Yesterday was my first time trying Pure Barre and can I just say, wow! I felt so welcome the minute I opened the door. Amanda was the instructor and was thorough and fun. I loved her vibe. Such a good workout!

I was looking for a low-impact and big-result exercise during my postpartum recovery period to regain my fitness level. I have heard about Barre from female friends who seemed to enjoy it, so when I found out that there's a barre studio close to my home, I decided to give it a try. It was probably one of the best decisions I have made this year. I've been going for more than 6 months, and I found myself keep coming back. The studio schedule works really well for me, and the teachers are excellent. Chelsea (the owner and one of the teachers) is doing an amazing job judging from the way the classes are run and taught, as well as how the studio is managed. There's always a vibrant, positive atmosphere every time I enter the studio. The teachers are friendly, knowledgable, flexible, and are always willing to help including with movement modifications if needed (all you have to do is just ask!). Barre itself as an exercise combines yoga, pilates, ballet, and high-intensity strength workouts. It's a total body low-impact workout that has proven to improve strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance. I'd highly recommend this workout and (for those in Woodbridge and surrounding areas: Pure Barre Woodbridge) for anyone who is looking forward to starting to work on their fitness goals, but also (and especially) to women who want to stay fit during pregnancy or going through a postpartum recovery.

Came here on my birthday for a workout and was one minute late and told I could not go into the class. There is no signage indicating this policy and as a non-member I was not aware. Rather than give the grace you would expect for someone the owner and additional person at the desk were condescending and unsympathetic. They tout inclusivity and community but only treat members well. I have been going to other pure barres for years prior to moving here and have never had a worse experience. There are plenty of great workout studious in the area, skip this one.

I have been a member since 2021 and love Pure Barre. Instructors are fantastic, classes are challenging (instructors will help you with modifications if needed), studio is always clean, and everyone is always so welcoming and encouraging. Definitely would recommend to anyone considering joining!

I did a free intro class to get a taste of pure barre. Keep in mind the whole idea of the free intro class is so they can sell you the membership. I was met at the front by a young woman named Robin. She gave me the breakdown and tour of the studio, however, it was obvious she was following some sort of script as she kept “forgetting her lines.” I love a good script but hers’ felt poorly rehearsed and gave me the impression that she didn’t really know what she was talking about. The room has a very noticeable odor, much stronger than it should be. Perhaps they need to hit the carpet floors with a good cleaning or Lysol it down every night. The class itself wasn’t too bad. I found the most challenging part to be the warm up. The instructor was great and the class went by very fast. Of course at the end, they try to sell you a membership. Robin got up and personal with you trying to sell you the membership. I was most definitely interested in getting a membership, however, Robin was very pushy and insistent on members of the class buying their membership right that minute. Someone in class said they would think about it and sign up at home. Robin says in a very accusatory manner…“What’s stopping you from signing up right now???” “What’s the reason???” At that very moment I changed my mind because the whole situation felt very pressured and pushed on to me. Great class, not so great customer interaction.

I was enrolled for 3 months contract. But the front desk ( or the person who was enrolling) told me that I can cancel my subscription by giving 30 days notice. After one month of my enrollment I became very sick and gave my notice. . But they charged me for 3 months. They do not explain clearly regarding the subscription process at the first place. I did not like the class room too .it’s pretty suffocating.

I love this place. The workout is so effective and intense, the owner is the sweetest. The girls that work there are amazing. Definitely recommend it. I went from never working out in years to going 4 times a week. It's such a great place.

You are not going to find a better boutique studio experience than Pure Barre Woodbridge. The owner is there 90% of the time motivating her clients, and supporting the staff. Chelsea teaches classes herself and has several motivated and knowledgeable instructors. I have only been going one month and I am already hooked. All the women are really friendly supportive and the environment is very feminine, which I appreciate as a former body builder/veteran. I love the feminine energy!

Today, I was delighted to see the progress I've made when I took a photo of my back. Over the past two months, I have attended 39 barre classes, and the results have exceeded my expectations. I am pleased to see that I now have muscles in my upper body, which is something I had never experienced before. What's more, I genuinely enjoy attending these classes. Although they are challenging, they are also gratifying, and I always leave the class feeling better than when I arrived. I never considered myself a gym-goer, but I feel like I could be one now thanks to the barre classes.

I did a ClassPass because I was always active and petite until Covid. I am in such a good place mentally, that my next journey to focus on would naturally be my physical one. I didn't think I could do this. My only goal was to not quit and to stay in the room for the full class...and I did and now I am hooked. I feel so fortunate to have taken the first step of completing a foundations class and directly after class I signed up for an unlimited membership. If you are having any doubts, this is your place. It is everyone's place. Chelsea and all instructors, employees, and members have created a beautiful, safe community for you to do your thing and thrive. The community here lifts each other. They are non-judgmental, diverse, and beautiful. During my first class I was asked about my "why". I simply wanted more accountability. I had no clue I would gain an empowering community and more confidence as well. I love coming to class. I love pushing myself. I feel a sense of fitness motivation I have not felt in years. I love the encouragement everyone gives and receives from one another. This studio is such a happy place. It is clean, bright, and radiates good vibes. It has exceeded all expectations I had set. Tomorrow will be class 10 and there will be many more to follow. PBW is WONDERFUL! Thank you everyone who helps to make this place so special for all.
