“I absolutely enjoy going into this store! Marlene and Brandy (usually there in the morning are amazing! Marlene is always smiling, joking and seems to love her job. Brandy is one of the most friendly employees there! She always knows exactly what cigarettes I get (even though I switch it up sometimes ?) she’s such a fun person, her personality is outstanding! Whitney is an absolute doll as well she has amazing customer service skills (as do they all) even when they are super busy they always call me by name and they work hard to provide great customer service. Esther the Store Manager always makes it a point to greet me and runs the store exceptionally well! Store is always clean and when I get coffee, if it’s even just a little bit old (I have never had bad coffee there) they’ll offer to brew it fresh! So I’m an extremely happy to always go in and get what I need and chat if they’re not too busy. So ladies keep up the great work, I appreciate each and every one of you! Thank you all for all you do!!!Jamie”
“Not exactly Mt. Jackson, but when it comes to **instrument repair and service, it might as well be!**
I’m talking about **Radio Shack of Woodstock** — and more specifically, James, who just worked some serious magic on my 12-string.
I took my guitar in for an overhaul because, honestly, the thing was practically **unplayable**. One of the tuning machine heads was missing, and there was some pretty serious corrosion from years of neglect. My own dumb decision to keep it next to an aquarium certainly didn’t help — the salt and moisture had absolutely taken their toll.
James took a look at it and told me straight up that the cost of fully restoring it would exceed the value of the instrument. He said the best he could realistically do was get it playable again.
So I agreed.
I brought it home afterward, admittedly pretty disappointed. I figured my favorite guitar was probably on its last legs.
Then I started playing it.
**HOLY CRAP.**
This guitar has **NEVER sounded this good. EVER.**
Seriously — listen for yourself. Because if *this* is what James considers “making it playable,” I’m not sure what his definition of “fully restored” is! 😂
What I thought was a guitar on its way out suddenly sounds absolutely fantastic.
So, if you need **instrument repair, setup, or service**, do yourself a favor and talk to **James at Radio Shack of Woodstock**.
Not only does he do damn good work, but it's refreshing to deal with someone who actually **knows what they're talking about**, gives you an honest assessment, and then goes above and beyond what you expected.
**James, you absolutely brought my old girl back to life. Thank you! 🎸**
If you need instrument work done, **Radio Shack of Woodstock is definitely worth checking out.**”
