Project Pat keepin it trippy out here in Ashford yall. This place reminds me of those bagels you get from the grocery store that are frozen and so you have to microwave them first and then toast them but you still know it for sure ain't fresh but it's all good because they're cheap a** bagels from Safeway and you're just chillin at your house on a Saturday. It's kind of like that. Also, the fact y'all don't cream cheese the bagel either about kills me. Coffee keeps it real. Breakfast sandwich: for a microwaved bagel this place kind of pops off. If there was more competition from a local bakery y'all would have a tough time but enjoy what y'all have goin right now. Stay trill. 5 stars.

I stayed there several times and a perfect for a launch to the mountain. A great place to get a hamburger and a beer on the way back. Great place for a hot chocolate and the way to Rainier.

Stumbled upon this cozy little coffee house, and glad we did! The eggnog lattes are excellent. Nice selection of ice creams and sorbets too. The staff was friendly and greeted us with a smile. And, learned that it's owned by the first American to top Mount Everest. Had no idea! Lots of pictures and memorabilia adorn the walls. Small rock climbing "play ground" out front for the kiddos too. Small bites offered as well.

This is quirky but fun. We had 2 rooms in the Lodge which were Huge, both clean and tidy. Wi-Fi, Fridge, Microwave but no Coffee unless you pay for it in Reception. Bath/Shower. No complaints about this at all, ample parking and fun place in a rural setting. Would happily go again.

Decent place to stay for visiting Mt Rainier National Park. Good-sized room with two beds, but one of them wasn't particularly comfortable. There was no TV in the room, either. Hot tub on property was welcome after a day of hiking in the Park. Good ice cream in the store!

Their remarkable story and mountaineering legacy add an extraordinary dimension to our overall experience, making it even more special for my family. Jim Whittaker achieved worldwide fame in 1963 when he became the first American to summit Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. His pioneering spirit, determination, and love for the mountains have inspired countless individuals, and his accomplishment still resonates today. Meanwhile, Lou Whittaker, Jim's brother, is a renowned mountaineer and respected mountain guide. In 1969, Jim and Lou Whittaker joined forces to establish Rainier Mountaineering Inc. (RMI), a company dedicated to guiding expeditions and providing mountaineering services in the Mount Rainier area. As part of their commitment to fostering a love for the outdoors, they created Whittaker's Bunkhouse, a place where families like ours can experience the magic of Mount Rainier and pay homage to the Whittaker legacy. Great little place to stop before you get into the park. For sure, stop in. We make it a regular stop before getting to the park.
