The owner is very busy running several locations and breeding reptiles, with a large number of animals in care, including over 1,000 snakes in the back. The store has a distinctive smell due to the many live animals. Customers shop there for all types of reptile needs, food supplies, and animal purchases, with some traveling a significant distance to visit. The atmosphere is engaging, featuring birds by the entrance, including a macaw and a cockatoo. The business has grown from a tiny place and continues to improve. While the staff stays busy and the experience is best for those not in a super big hurry, the store is highly recommended for reptile and small animal purchasing.
Have shopped there for years, since they were a tiny place in Newport News. Always received phonominal customer service there and they are constantly looking to grow and improve. I look forward to seeing what they do in the next 10 years.

Go here all the time for my beardie. They always have an update for when their next shipment comes in and has great recommendations. Love the staff here too!

Staff is comprised of serious animal lovers. Always very helpful. It does usually sink a bit in this store... but they have a lot of live animals so.... guess it comes with the territory.
