A fun cafe with excellent crepes and coffee. The kids thought the cocoa was just right and they wish we could go relax there every time we go to the library. The Lady behind the counter was pleasant and quick.Kid-friendliness: Coca and candy available. Pleasant seating area.

Very rude and racist woman up front, probably even the owner?I am a Hispanic-woman. I own a smoothie shop and this is not the way you treat people. Here is my experience:This was my first time here, I wanted to have a relaxing morning, drink coffee and eat a crepe. I entered the shop and the moment this lady upfront saw me she looked at me so disgusted. I was like ok, maybe that’s how she naturally look at everyone. I asked for a cappuccino, she asked if I wanted it sweet or unsweetened. I said sweet, then she asked what sweetener I wanted, then I looked all confused at the menu trying to find my options and she got all rude for no reason! She threw a menu at the counter and said “well you need to have a flavor if you want it sweet” all in a very rude manner. At this point I wanted to leave but I told to my self that this lady with a sad life was not going to ruin my morning.I wanted to order a crepe too but as soon as I chose the coffee flavor she said the total and preceded me to check out. I was like, ok, that’s it then.I sat down and another customer came in (He was an American man) She was totally ridiculous different at the moment she started to take this gentleman’s order. She even smiled and treated him so nicely. I thought to myself well… he is probably someone she knows, and surprise!! he also said it was his first time here. Then this other couple entered the place and same history, she was the nicest person to them. She even went to their table to chat with them. But I, I would get this looks from her like she wanted me to leave. The way I got treated was so unfair. What was it? What did I ever do to you? Was it because I am Hispanic? Was this a racial matter or are you selective with your costumers?I am never going to come back to this place in my life nor ever recommend it to my relatives, no one wants to get treated this way.

Decided to spontaneously try out this coffee shop after a stop at the library. Met with a new friend there and got the kids a hot cocoa and I got a decaf mocha with dark chocolate and coconut milk. It was very tasty! The pastries all looked tempting and it's good to know they have savory crepes and some food options as well. The Cafe is a nice environment and Olga was very patient with our kids. I'm surprised from some of the reviews here because she was a lovely lady with a nice establishment (cozy, clean, and inviting). Plenty of parking and in a nice area. Prices seemed reasonable and you can even buy some mugs, teapots, and decor.

First time returning to Blue Castle in years. I ordered an Americano and a bagel with cream cheese, “for here.” My coffee came out in a paper cup and I preferred a real one, so I asked, very politely, for a ceramic cup. The lady rudely said, “You’re telling me this now?” and wasn’t willing to provide a real cup, even though there were several on top of the espresso machine. I told her to forget it and that I wouldn’t be returning. She shrugged and walked away. I won’t be spending my time or money here. The coffee isn’t even good; it’s bitter and has a strange aftertaste. Too bad, because this is a great location and the former owner when I used to come more often was very friendly. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and I won’t be back unless ownership changes.

Unfortunately, I can't give much of a review because when we got there during posted open business hours, the doors were locked and there was no sign stating that they were closed. We won't bother going back after reading the latest reviews about the rude baristas and another person who found them closed.

Went in with my two kids (ages 3 and 16 months) because they wanted hot chocolate and a snack. When we walked in the barista looked visibly upset and while my kids were picking out chips for their snack the barista told me that the chips were to go because of the mess kids make, I told her I was planning on eating them there with my kids and asked if it was a kid friendly establishment, she responded with “it’s kid friendly but you need to pick up after your kids because I don’t have time to pick up after them” I responded with “well yes, I’m a mom and I know to pick up after my children and I know what they can handle as far as messes go. I pick up after my children wherever I go.” Her response was rude, snappy and had a lot of attitude as she said “if you can handle it, you can stay” all while glaring at me and my children. If it’s not kid friendly, that’s one thing but saying it’s kid friendly and then treated customers with disrespect for bringing their children in makes a mom feel uncomfortable. Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have kids. We bought our chips and immediately left.

Drove all the way out to east Battle Ground to come here on a Saturday. Found them closed LONG before they should have been. Pretty lame when a small business can't even stay open for their truncated hours on a weekend. No note on the door or anything. Won't waste my time again.

I had an awful experience here just because of the barista who helped us. We walked in and waited almost a minute for her to come out to the counter. It was our first time there so I asked what she recommends and she didn’t suggest anything just snapped at us saying that it was our choice and up to what we liked. She was quiet and rude the whole time she made it. To top it off the mocha we got didn’t taste like coffee and all and more like a weird burnt chocolate flavored ice cream.

Very negative experience! Treated very rudely when we first walked in and asked a couple of questions. Should have turned around and walked out but decided to give it a go. Bad decision-won’t be back!

Lady was very rude behind the counter when we asked a simple question of what was the most popular drink and received tremendous attitude from her. Coffee was super bitter, probably the worst I’ve ever had with an even worse aftertaste. I don’t know how this place has such high reviews. Save you time and money and go elsewhere.

It’s beautiful inside, but the service was oddly cold and the pastry was stale. Coffee was very good though!

Came in to ask a simple question about the crepe, and got a really bad attitude… we left right away…. Why can’t you be nice about a simple question?

I went here for the first time. When I didn't order right away, I got a weird vibe from the barista, like she was ready to kick me out if I didn't order. Otherwise, the service was good, and I received my order within about 5 minutes of placing it.I ordered a ham and egg sandwich/croissant, which was good, but it was not house-made. It was sizzling hot on the outside and cold on the inside. The coffee I ordered was very good. I'd come back for that.?The atmosphere was peaceful but a little chilly. I wore my coat the whole time. It's a nice place to visit or study, but if you want to visit about anything you don't want the whole world hearing, you have to basically talk under your breath or else everyone can hear you. It's quite echoey. Overall, I'd rate the experience 3-4 stars.
