These people nearly killed me twice. Discharged me with a hemoglobin so low I was in need of a transfusion which I got at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA. Turns I needed 5 blood transfusions. Discharged me with a Potassium level of 2.0, normal is 3.5-5.2. If you want crappy care, go here.

I’ve experienced nothing but trouble, over charged for things, long wait times. The staff is kind and, mostly great. I just can’t get into my primary care ever anymore, and I’m a recovering addict, when I NEED my doctor I need them. Doctor Tomberg is one of the best around but I guess that’s why it takes me 12 months to get any sort of appointment with him. I have to send multiple cries for help in the message portal to get anywhere at this point. I hope they figure something out. It hurts my heart to say but I want support, not to be treated as a number

New appointments being six months out makes this an almost entirely useless establishment. Phone staff are apathetic, powerless to help you, and can't even send a reminder to your phone or your email for your appointment that's five months out. You'll just get a call in five months with a forty eight hour reminder that you have an appointment for something you probably forgot about or healed wrong by then. I think it's probably not medically advisable that a medical center is so bureaucratic. No waitlist for people who cancel their appointments so you can't be 'bumped up' unless you call at pm on a weekday for a chance to be able to find out if maybe you can get a rushed appointment within a few hours.
Can't make an account online without being seen in person and showing ID which means you can't get notified or message a doctor you don't have a relationship with yet because of all the other obstacles I went over. Truly a shining beacon of the American medical system. And all the administrators always just blame 'big pharma' to shirk blame, claiming 'that's just how it is' as if every facet of the whole interaction doesn't suck. Seems to me even at the lowest level almost everyone is inept and doesn't care.

Virginia Mason is ruining health care? I'm a type I diabetic of 47 years with a very tight regimen, but VM is always trying to change it, not for medical reasons but for cost and data issues. The stress I go through every few months trying to order new supplies is too much. How can they deny a prior authorization for a medication I have been on for decade? This is the third time. Their location is convenient, but be prepared for doctor switches, hour wait times and endless hassles with your medication.

Scheduled an appointment in January for the end of March. Got a call the day before my appointment to tell me they are not taking new patients. Now my appointments with the specialist have all been cancelled because I didn't establish care. I probably dodged a bullet. Staff were rude and clearly hated working there.

Mammogram cancelled due to employee illness . Waited 3 months to schedule the mammogram. No one gave any assistance in helping to prevent waiting another 3 months for mammogram. Where was the supervisor that could come up w a plan for the cancelled patients to have a mammogram without the long wait. Where is the ethics in delivering good patient care . I’m appalled by the poor health care delivery .

I had a positive covid test so I contacted the BI Rheumatology department since I am on immuno-suppressant medication. I sent a secure message via the patient portal and in less than 5 minutes my phone was ringing. I had an appointment to talk to the Rheumatology Pharmacist that afternoon via an online video session.
It was amazing to have that support and feel like they cared about me. She recommended I take Paxlovid because it would definitely help me feel better and she asked me to give her an update on how I was feeling the following week.
Thank you Virginia Mason. I always feel my doctors have been very caring.

Very unreliable and unprofessional lab services. They are not consistent with their posted hours and close early without posting any information on their website. If you are able to receive lab services from any other provider then you are better off doing so.

Very unprofessional! The staff is uncaring and incapable of setting up appointments. I had a dye test done. The technician had to do it twice. Dr. Tzuo was over a hour late for an 8:00 a.m. appointment. At 77 years of age I need a caring doctor (MD) to listen to me to my current medical issues and recommend me to the proper specialists in the future. First and foremost I NEED AN APPOINTMENT with a caring doctor.

Have had two horrible experiences at the urgent care, both with the same nurse, Cathy. The first time I got into a terrible bike accident and she was dismissive, rude, and mocked me for trying to rinse my gritty road rash with a cleansing fluid. I was in serious pain and the lady was laughing at me. The team told me they could clean it but I did not trust them after they showed me how to apply a bandage and RIPPED IT OFF MY SKIN AFTER! I was SHOCKED. My skin was so sensitive and my histamine levels were so high from the accident that I was shaking for hours, they should not have ripped tape off my arms. I told them I was leaving and had to clean my wounds myself and developed cellulitis. Horrible. The second time was after no other urgent cares could take me same-day and I was suffering from a sinus infection. I'm a college student and I had to move out for the summer so I went to stay with family for a bit who have two small kids, both with upper respiratory infections I didn't know about. I got sick from there and then had to fly back home which took a lot out of me. I got Cathy again and when I said I think I got it from family with sick kids she told me "Well that was smart". Again, mocking me. I had already been beating myself up for having to travel and stay with sick family and bring it home and was really sick! And miserable! The mocking was it, I just started crying. I seriously wonder why cathy is in healthcare if she acts like that to everyone. Go somewhere else, don't go to this urgent care.

These women are phenomenal! (I went to the urgent care side ) I felt that I was 100% cared for the minute I walked in. The receptionist was so kind and welcoming . I finished handing over my info and was instantly taken back by a lovely nurse . She is shorter, curly hair and specs and I adored her ! She was so sweet to my 5 month old as I was getting my care. I decided to get my ear pierced and it got infected. I felt that all my concerns were in my chart and then the Dr came in she was lovely as well. She took my piercing out since I couldn't get it . Then sent the culture away for staff , she had someone come clean my ear up . Let me go with antibiotics she was keen to tell me if the swelling is there after the meds I need to Return ASAP!My time here was quick and painless , they were all so helpful and genuine I felt truly wanted there not like other clinics that you feel that your a burden . I live in port orchard and drove an hour to get here with my 5 month old and felt that my time here was spent well . Thank you to everyone from the minute I walked in toLeaving I appreciate this staff so much ! I got my results back and I have staff .

Confusing layout. Barry at the front desk makes checking in bit more stressful than necessary. Nurse and doctor pleasant and knowledgeable.

Very frustrating conversation with the supervisor Rachel. It is the 2nd time I had called to explain my situation and she was condescending and dismissive. I completely understand that finding good health care right now is a challenge and I am actually fair and patient. But as I was asking when I'd hear back, since it had been two weeks from my first call and I had to explain my entire situation again, she said she had no idea when she'd get back to me. She told me there were over 8,000 people waiting for health care (???) and that I needed to wait in line. The whole point of my call was to explain the referral I got and why the message to the doctor needed to be specific. But she didn't seem to hear that part. She just kept talking about the long line in front of me (which I totally understood). I'm sure this review won't matter because people are desperate for health care but I would hope that at least people would be treated w dignity and kindness on the phone, not talked down to and lectured.
