Leesylvania State Park is a scenic destination along the Potomac River, rich in history and natural beauty. It is recognized on the National Register of Historic Landmarks and has connections to Native American history and notable Virginia families. The park features a variety of activities, including hiking, picnicking, fishing, and boating. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as a universally accessible fishing pier, playground, boat launch, and a visitor center with a gift shop. The park also offers a 20-station fitness trail and canoe and kayak rentals. While the Lee’s Woods Trail provides a pleasant hiking experience, some paths could use better marking and maintenance. The picnic area and restrooms are noted to need updates and cleaning. On busy days, the park may reach full capacity, limiting entry. Despite some maintenance issues, the park is praised for its beautiful views and healthy outdoor activities, making it a popular spot for families. Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the various facilities while taking in the stunning sunset views along the shore.
The view was amazing and the water was so clean and we fed the ducks!

I just want to say thank you to all who work and volunteer for the Fall Festival. To all the rangers who work there, thank you for caring for the park and visitors! We had an amazing time and will love to come back for the summer camp, fishing and picnics.
