order did anything get done.
After waiting another two hours, I finally received a corrected receipt and a refund for the price difference.
For a first-time customer, this experience was incredibly disappointing. Poor communication, lack of urgency, and disorganized service are not what I expected from a company like Havertys. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their service for future customers.

I called ahead and made sure to discuss exactly what I wanted by name and when I arrived, the sales clerk I had spoken to, named Mary, had saved my info in the wrong name and made minor errors. Mary's attention to detail was very poor. She misspelled things and made several other errors, so much so, that her supervisor had to keep coming over to help her with simple tasks. She was kind and pleasant but I would not consider working with her again. This happened at the Woodbridge VA location.
