“I’m a nurse at nearby hospital & at 9pm tonight a patient wanted to receive communion before her surgery in the morning. There was no on call hospital chaplain available so I called this church nearby & asked if they are able to come & provide communion for my patient. The person who answered the call was pleasant & transferred me directly to Father Dion. Father Dion did not hesitate to come & was here in 30 mins. The patient received communion. I did not meet Father Dion because I was busy but the patient was extremely grateful & would not stop thanking me that they were able to receive the communion before the surgery. Thank you so much St Vincent De Paul & Father Dion!”

“This is a truly beautiful devotional place that brings so much peace and calmness. The moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels serene and grounding — perfect for quiet reflection and spiritual recharge. It’s a spot that genuinely soothes the mind and heart. One thing to note: on weekends, parking can be a bit challenging since a few other events often take place in the neighboring areas. It’s still manageable, but arriving a little early or planning definitely helps.”

“Not too long ago I visited Federal Way Mission church. I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality from Pastor Younger Sun and the churches youth. In a predominantly Korean church Pastor Younger Sun made sure I felt accepted. He would offer breakfast each time I was there and took the time to talk to me about church values and life. He also ensured that I was fed lunch after every service I attended. Every Sunday morning Pastor picks up the youth up north from Seattle and would take them back after services, I was picked up as well. Great leadership 🤙🏽”

“What a special haven in Kent! From the sacred sound of the bells to the serene décor, KAILASA Seattle offers a heart‑opening space. I was especially struck by the grandeur of the Nataraja deity and how the architecture and layout support a feeling of timelessness and devotion.  During my visit I joined the evening meditation session—simple yet powerful—and felt a calm settle into my mind and body. The temple’s inclusive approach (open to all, irrespective of background) was truly meaningful.  It’s clear there’s more than just ritual here: a thoughtful blend of devotion, yoga & community connection. I’ll definitely return and would recommend it to others seeking more than the standard temple visit.Om Namah shivaya ???”

“I had hoped for a welcoming first experience, especially after communicating with church staff by email beforehand. I was invited to come in to learn more about the church and its childcare options, and my visit was confirmed before I arrived. Unfortunately, when I came in, there seemed to be confusion about why I was there and who could help me. The staff member I had been emailing briefly introduced herself but then walked away without explaining where I should go next. Another person directed me toward the daycare, but it took some additional asking to understand where it was located and how to get there. I appreciated that the daycare entrance was secured, as safety is important. However, the entry area had a strong odor that made me uneasy, and the overall interaction felt rushed and unclear. I received conflicting information about whether children from my children’s school could attend and whether transportation arrangements could be made. As a parent looking for after-school care, I had expected a brief tour, information about the program or curriculum, and a clearer explanation of how the children are supervised and engaged. Instead, I was told that children would receive a snack and spend time in a small room with a television and table. I also noticed toys appeared to be put away rather than available for use. Seeing several children in a room without an adult visibly present made me concerned about supervision. I understand that every program has busy moments and that staff may have been managing other responsibilities. Still, I left feeling confused rather than welcomed or informed. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended, because I believe families considering the program would benefit from clearer communication, a warmer introduction, and more transparency about daily routines, supervision, and learning activities.”
