With lifetimes of loving music and playing guitar, Alan and Debby opened Village Music on Bainbridge Island in 2003. They stocked the store with guitars, violins, cellos, books, and accessories as well as shakers, cabasas and congas. Besides performing regularly and teaching guitar, Alan set up his workbench at the store to repair instruments and build custom guitars. Over 14 years the store expanded and consolidated. In 2017 the storefront was closed and moved into our house where we still offer guitars, ukuleles, cases, books, and accessories. For 20 years we have been serving the musical needs of our community. Alan continues to perform, teach, and repair instruments, while building custom guitars, bandolins , and cavaquinhos.
