Boiling Wilson pretended to hire me. Had me work an 8 hour shift on a Sunday and ended up not hiring me and not paying me for my labor.Rooms: They were dirty especially the showers.

This boutique hotel is so unexpected and such a great value. The entire theme of Edith Bolling Wilson, first lady of the 28th president of the United States, is so well done. Her love of orchids, bourbon and canaries is obvious with the choice of art work, the hotel restaurant, and the rooftop lounge (The Perch in honor of her love of canaries) The wonderfully scented shower gel that is provided, and shampoo and conditioner makes it so convenient to pack lightly. Keurig coffee machines in each room and views of the Blue Ridge Parkway only adds to the specialness. Exceptionally clean and and amazing walkable town. One of my favorite places to stay!

This is a lovely, historic hotel. The rooms were very nice. However, they made a very poor choice in the heating and cooling units in the rooms. This is the first hotel where the noise in the room kept me awake. The unit in our room sounded like a metronome. The unit in our friend's room made a squealing noise each time the heat cycled on. This hotel is not recommended if you want to sleep in the room. We finally turned the unit off so that we had no heat (in December).

Room was good, location was great, the breakfast on Sunday morning was pathetic! There was NO hot breakfast which is included in the price of stay and instead they brought out coffee 1 hour after posted times abd they what seemed to be 2 week old bagels! What a shame and don't trust what they advertise because they do not deliver.

Very nice hotel, friendly lady at the reception as well as the folks behind the Bar. Nice room and comfy bed to boot. BUT, UNFORTUNATELY, the Pasta Alfredo Dinner was one big disappointment. It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare fresh pasta. You don't serve a glob of pasta that is practically glued together by the "Sauce" from last week insufficiently heated up in a microwave. Breakfast can be described in one word: SAD. A nice hotel of this caliber should offer a nicer breakfast than the lowest priced Motel Chain in the US. Just charge $ 10 or $ 15 more a night.I will be back to stay here, have a drink at the bar but will pass on Dinner and skip breakfast.

Beautiful little boutique hotel in a great little town. We are well traveled in the US and Europe and you will not find a better hotel especially for the money. Gosh we paid $150 and thought what's the catch because it was a fantastic stay. It's the little things that make a hotel great and these folks went all on on decor. We only spent one night but we will stay again if in the area and plan on a visit possibly next spring. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because honestly I'm very picky on cleaning and while it was very clean there were a few little things that could have been attended to. The glass shower door was a little hazy and there was a little dust on the bathroom shelves and some hairs (not the bad kind) on the bathroom floor. If someone were to be just a little more attentive this place could charge much more per night. In any case we will be back and we adore this little town.

Stayed two nights at this hotel this past weekend. Our room was 101 - right next to the lobby, so we were awakened very early each morning by the sound of guests checking in/out, heading for breakfast, working on the front desk, cleaning and maintenance staff.....we hear all conversations! The response from the front desk when we shared our discontent was "oh no!". If you find yourself reserving a room at this establishment, be sure to request for an upstairs room! The inclusive breakfast also left a lot to be desired.

The Bolling Wilson is one of the nicest hotels in the area. It’s part of the choice brand. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The staff always seems to be friendly and helpful. I’d recommend a stay here. The rooms have a shower/tub combo for people whom like baths as well a shower. The lobby is clean. The breakfasts are nice. There’s plenty of parking in the rear of the hotel. Also located on the property is a nice restaurant and a roof top bar.
