My daughter, granddaughter and I went to Urgent Care on Dec. 29 on Bainbridge Island because we were all sick. We got there at 12 pm. They told us we had to come back at 230 pm. Came back. Waited in waiting room. My granddaughter who is 6 yrs old has febrile seizures. She had a fever. Daughter went up to see if they could give her something they said no have to see doctor Daughter went to store and got her Tylenol. We were already waiting for 4 hrs to be seen. Was not seen until granddaughter had a seizure which she fell of my daughters lap and landed face down. Immediately she had a big black and blue bump on her forehead. Dr and nurses came running out and brought her back. She wasn’t coming out of her seizure. They called paramedics and they came checked her out and said they were flying her to Children’s Hospital. I’m writing this because in MyChart it says I didn’t show up for my appointment. I couldn’t reply to the message. My family and I (especially my daughter and granddaughter) will never go to Bainbridge Urgent care again. Very bad review because my granddaughter should never had to go through that and telling me I never came for my appointment which I was there almost 5 hrs waiting to be seen.

Broken hand - in & out in less than an hour! Fantastic staff. The human at the front desk was not chatty or chipper but this person was very smart and got me squared away pronto. These folks even called me 5 days later to check up on me and see if I got an Ortho appointment okay. Totally recommend ???

Absolutely refused to sign vaccine paperwork, resulting in my kids missing their first week of school.

Terrible, horrible establishment. Re-writing this review because it got deleted. This is the only 1-star review I’ve ever written.

My mom went for a Covid test along with my little brother. Mom is immunocompromised and little brother has a heart problem and asthma. Test came back positive for mom, still waiting on a result for little brother. Nothing was done for my immunocompromised Mom. Why? BECAUSE THEYRE CLOSED. On St Patrick's day. Coincidence? Not sure. But either way. How can an URGENT CARE clinic on a very limited accessible island regarding emergency medical services be closed PERIOD? What's the point of calling yourself an urgent care clinic then if you're selective on patients and are closed randomly? Not to mention that they're closed while WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR MY LITTLE BROTHERS TEST RESULT. Completely unacceptable. Now we are having to find another clinic to get my Mom on medications or something since she's immunocompromised. And have my little brother tested. This place needs to be shut down and a new ACTUAL urgent care clinic needs to be opened that actually stays open for emergencies and doesn't make patients wait over 48 hours for test results. This isn't to say the physician wasn't good. The physician was helpful. But it needs to be mentioned that we should have gotten a call to be told test results if they knew they were going to be closed. That's just not good bed side manners and not being proactive at all.

My husband called this morning to see if they could assess my 12-year-old son for dehydration. Once my husband showed up with my son, not only were they extremely rude and dismissive, but they also wouldn't see my son and told my husband to go see our primary care physician who happens to be in Seattle. What is the point of this urgent care??? Isn't the purpose to help people who can't make a regular appointment when in need? Extremely rude and disrespectful staff who shouldn't be in business. It's shameful to have en establishment like this on the island.

Had a Router kick out and run down my finger. They took me back to make sure they didn’t need to send me to the hospital. I was told by a nurse “that’s what you get.” For not wearing gloves (rotary tools rip fingers off with gloves) but maybe that would have been better for them because they wouldn’t have had to do anything…. Not like they did anything anyway. Other nurse told me we don’t have time for this. Told me I would have to come back in 4 hours when they had time, or I could just go to Walgreens and get a tetanus and it would be like I never came in. I opted for my Dr rather than Walgreens, when they saw the way the wound was “cleaned and dressed” they were taken a back and asked who did this? Now they’re trying to bill me for something, Not really sure what, they didn’t do anything other than increase my blood pressure. Just got a text they auto enrolled me in a payment plan…. Just send me a bill for being treated like dirt. No need to keep opening up the wound.

I can’t speak for others’ experiences, but I am grateful these folks were open and available for me the other day. I cut my thumb pretty deeply and needed stitches. Dr Gates did a great job, was very friendly and had excellent bedside manner.

