Alder creek has been our veterinary provider for over 25 years. There is not better care for pets anywhere! The entire staff is so caring and compassionate to animals and their humans, and I trust them completely!

They are my favorite vet in the area. I live in Vancouver but will happily travel to them to have my dogs seen. They are great there.

Staff here genuinely want the best for our animals and do what they can to provide resources and info to be helpful to my specific needs. Trent was amazing and went above and beyond to help me.

I’ve had only an amazing experience with this clinic. Tina has been our dogs vet for 4 years now and she is extremely knowledgable, efficient, and just incredible! All the receptionists and staff are welcoming and helpful, too. Thank you Alder Creek Vet Clinic! We need more vet care everywhere like you!

Just thought I would share what they told me after receiving poor and unprofessional care. They are “too busy” to do a good job and the person who helped me is “part time and didn’t know what she was doing” and that they also “don’t know how to make it up to me.”

I’ve been taking my pets to Alder Creek since I was a little girl. Now 20+ years later, I’ve moved into Vancouver and still make the long drive in because I know I’ll get the best level of care there. The doctors always try to find ways to save me money. They’ve squeezed us in countless times for emergencies.Everyone is great but special shout outs to Dr Haggerty and Dr Miller!

I love Alder Creek Vet Clinic, they are reasonably priced, always let me know if anything is up with my 4 leggeds and they get me in promptly. I live in Boring Oregon now and I will continue to drive all the way to Battle Ground WA.

Staff is rude and snarky. They don't call you for appointment reminders and then charge you for no show fees if you miss the appointment. They are condescending and I will not be taking my pets back.

Very helpful. Taken our cat here for quite a few years. In emergency situations they've taken amazing care of my dog, who sees a vet in east Vancouver. They are very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.

The absolute worst vet, I would rate it 0 stars if possible. Makes me question if the other “good” reviews were posted as vet techs. Every time I’ve walked through their doors, it has been awful. I have taken three dogs to this vet before. I have stuck around, going on 4 years, with this vet. In part because I never had time to switch and the other was simply hoping it would improve since it is near my residence.Let me share just a few of the many awful experiences.1: My mastiff was experiencing lethargy, vomiting and loss of appetite. They not only took an hour and 30 minutes to even see her AT an appointment that I paid extra for to be seen last minute. They then refused to x-ray her because she wouldn’t lay still on the table. She was scared. I asked to be able to be in there and calm her and they refused, saying they would have to put her under anesthesia. Needless to say, it was not necessary and they were not willing to work with me on other methods.2: This has now happened with both of my dogs. I have an Australian shepherd and mastiff (both incredibly sweet) but have been muzzled almost every time??!! For “safety precautions due to their breed”. This not only created even more stress for my dogs, but everytime I took them for vaccines, they didn’t even want to walk threw the vet doors. I feel awful that I didn’t make time sooner to switch vets.3: They never take the time to greet your dogs during the visit. They jump straight into it. Most vets, kneel down and offer treats to calm the pet before any exam/appt. Don’t expect this here.4: My Australian Shepherd was experiencing an issue with possible head trauma/allergic reaction. One of his pupils were incredibly big and the other was incredibly small. He was experiencing heavy lethargy later that day. Again, we paid extra to be seen ASAP. Wait time was over 2 HOURS. They refused to take any X-rays and simply guessed on it being an allergic reaction. I paid for the antibiotics, gave him the full dosages, but what a surprise…it didn’t work!5: This has been said in my other reasons but the WAIT time. It’s god awful. Worse than a doctors appointment for people. Expect your wait time to be 1-2 hours long, while you sit on a hard wooden bench with your anxious dog surrounded by 5-6 other ones. If the wait time is so bad, I don’t understand why they book so many appointments for one day. May be hire more employees before booking so many dogs for the same day?FOR EXAMPLE: We came in for ONE vaccine. We waited (again) an hour and 45 minutes! They told us 35 minutes prior to us leaving that they would “been in any minute” meanwhile we watched 3 dogs through our waiting room door window get seen and out. Dogs that weren’t even here when we showed up. We had one simple vaccine. When they finally came in, they said that it took so long because they had “4 vaccines to give” but we told them numerous times that we only wanted his Rabies renewal. So we then asked “do you have them all prepped to give or do we have to wait longer” and she said “not yet, but let me grab you a muzzle first”. AGAIN, with the muzzle while my dog is simply sitting down.6: THEY HAVE GREAT BIASES TOWARD CERTAIN DOG BREEDS.
