Our experiences with the veterinarians and staff at VCA were always very positive. They were always there when we needed them. Our little guy, Guapo, was 16 years old and sick. They helped us keep him a little longer. Unfortunately, we had to put him to sleep yesterday. Again the Dr. And staff were so kind and compassionate during one of the hardest times of our lives. I wanted to make sure that I let anyone who is looking for a kind, compassionate and professional veterinarian know that Vca is the one.

My family found an abandoned kitten and took it in to get tests done to make sure it was okay. The kitten was diagnosed with ringworm. We paid for the test multiple times to confirm that she still had ringworm ($200 each time) and bought medicine for her to hopefully get rid of it. In between this time my family was given the kitten to now take care of. (A state away)She didn’t appear to be exhibiting signs of suffering from the skin condition so after her last dose a few weeks ago we didn’t refill. My toddler now has ringworm from the kitten.I called local vets in Oregon to set up an appointment to get her medicine. The soonest appointment we could get was over 2 weeks away. I am worried my other child and pet will get ringworm so I contacted VCA Battleground to get her another dose of medicine so she can heal quicker (still keeping the appointment in Oregon so we can get any additional vaccines) at first they seemed willing and got her updated weight over the phone. Dr. Krage decided to not refill the prescription despite knowing she still actively had ringworm and is around small children.I am so disappointed in this clinic who claims to care about animals to deny refilling a prescription because they said she’d need to be seen AGAIN. (Another $200 test I’m sure!) We cannot take her up to Washington to get her seen so their best idea is to force her to wait over two weeks for an appointment in Oregon while she is actively around my kids and other pet.Shame on this vet. The receptionists were very helpful and kind. But I recommend avoiding Dr. Krage because there is a clear lack of care for animals well being when she makes the decisions.I want to also call out (because the receptionist mentioned that their call wasn’t returned earlier this month after shadow was given to us) that my grandma and great aunt are suffering from Alzheimer’s and in between hospital visits and getting placed into homes - my family wasn’t able to follow up sooner. Life happens and we were busy taking care of family who needed help. The kitten seemed to be better but clearly isn’t and is now infecting my toddler. You’re better off going to a different vet or specifically asking for someone who isn’t Dr. Krage. To be especially clear: VCA knows this kitten still has ringworm. WE know she has ringworm. When we wait 2 weeks to take her to this new vet they are likely going to charge us another $200 to diagnose what we and this clinic already know. Merry Christmas to us and our sick kitten!

We are so grateful for VCA Battle Ground! They were able to squeeze us in today to evaluate our sick pup when our in-town vet couldn't. They treated him with such kindness and gave us a plan to help him back on the mend. Thank you VCA BG for your amazing customer service and help today! ♥

SO over priced, not worth it. I’ve been going to them for years, my parents went to them too when I was a kid. Their prices just keep climbing and climbing. I was shocked to find out that an X-ray at another clinic was only $125.00 when BG VCA charged us $2,000 for the same X-ray! So Avoid!! They don’t take pet insurance and If you are looking for a reasonably, affordable clinic, this is not it! Personally, we are done with being over charged! Today I was charged $150.00 for 28 antibiotic tablets. I’m done.

I would like to put a shout out to Dr. Lindstrom. Also the whole team.Very professional and Dr. Lindstrom also called me at home to see how my dog has been doing and all my years of being a pet owner she's the first one that's ever done that very very impressed. Thank you VCA of Battle Ground.

I want to express my gratitude toward all who helped us make a difficult decision about our precious Nika. We were treated with such care. You could tell the love they have for the fur babies and their parents. From the person who took my call, staff of vet assistance to Dr Williams we felt the love and care for what they do. I would recommend them and will come back for services if we should adopt another pet.Thank you so much.

Nothing but good things to say about VCA Battle Ground! Everyone from the front desk to the vet techs and veterinarians was kind, personable, and professional. They helped our reactive dog to be comfortable and feel secure. The treats & cheese whiz helped ha ha!

Terrible staff worried about doing renovations inside their office and taking your money, hands down do not care about your pet at all unless you have money. They forget something in an exam they tell you to come back and charge you again absolutely terrible. I would not recommend this clinic.

I cannot say enough good things about our local VCA animal hospital. We have gone through some rough times in the last 6 months. One of our indoor/outdoor cats went missing. We then, a while afterwards, got a new kitten. Unfortunately our new little guy's health declined and he only made it about a month before having to be put down (he was suffering a lot from what we suspect were genetic/poor breeding issues). The staff at the VCA were unbelievably kind, compassionate, accommodating and understanding of our situation. This was one of the more extreme situational examples but we have had lots of other experiences with them that didn't involve something so sad. Every interaction we've had has been positive. It's very common for their staff to be excited to see our pets when they are brought in. They often gush over them, when they need to take them into the back (for various reasons) it sounds like the staff all give the animals love and attention even if it's a routine task. You can tell that they genuinely care about the animals and owners. This probably seems like I'm laying it on really thick but they deserve and have earned this level of praise. They have a life-long customer/patient with my family. Like I mentioned before, they helped us through some really tough times. Thank you VCA for all you have done for my pets and family. I know they are always in good hands when you all are needed. Thank you so much!

After moving to Washington we didn't have a vet for our animals. our Texas Heeler got an ear infection and was in a lot of pain. I called VCA Battle Ground Hospital and they got him in that day. He had to be put under due to the level the infection had grown. They were so amazing and compassionate.
After the loving care with our dog I brought my new cat in. Turned out she has a heart murmur and needed special care for her spay surgery. They were amazing once again. I truly appreciate the love they give to the animals. ❤️

These people will take your money (far too much of it) and not actually help your pet. Then they will attempt to get you to join their little club and pay them over $100 a month for basically nothing.Con artists. They should be arrested and put in prison for their crimes.

We lost our family dog last Monday, Samual. He had a massive infection and was 18 years. We had this dog for almost 20 year in our family and it goes without saying it was difficult. VCA gave us the privacy and empathy we needed. A week later we received the sweetest card from the whole practice. We will never forget the kindness you have gave our family. We love you Sam and you will always be in our hearts.

Our dog gets ear infections. The first time we went here it was great. They put medicine in his ear and we left. It cost $300.The second time we went it was awful. The vet tech wouldn't listen to us. She kept trying to swab the dog ear but she was really bad at it and hurt him I don't think she ever got a proper swab to take the test. When the vet came in after making us wait a ridiculous amount of time, she said the dog didn't have an ear infection. I found this odd because his ear is extremely red and full of brown gunk. She said bring him back in a week or so. I'm not sure why you'd need to see him again. You didn't help him in the slightest and you charged us $160 for nothing. It's Sunday. His ear is red and irritated there's brown gunk coming out of it, he keeps shaking his head. He's as miserable as I've seen him because he has an ear infection. He's had one since they saw him. I don't know why you guys couldn't have treated him when we came in.
