Tynes Automotive is efficient and honest! I brought my Infiniti in after receiving an overpriced dealership quote. Tynes confirmed the same repairs but saved me $500$600. The work was excellent, service was quick, and the staff was trustworthy. I'll definitely return for all my future automotive needs highly recommend!

Awful experience at this shop. I brought my classic Mustang here for a tune up. Upon their recommendation, I agreed to have them replace the clutch and resurface the flywheel. After only 100 miles, the car became undrivable. They denied all responsibility and refused to make any effort to rectify the situation after several attempts were made.
When I went to pick the car up it was filthy and had been left out in the rain. On the drive home I immediately felt a drivetrain vibration. Leon dismissed my concerns and insisted, ‘You do not have a vibration’. He agreed to look at a separate issue with the work he did on the distributor and told me to meet him 8 am sharp the next morning. I was there, but he did not show up. When I drove it down there again, he acknowledged the vibration after a test drive, but shrugged it off, saying, “I think you just have an old car”.
I drove the car on a few occasions when suddenly the minor vibration turned into a major one. I had it towed to a reputable mechanic who later found serious issues: a warped flywheel with hot spots and damaged U-joints. According to the mechanic, the flywheel had not been resurfaced properly which caused the clutch to slip and the U joints must have been damaged during the clutch replacement process since this vibration did not exist before. I had to pay several thousand again for a new clutch, with a brand new flywheel and U joints, which fixed the problem. Again, this is only after 100 miles!
The car drives great now. When I called Leon and explained what happened, he denied any wrongdoing and tried to claim that the vibration was there all along and I should have had the driveshaft rebalanced, but I suspected that was not the issue and as it turns out, it was not. See receipts and pictures/videos of the mechanic’s findings.
It is baffling to me that they would let the car out of their shop in that condition and then push back so hard and deflect when obvious issues were brought up. All I can say is I’m sorry I trusted these guys with my classic and I would not recommend them to anyone. There are mechanics out there who know what they are doing and will treat you and your car with respect.

I've been getting my cars serviced at Tynes automotive for 25 years. My dad even drives his vehicles up from central Virginia to have his serviced and repaired. The one thing that we love about Leon and his crew is that they are honest, fair and they do really good work. I'm never looking for the cheapest fix when it comes to my cars, I want the best...because my family rides with me. Leon and Tynes automotive are the best mechanics in Woodbridge Virginia hands down.

Had a complicated issue with my car that even the dealership couldn’t handle. Leon saved me from 7 weeks of car hell. He’s truly amazing at what he does and has world class customer service. Also his bird Bandit who stays in the shop is super cute and friendly. Highly recommend them!

I was introduced to Leon and Jr. at Tynes Automotive a couple years ago, after purchasing a classic 63 Cadillac convertible. After talking with Leon for about 30 minutes on the phone, I Knew I wasn’t going to take the car anywhere else. Not anybody can be trusted to work on a car like this, but Leon, Junior, and quite frankly the entire team, went above and beyond to get the car into tip top shape. It wasn’t easy either. There were issues with available parts, and many other challenges, but their attention to detail, and their ability to creatively work through problems made the process so much easier. I’m grateful for their services, and they have definitely earned a customer for life. Thanks guys!

My family and I have been going to Tynes for several years now. While I typically prefer to maintain my vehicles myself to ensure the job is done correctly and not constrained by budget (using cheap parts or doing minimal work), life’s demands have made it necessary to delegate some of these responsibilities. With kids, work, and other priorities, Tynes has become a trusted partner.
Their service has consistently been trustworthy, timely, and thorough. The quality of their work on my vehicles, along with their exceptional customer service, has been impressive. They have earned my continued business, and I have recommended them to friends and family without hesitation.

I have been using Leon to work on my vehicles for near 20 years. I'm not sure what brought me to his shop but glad I did. It's really hard to find good diagnostic mechanics and that works on diesel. I did see a bad comment on here which there seems there is alot of holes in her story. So don't listen to her look at all the other 5 star reviews. No more looking for a good mechanic he is right here.

From the day they moved across the street I started bringing my fleet of vehicles to Tynes Automotive. What a relief it was to have Leon and team right next door. It's the attention to detail and understanding that my trucks run all day and if they didn't run my guys didn't work. Leon and his team stressed preventive maintenance, it's not a myth, and I believe it kept all my work truck with hundreds of thousands of miles running strong. They not only work on my trucks, they also work on a lot of my equipmentand.They take care of my personal vehicles and the vehicles of friends and family. They are valuable member of our team.

First class mechanics who know how to fix cars, not just replace parts. I was referred to them by a coworker and they did an outstanding job at a very fair price. Since then I have referred friends and coworkers to them and everyone has been very happy with the quality of work and prices.

I would NOT recommend this place for Jaguars. Dropped the car off last November got it back before Christmas only to find the new steering rack they installed was rattling also asked them to fix the transmission and was not done, then returned the car on December 27 for them to keep ot till 5/17 to get it back still broke because the speed sensor in the transmission was to hard for them to find and replace. Dropped the car off at Rodney's Transmission in Fredericksburg 5/19 sunday and the car is ready and fixed on 5/21. Also would like to add I had tynes install a new diehard battery the first round and at pick up the second round the battery was plum dead and had to be jumped started. The transmission shop said this was a easy fix and obviously the parts are readily available.

We had an ambulance that was four hours from home that started having an issue that we were able to diagnose over the phone, unfortunately the distance made the repair impossible for me. These guys were amazing and helped us get our staff back on the road quickly and with a fair price.

If you need a professional mechanic, this is the place before any other person touches your car!! The owner truly cares and it shows just by the photos in his office. The man knows motors in and out. So glad I found this place. My car runs better than when I first drove it.
