I’m so fed up with this company. We’ve been using them ffor about 8 weeks now. Every time I’ve had to deal with them, it’s like pulling teeth. I get a different answer every time. I have been calling for a refill for the past 8 days and still nothing. I’m down to 8% and I was told “MAYBE” tomorrow. Last night we slept without heat on because it’s getting so low and I guess we’ll be doing that again tonight.

My husband & I filed a consumer protection complaint regarding the questionable business practices of CHS Northwest, a propane supplier in Washington State. The complaint provides a detailed accounting of the actions taken by CHS with their products and service. It is our position that CHS demonstrated unethical business practices when they refused to service their equipment, and left a tank with a broken gauge after our yearly fill in August, 2021. CHS took advantage of their broken equipment to increase their profits at our expense, while refusing to repair or replace their equipment.We were with CHS for over ten years needing only one summer fill which lasted 12 months. Our average one time summer fill for the previous five years (2016 - 2020) was 40.40 gallons at an average cost to us of $108.52. Once CHS was notified their tank gauge was broken, CHS sent out fill orders rather than repair orders. With no way to tell if they were actually filling our tank (since fills are now recorded back East) CHS charged us and we ended up paying $798.66 for 202 gallons of propane from November 26th, 2021 (we turned on our fireplace pilot November 1st) to March 15, 2022 when we fired CHS. We are now with Peak Propane and couldn't be happier.On March 15th, I sent a letter to CHS demanding a refund of the $798.66 as well as our prorated lease fee of $53.14. Attached to my letter was a detailed outline of our previous fill history, their failures to repair our tank along with pictures of how CHS left our tank after the last fill, all of which supported my refund. To date, CHS has ignored my request. CHS removed their full tank on April 12, 2022.Does this sound like a company you want providing your propane? I think not.

Until this winter, the services of this company were good. We would call them when our propane level is between 20 and 30% and they would usually refill it even before it reaches 20%. No matter was it dry, wet or snowy. I talked to their drivers as well last year - Gary and John - very nice, hard-working people. Therefore the extra star. However, this winter things changed. They installed their monitoring equipment, so we check the level without going outside and they can monitor it. I liked the idea, so I don't have to stress out about the level. When the propane level was between 20 and 30% (still close to 30), we called - just to make sure we would not run low on propane. They assured us that there is no reason to worry - they are monitoring it and everything is under control. When the level was below 20% we called again -and, the same story - but this time the lady told us - we could count on a delivery early next week. The week passed, nothing happened. We reached the level close to 13%, we called again. We were told the same story - no reason to worry, they are monitoring it. We should expect delivery soon - she just created the order. As of today 01/29/2022, we are at 9%. I called the CHS Northwest emergency phone number this time - the lady was nice, took the necessary information, and said that she would reach out. I am awaiting them to call me back with additional info. I have shut down the heating to preserve the remaining propane, so I have at least warm water for the next few days. I understand that sometimes it's the snow, it's the ice that causes trouble - but this time it's not the case. I understand that it might be caused by the overall issues because of COVID. If that is the case, then I would hope that they would be transparent about it - and it did not happen. I hope that this all is related to miscommunication and that things will get back to normal. In that case, I will review them again and share my honest opinion. Update 1: As I said in my initial review, I called them on 01/29/2022 around 9 AM. They delivered the propane by 12:30 PM.

What AWEFUL customer service. Do not recommend at all!!! We purchased a home with a monitor already installed by CHS. When our tank was around 35% percent we called, setup an account, filled out the credit app and off we went. Never owned a home with a tank before but was CHS said “no need to worry”. We were told our tank was being monitored and when it was around 25% they would fill for us. Now here we are a month later during a cold spell, out of propane with no heat and no one will even answer the phone. Stay Away if you can!

20 years of excellent service with CHS of Auburn. I recently had a emergency situation with a gas leak. This was during after business hours and within minutes of my call to there dispatch center Darcy from CHS of Auburn was on the phone with me talking about options and what we needed to do to stay safe and fix the problem. Darcy was willing to come out immediately and fix the leak but since we were safe and out of harms way I said it could wait until morning. Darcy was at our residence at 0830 sharp the following morning and fixed the problem . We could not be happier with the service we have recently received and over the past 20 years from CHS, How lucky we are to have such a reputable honest business in our area, truly a blessing. Darcy thank you so much for great customer service, your the best of the best.

CHS Northwest and Darcy Scheetz have been awesome to work with. Darcy has been amazing at helping my wife and I with permits, tank location and service. We had a minor problem the other day and Darcy came to our rescue right away. Couldn't be happier with our service!

Good prices, quick fill, and the service is performed with professional attention to safety.I had a great conversation with the service attendant that highlights how easily LP is misunderstood and mishanded. They carefully inspected my tank prior to fill and _subtly_ pointed out the checks as he was making them. I feel more confident getting my tank filled here over elsewhere.I'll be coming back here to fill up season after season.

THEY ONLY HAVE ONE EMPLOYEE ON SITE. They had two weeks to recertify my tanks and due to understaffing cannot meet promised service dates or even answer the phone.I sat on hold for 10 minutes, called customer service located in Sumner Washington and was told that they only had one employee at the Auburn location and they could only send them a message and have me wait until it WAS CONVENIENT FOR THEM TO CONTACT ME!

Don't trust this place, took 4 - 5 gallon propane tanks and each tank holds 4.5 gallons . The guy pumped 19.1 gallons and tanks can only hold 18 gallons if totally empty.Hello,I am gone away visiting family. I will see you when I get back. The service is very good and efficient at filling my propane tanks. I appreciate that. Thanks for your reply
