They care about their animals, they work hard to give newbies a grounding in horse health and safe riding. If you want your child to really learn to be a horse person, this is the place to start. Some facilities have a snob factor and that can put off a person for life. This place is friendly to newbies.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lesson was very useful. My only recommendation for improvement was for the port a potty to be cleaner. Overall this was a great experience. I would recommend for beginners and experienced riders alike.

The response to my review is laughable. You did anything but go "out of your way". You were rude to me and cancelled my reservation instead of honoring the terms and conditions you yourself have listed.

A Groupon for horse back riding led me to this hidden gem. Bonnie has done an amazing job keeping all of her horses happy and healthy. I felt very safe and well equipped for the trail ride we went on - and it was only my 2nd time on a horse!

Trail ride was advertised as being 45 minutes, unfortunately my trail -ride group spent half of that time getting on the horses and lining them up. Trail-ride had many children in the group who needed to be chaperoned by parent on foot. For the adults trail-riding in the group, this was very disappointing as it slowed down and decreased the amount of time expected on the trail.Throughout the trail-ride, one of the wranglers continuously scolded a parent for walking too slow, too close, too loudly, and taking off his jacket as being unsafe, distracting, and "not appropriate". There was no opportunity to take photos during the trail-ride. Yes, it is important to reinforce safety, however, the manner and frequency of the scolding was verbally abusive.The stable is a bit hidden and there is limited parking space on the property. Safety is prioritized, although to an extent in which customer experience is significantly decreased. Organization and reservations is not very intuitive. More and better communication with customers prior to activity would be helpful. I was surprised that tips were highly emphasized at the end of the trail-ride.

Booked a session using a Groupon coupon for my 15 yr old son. The lesson was a 45 minute lesson in the arena and then 45 minute trail ride. The lesson was shortened as they started late. I was told I could walk along side them on the trail if I wanted to. Unfortunately I did not wear my hiking boots or I would definitely have walked the trail since it was muddy. The trainer said it was a good exercise with some hills. At least I know for next time.

I appreciate the good care Bonnie, Marta and other staff of my OTTB gelding I board here. He hasn't missed a meal and really seems to be thriving at Morris shadow mountain stable.

This was my teenage daughter's first horseback riding lessons and Bonnie was wonderful and made my daughter feel comfortable. We will definitely be returning soon.

My husband and I had a great time on our 90min ride, we just wished it was longer ?The guides were really friendly and the horses seemed happy there. I had Little Chief for my ride and thought he was a gentleman. We’d love to come back here on a different season to get a different feel from the trail.

I had an awesome ride on Diamond. She is so sweet and gentle. Bonnie and Jennifer were excellent hosts and guides. I have always wanted to meet a Fjord up close and personal and they paired me with Diamond. I will definitely be returning.

I have been here 5 or 6 times(at least) for rides. The Ladies do a wonderful job with every part of the experience (with a keen sense of keeping everyone safe). I've been on several of their horses (mostly Road Afleet- I call him Roadie). The only slightly negative experience I had was what my sister and I refer to as "the Karen ride". If you haven't been on a horse in years but, put down a fair amount of experience on the paperwork before the ride(compared to the other riders that day), TELL THEM!!!, don't complain to the other riders about how you're scared to ride the horse you are assigned to...then spend the whole time complaining (and freaking out the horse your on). "Karen" ended up getting a bruise on her leg and whined to the point that the ride was cut in half....but we still had a great time! The Ladies were very apologetic/ sorry to cut everyone else's ride short, and handled the whole situation as professionally as possible, while also making sure everyone else was okay, and still safe.I have been back several times after that ride without incident...at least bad ones ;) (I got to see some deer on one of my last rides!!)I cannot wait to be able to go again!!! Had a very good time here with the family (middle aged kids). We did the lesson and trail ride. Great for beginners. Bonnie and Marta both quite nice and knowledgeable. Horses happy and healthy. Great experience!
