Opened a smart checking account here for in person service and paper checks to pair with an online banking account.Love the zero fees checking.Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, I would recommend, especially when compared to the fees of banks like Chase or Wells Fargo

Ran into the Bainbridge Key bank today, I was purchasing something from someone and wanted to cash in my 20.00 bills for hundreds. There was no one at the counter but I waited for at least five minutes, then she asked me if I was making a deposit and I said I just wanted to exchange some bills. She then hesitated and asked if I had an account there, I said no as I don't live on Bainbridge and she said we can't do that then. She was very rude and just stared at me. I would think if Key bank would like to get new customers this would be a great time to be nice, and tell me about the wonderful services they provide. I did notice as I was leaving there was a Kitsap bank next door and they did it for me, no questions asked. And they even have a golden retriever there.

we have been a key bank customer for 6+ years and have 7 accounts including some savings started by our kids to save their earnings and gift $. Our older son went to college and at his 18th birthday they started deducting fees from the account as he was now an adult and no longer fit their criteria for the saving account that was originally set up. This change was not communicated to us and they have pulled over $150 in fees out of the $298 he originally had in the account ( $2 below the minimum of $300). They would not allow him to change the account as he was seen as a minor on the account despite that they could now fleece him for $4-5/month as he is an adult. The manager was rude and condescending to all of us. Take your money and business to a local bank who still remembers that customers matter and treating people fair should be a KEY part of their business model.