Worst service ever. I was in on August 15 to see the doctor regarding a work related injury that occurred that day. Was never seen so I had to return the following day. Mind you I live 60+ miles away one way. Was told I need to get a recommendation from my primary physician to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon, which I did. Went to see the orthopedic surgeon took over an hour to be seen as for some reason they said they could not find the original paperwork from urgent care in their system, subsequently they decided to see me anyway. Orthopedic surgeon said I needed to have an MRI and they needed to get approval from the insurance company. Today is September 7 and I just received a call from my physician stating that urgent care on Bainbridge Island never turned any paperwork in therefore I have not been seen as needed nor has the approval been made by the insurance company because they haven't received anything from urgent care. This is absolutely ridiculous. FYI They NEVER answer their phone!!

I have been there twice in the past 3 years. I did receive basic medical treatment both times so it was better that having to drive for an hour. The doctors & assistants were rude and did the bare minimum to help me. I feel bad for people who come there for help in a serious emergency.

The previous reviewer had a good experience at this Urgent Care. I'm so glad. Wish I'd seen that nice doctor and nurse. But for me, the front desk guy was so awful, I walked out! * I went in last night but the same guy said the wait would be 2hrs. I decided to try in the morning. Called this morning to see how busy they were and got voicemail that said "leave a message, we'll call you back." An hour later, no return call. Called twice more, got vm each time, so I just went in. Found the waiting room empty. * While front desk guy was checking me in, I explained that I'd called an hour earlier and he'd find my message on vm. For that, I was lectured: "We are URGENT care. Unlike a regular doc's office, calls are NOT necessarily returned asap." (Huh? a rather concerning explanation, I thought.) * He told me to wait in my car, could be 30minutes or more. I said, "I live only a few blocks away. Think I'll just go on home, and will come back as soon as I get the call. I can be here in (literally) two minutes. To which he barked: "No! I need you to WAIT in your car!" (Eeks. OK.) * After 25min in my car, I had to use the restroom. Went inside and I asked him where it was. He never looked up from his desktop. He simply pointed and said "thru that door." When I came back to the large, empty waiting room, I said, "It's been 30min, may I just wait in here now?" (Mind you, I have an apparent broken rib, I ache badly, I'm short of breath and very fatigued.) His response, again without looking up, was: "No!" (Period.) I waited a moment, decided I can get to an Urgent Care in Silverdale in a matter of minutes, and then blurted out: "You know what? You're a J***** (Pain can cause one to behave without thought.) This time he looked up! I told him to take me off the list, I won't be back. He'd ALREADY gone back to whatever he'd been doing and muttered either "good idea" or "goodbye." * I realize we have a staffing crisis in the country right now, but surely there are nicer and better-skilled receptionists out there, compassionate people who understand a position like this. This guy needs a new line of work. * And I'll never go back.

Lately it seems it is difficult to find good health care on Bainbridge Island. Due to a sports injury, I decided to try my luck with Franciscan Health Urgent Care on Bainbridge Island and I’m so glad I did. My visit here was a world away from experiences elsewhere. From entering to checkout, it was good to be treated with professionalism and care. Dr. Gates was excellent, easy to talk to and extremely professional and friendly. I valued her advice and caring attitude. Nurse Shayla also very caring, friendly and efficient. The entire staff at this location should be recognized and commended.

Hostile, dismissive, aggressive, loud, rude. I arrived an hour before closing for a minor injury. They rejected me and told me to go to Silverdale ER. While waiting for my ride, they threatened to call 911 if I didn't leave the waiting room immediately. I waited for my ride on the curb while suffering from shock symptoms. They made me wait outside even though their office was open for another hour. The next morning I returned for same injury. I felt like I needed to demand appropriate care. I had communication difficulties with doctor and staff. I grew up on Bainbridge. I work on Bainbridge. I live locally. I am alarmed by the service at this urgent care. I was thankful that my issue was minor. If you have a serious condition, please consider going somewhere else.
