Dropped off paper prescription and told them that I would be in the store to pick up. I didnt need to shop but rx was urgent so I was willing to wait. They quoted 30 minutes and I waited, often passing by the pickup counter to see if it was ready earlier.
Apparently they had difficulty finding who the prescriber was and instead of calling me back to ask me my doctors name (either overhead in store or my phone# they had on file), they waited until I came up 40 min later asking what the delay was. No rx filled and 40 min wasted for what could have been an easy solution.

I have had a good experience with transferring all my prescriptions to this Safeway Pharmacy from QFC. The cashier has become a chit chat friend, usually about my Yorkie. I think that most customers don't realize that having a grocery store pharmacy is so nice in many ways but to be profitable to the store as a whole, sacrifices ( limited labor ) are made. Think of how high prices would be to pay for enough staff to service customers right away. There are pharmacies that do that if you need white glove treatment. So suck it up like the rest of us. The employees at this Safeway Pharmacy deserve respect most of the time (HEE,HEE!!)

Extremely poor customer service. Very bad attitude and needs to be written up for poor performance. The staff are not Safeway employees and are not adding value to the Safeway shopping experience. I will do my future business at QFC

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. They told me it'd be a half hour wait. So I sat in the waiting room for over an hour. To then find out that not only had they forgotten me and were not getting my prescription ready, but that NONE of my prescription was even in the store!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

There is ALWAYS a problem with at least one of my prescriptions, they almost never answer the phone (and definitely never on the first try), and even if there are only 5 or 6 people in line, it takes at least 30 minutes to get to the front of said line. Corporate needs to give them more employees. I usually have a good experience with them personally, but there have been a few times that the person checking everyone out just walks off without a word to anyone else. I get that they are overwhelmed, but they really need to do better procedurally. I’m probably going to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere.

The staff is amazing. This is a review of the Safeway polices and needing to use the app to manage your prescriptions.
My prescriptions sit in "pending" until you call them and ask why they haven't been filled. I've had prescriptions sit for a week or more until I call. Very inconvenient. You also have to turn "on" auto refill in the app or your prescriptions don't automatically refill.

On 08/08/2024 at 9:00 AM, I was informed by the pharmacy that my prescription was ready. However, when I went to pick it up at 4:00 PM, the pharmacy technician told me that my prescription was not ready and might be ready the following day at 4:00 PM. I asked, "It might be ready?" She replied, "Yes, we are very backed up and are not exactly sure when we will get to it." I then asked, "Is the medication in stock?" She responded, "Yes, it’s in stock; we just don't have time to fill it today. It should be ready tomorrow." The technician's customer service was among the worst I've ever experienced, and I will not be a returning customer. I have transferred all of my existing medications to the QFC pharmacy in Belfair.

I know it's not their fault. They are overwhelmed, always a long line, but the staff is always friendly and helpful.
