A decades long yoga dabbler of everything from Ashtanga to Bikram to “gym” yoga, when we moved to Bainbridge Island, I searched for a yoga studio and found so much more than that inthe community that is Dayaalu Center. This calm oasis tucked into the corner at Madison and Wyatt offers weekly classes, saunas, and community workshops from acupuncture to Reiki to world renowned guests such as Shantala. I bought my unlimited two-week trial pass and never looked back. From the transcendence of Yin with Gong to the joyous dance that is Nia and the core work of Pilates, along with all the expected offerings of Hatha Flow, Integral Yoga, Music, Mantra & Meditation, and Yoga Nidra. Each class was unique, and I realized it was so much more than the movements bringing me back to Dayaalu -- it is the teachers and the fellow yogis. They encourage us to express the poses as our bodies need, gentle reminders on breath and extensions. There is a class for everyone. When I’m looking to energize I come to the mat for the challenge of Myste’s flow class or Deanna‘s Pilates where core muscles I didn’t even know I had, will talk to me, or the pure joy that is Rossella’s Nia. When it’s time to nurture, I take one of Susan‘s Yin classes, Francie‘s restorative or Melissa’s Yoga Nidra. If alignment I need, I’ll join Meg or Helen’s flow or Sue’s integral yoga. I highly recommend practicing at Dayaalu and hope to see you on the mat soon.

Came to the Dayaalu Center for a wedding rehearsal. Staff here immediately helped us upon arrival and also shared the unique history of their yoga studio and event center.

We had our welcome dinner for our wedding here and it was phenomenal! We had wanted to rent out a space and we couldn’t have picked a better location that accommodated our 100 guests. Monica was wonderful to work with from the start, and made sure everything went so smoothly. It was a GORGEOUS space, and was perfect for our day. Highly recommend having any event here!!!

We recently hosted a full-day retreat at this beautiful studio and it was perfection. Fantastic organization to help with all the details and we had everything we needed for yoga and workshops. Highly recommend!

I started going to yoga classes at Dayaalu in 2019 after suffering a head injury and needing some work on my physical balance. Little did I know it would rebalance my life. The teachers at Dayaalu are knowledgeable and caring and taught me how to listen to my body and go at my pace. The class and event offerings are diverse and high quality. I learned and grew so much there that I became a yoga teacher. Thank you Dayaalu community for healing my head, body and spirit! If you are looking for a place to grow inside and out, make this your first stop.

We found the Dayaalu Spa by chance while looking for a place to have a "Meet & Greet" for our son's destination wedding on Bainbridge Island. It was Providence indeed! The place was perfect!Anyone who has ever had to plan such an event long distance knows that it can be quite a challenge. But Monica and Sue were very accommodating and great at anticipating our needs. They were very responsive to phone and emails. Monica was even responding while on vacation :) The Dayaalu was one-stop shopping. In addition to amazing ambiance, they had everything we needed for the event. They gave us some fantastic decorating ideas and talk about going the extra mile! They did a sample center piece arrangement so that we could have a visual. Then they cut and dried hydrangeas so we could have them ready. Our event was a resounding success!! Everything went as planned and everyone had a great time! But we could not have pulled it off without the help of the incredible ladies at the Dayaalu Spa. This place is more than a yoga studio...if you are looking for a venue for an intimate event...look no further. The Dayaalu Spa could be your spot.Heartfelt thanks from Ray and Annette Nalty

I can't say enough good about Dayaalu Center. The studio continues to support the community during COVID with Zoom and recorded classes. The teachers made a tremendous effort to adapt to ZOOM while still offering exemplary instruction. Dayaalu's been a source of strength for me during COVID times. And will continue to be a big part of my life.

Can't get put in from zoom. And nobody in office at 10:44. Spose to open at 10:00. This has happened several times. Whoop.

The yoga instructor was wonderful!! The class was good, and I especially liked that there weren't many props being used (just a few blocks for a heart opener). The yoga room and the bathrooms were clean. Not many parking spots available. Prices are comparable to Seattle.

Four months ago I went to urgent care for a panic attack and the doctor recommended (among other things) that I start yoga and meditating. I have struggled with anxiety for years and have tried a few yoga classes here and there and never liked it. Nevertheless I ended up at Dayaalu Center the next day. I choose Dayaalu because of its convenient location in Winslow. I came for symptom relief and found that and so much more.

Dayaalu really gets the yogic way--The teachers and presenters weave ancient sacred teachings with our modern challenges. I've learned about so much--body mechanics, shamanism, gong/sound healing, meditation, much more. It's a beautiful large studio for yoga. Dayaalu Center has supported my growth over the past 3 years. There are so many good things to say about the Center. They often have music events and special speakers.
