We have used Arlington Hardware on several occasions for hard-to-find items, specifically for my husband's ice hockey equipment. Each time he walks out mad and swearing never to return. The employees are rude (especially the gals at the front desk) humorless, and snappish. Their prices are high and for the gas we spend, we will order online. (P.S. The young women upstairs are friendly and outgoing. They can ignore this bad review.)

I like the selection I like what they have although it seems like the controversy is kind of overshadow the vibe in there at times. I hope that they are able to deal with their copyright issues with the artists that have a wedged that they have stolen their artwork.

One of my favorite boutiques around, I love their clothes and home decor selections! Always receive great service and the store is very clean/organized. Little pricey but no different than any other boutique around and I love supporting local!

First time here today, beautiful store! The only thing that could make it better is a dedicated toy section. But I did end up finding the perfect toy that I was looking for as a gift. And they kindly offered to bag it up nicely for me.Thank you, AH!

The cult like following this place has is a mystery to me. They seem to only to cater to straight middle-aged/old white men and high-school/college aged women. My experiences there seemed fine until I was in there with my mixed race family. We were treated poorly and followed on multiple occasions we will never return!

Sure, their clothing is “cute” But also ALMOST ALL OF THEIR ART WORK IS STOLEN from LOCAL artists! They call themselves a “small town” local hardware store. All they are is a glorified coastal farm store. The prices are ridiculous and the staff is even worse! I refuse to spend $1 in that store and I recommend you don’t either! I’m all for supporting local but I will NEVER support this horrible business!

I came from out if town to find a sweatshirt. It was on their Facebook page. I couldn't find it when I got there. To my surprise, the screenprint was available, and I was able to have it made, for me, on the spot. I absolutely love it. Such wonderful customer service and such friendly staff! A definite place to go for beautiful and unique items. I will be back...soon!

AH has a good selection of items, and decent customer service depending on who you’re dealing with… but unfortunately their “Working Hard” motto doesn’t seem to apply to their apparel design department which has stolen many of their most popular designs both from large corporations, and local small businesses. This really hurts the small businesses they’ve stolen from. This is lazy, dirty, and low, and the fact they’d intentionally steal from fellow businesses speak volumes about their character. I’m really disappointed they’ve decided stealing is okay for them. Their attitude when confronted by the businesses they’ve stolen from is nasty and mean. It’s so sad to see such a historic business to the Arlington area stoop so low. I will not be shopping with this business any more.

More than just a hardware store. The clothes are high quality at an affordable price, the household items/decorations are fantastic. Never disappointed when I come here.

Noticed in some other reviews a couple things I need to voice my thoughts. one was an anti LGBTQ bias at AH. Sorry you experienced that, but I suspect it wasn't the store - It's Arlington after all. A community with older community values. I also saw a comment on price. My first trip there, I expected the same. But my first trip and all subsequent trips (many), I find the opposite to be true. I find the prices reasonable, and comparable to other places I'd go. And the bonus is I get genuine old fashioned service every tim. For real. In hardware or paint, or any department, there is a guy/gal I can walk up to, tell them what I'm in need of, and seconds later it's in my hands. I'd pay for that service, but don't feel I do.

I have lived in Arlington since 1979 and always love supporting local business. Have shopped at Arlington Hardware all these years. After the recent turn of events finding out they protested the Arlington Gay Pride by closing their doors on a Saturday ( their biggest sales day) July 22. We actually heard rumors about town why they were closing their doors on that day (because they cannot speak the truth) so we went into the store to ask. Asked to speak to management only to be told management was not available. So we asked several different cashiers, two upstairs and one downstairs. The question was simple..."why is Arlington Hardware closing on July 22 during Gay Pride"......Three different answers . #1 cashier, closing because of Gay Pride #2 cashier, closing because we are having the parking lot re surfaced ( still has not been done) #3 cashier, closing because we are giving our staff " family day". Too funny the lies but NOT funny the bigoted attitude of management. I will no longer ever do business there ever again, cannot support a bigoted homophobic business that does not serve the entire community. Shame on you Arlington Hardware, we now have to burn everything we ever purchased from you. You do not represent our community at all.

I had heard wonderful things about Arlington Hardware. Myself and two friends decided to take a day trip to Arlington with the highlight of shopping at this store. We brought our children along, so we could see what items they may like and make sure they fit properly. Unfortunately, we let the kids enter the store first, while we held the door. The kids were greeted with a "No! Out!" They paused and looked at us. I asked them what was wrong and then saw a woman yelling "Nope, not with out your parents, out!" My friends and I entered and said "Is there a problem, we're the parents?"The woman then said "Ok" and glared as we walked in. The kids were loud, but didn't touch or harm anything. We continued to look around and had other employees politely ask if we needed help. One friend bought a few sweatshirts, and then we left. We exited the same door we entered with the same woman at the counter. She didn't look at us or even say thank you or apologize . It was a terrible first impression and left a bad taste for all of us. I refused to purchase anything and my friend took her items back. I emailed to log a complain, but never got a response. Won't recommend this store to anyone, especially with kids. Being kind goes a long way with paying costumers.

Cutest hardware shop around, never thought you’d hear that right? Not only can you get everything you need to fix anything around the house, your lady can get herself a cute sweatshirt and candle. Love it. Unique!
