I just want to say that the staff at Rite Aid has always been good. I have been going there for over 9 years and yes I've seen lots of turnover in the staff and staffing/ supply shortages for sure. But having owned a retail store before I can only imagine how hard it must be now. The girls at the register always smile and do what they can to help out in a tough situation! Kudos to all of them!! I only wish the people writing the bad reviews knew the whole story /and or have lived here in A-town long enough to see them go through tough transitions like Covid and supply chain shortages , staffing issues, etc.!Keep up the good work Rite Aid proud to say, " You guys rock!"

The store is short staffed and it shows. The lines are always long and the working staff stressed. I prefer rite aid over Walgreens but I do wish the pharmacy was able to keep staff. I haven't been mistreated or had a bad experience but I feel the tension every time I go there.

Yesterday I witnessed the visiting pharmacist from Whibey island not only be disrespectful to me, but extremely heartless to another patron. She tried to first make a huge deal out of coming from there. it's a 20 minute drive and another young woman came from Olympia the other day with no complaints. this patron expressed how life threatening it is, to not have her medication. She didn't care and actually laughed at this patron. then tried to deny it and say they were laughing at their misery; mind you myself and others heard her mocking the woman saying she was crazy. this patron had every right to be upset. this pharmacist refused to look up the number to another pharmacy for me saying the store doesn't pay her cellphone bill. it was to transfer my folic acid. if that isn't bad enough I'm pregnant and got told it was otc. i have a script for it. and got told she understood my issue but it wasn't her problem.disgusting.

There was a maskless woman in there today *coughing* and when I asked the employee to please enforce mask wearing, she told me that "legally" they can't enforce mask wearing. Actually, it is completely legal, and it's the choice of their business not to enforce it. We are literally under an emergency order right now in Washington state as covid-19 cases continue to climb. Don't lie to your customers. It is 100% your choice to allow people to walk around your store without a mask and cough near others. Rite Aid should be ashamed.

I wish I could give zero stars. Anacortes is " The Gateway to The San Juan Islands". Unless you are lucky enough to live on an island large enough for a pharmacy, you probably count on an Anacortes pharmacy.... Well pick one of the other ones in Anacortes. They simply DO NOT CARE if you get meds or NOT! My bad experience: My mother died at home recently so I neglected a cold as we were working on her funeral service. It turned in to bronchitis. Because of her death, my father needing me and the considerable expense of a water taxi round trip, I was quite ill by the time I was prescribed a Z-pak, two prescription cough syrups & an EMERGENCY inhaler. They were called in and I called to make sure they understood that I needed to pick them up in 90 min. MAX in order to catch the LAST boat to the island. I was very nice and not demanding, in spite of several poor experiences with my parents getting meds there in the past. I was not insistent, only letting them know that was my ONLY chance to get them. When they weren't ready and I couldn't wait, the staff didn't care at all. I told them I was going to have to go catch my boat. When I called back to see when they WOULD be ready, I was told maybe tomorrow. At this point, I was rude. I live with my 75year old father who just lost his wife of 53years. I need to stay healthy, and not give him bronchitis or pneumonia ( because , untreated, thats what could happen). I am not a person who wants special treatment, just good customer service . Like one could get at Safeway or Walgreens were I will go from now on.

We have been getting rxs at Rite Aid for 20 years. Have never had a problem. They are always efficient and polite and the pharmacist is very helpful. Have always had great service.

Most of the people in the pharmacy are very nice. However, there is one(who's name I will leave out) is very condescending and rude. My main complaint is the fact that they will message you that a prescription is ready but everytime it isn't. It's like they want to walk you around the store for at least 30 minutes in hope that you will buy more of their products. Mike Jones

I used to like this place but after what I saw last evening I don't think I'll ever shop here again. Let me just say I switched my prescriptions from Walmart to rite aid for 2 reasons. Reason one is I was told by a friend rite aid pharmacy treats you like a person and this is true Shay makes me feel like more than a piggy bank every time. Reason two is the gay guy up front who helps me find the perfect nail color Everytime I need it or he will offer me ideas on other colors or brands. But what I saw last evening was beyond what I thought rite aid represented the gay guy was up front helping the line as fast as he could must of been like 10-12 people standing there he was doing such a great job I wasn't complaining I didn't mind waiting but when I saw 4 of his other co workers walk past the front look at us and keep going on their way I thought to myself guess we don't matter than later maybe like 5 people checked out this young girl maybe 19 dark haired walks behind the counter and says " where you going to call someone" in a rude tone. I was shocked this same girl who saw us all there waiting but didn't help out had the nerve to tear into her co worker who was actually doing his job. If this is how rite aid treats their employees I don't wanna support them sorry Shay from pharmacy but I pulled out and moved to wallgreens I'll miss you - Liam

Mary is amazing. Tammy or whatever her name is should be fired for sure, she's rude, mean to customers, and just hid away in the back room wheel while Mary held down the fort up front! GO MARY YOU GET IT GIRL!

Very poor customer service. Every time I call/ go in the store the employees make me feel like a burden when I ask for help or am trying to check out. Walgreens in Anacortes has much friendlier customer service and I will be going there from now on.

The pharmacy gets 5/5 stars. They mostly know my name, are fast, and I always leave there satisfied with the service I received. The front of the store gets 3/5, as they are much slower to checkout usually. All the staff are fairly nice. I recommend this Right Aid.

The staff is so unhelpful and always have side conversations with each other when you're ringing up items. The pharmacy staff is very helpful, and quick to checkout.
