I am very disappointed with my experience with Truist Bank. I feel like I was treated unfairly and that the bank's policies are misleading. I went to this brunch I waited there for 23 minutes after that the brunch manager came Sarah Wardak she told me I am in a rush I have to leave call me tomorrow I will review your account. They really don't care about the customers. They don't care about your time. When you go to deposit money it will take your so long just to deposit some money there tailers are sleepy slow has hill. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. THEY ARE JUST WAST OF TIME...

the worst customer service I have experienced. tried to resolve an issue with my account over the phone like I have before with my other banks just to be yelled at the criticized. instead of offering a solution a staff member repeated that I had done something wrong as if I didn’t need to get things approved with the bank first. The issue was not resolved over the phone and I had to go in person. There I was helped by a nice staff member luckily but the rude staff member that spoke to me on the phone came over again and spoke to me in the most condescending rude way I have been spoken to. She ignored me when I talked and talked over me I have never experienced that. I was not even upset about the card issue but the way she spoke to me over the phone and in person was so unacceptable. If you can go to a different branch or completely different bank you should.

I have been banking with Sun Trust now Truist Bank for many Years. I made a sizable deposit on August 24, 2023 and the check cleared Truist bank on August 25,2023. I see online that Truist Bank put a hold on the check for 6 business days or a total of 9 days. No one at the Lorton bank could tell me why. I also notice that Truist both here and in Florida has been closing down locations. I am sure they are cutting costs along with making interest on check holds with other customers. The Lorton bank has very few employees and sometimes gets jammed up at the drive thru and also long waiting periods inside. Maybe this is part of the coming banking crisis we keep hearing about.

I have been banking with BB&T forever. And then, the merger with SunTrust occurred and every aspect of what was once a reputable and community-based financial institution has deteriorated: customer service, exorbitant fees, and mostly, the integrity of the system. Needless to say, once my current check clears, I will be closing my account: not that it matters much because I am a teacher who doesn't contribute enough to Truist's bottom line.Here's the scenario: Truist is administratively holding a $7,000.00 check that I deposited to my account last Friday. The funds will not be available until June 29. This is an eleven day hold. When I asked customer service about the hold, they said that they have to verify that WellsFargo has the money in their account. eleven days for $7,000.00. I did a little research and Truist is holding the $7,000.00 in an interest bearing account that benefits Truist, not me. I'm not sure what the interest rate is on this "holding account" nor do I know where the funds actually reside, but to me, this is theft and fraud.Please be careful where you place your money, and certainly reconsider banking with Truist. My next call is to my financial attorney. I'm at least owned the interest that they underhandedly accrued on my behalf.Truist: Trust with a lower case i. How cliche'.

Clean friendly but lack of people will have you standing n line for an hour just to cash a check.. how is that possible you have 2 tellers but 13 people standing waiting n starting to become irritated cause this is stupid.

Sandra lacks customer service and when I asked her if they would keep my old card she said "I mean it doesn't work" and slid it across the desk to me almost like a throw. The bankers do not acknowledge you and make you wait until they feel like helping you out. The number one reason I don't go inside the bank, I just use the ATM, but my card no longer works. There's no point in keeping 3 people in the branch when there's only one client that they can't even give prompt service. I do have to say the lady working the drive-through has wonderful service and is always kind.
