The first time I reserved a truck everything went well--truck was in good shape, and they easily handled my keeping it an extra day with just a phone call. However, the second time, just this past week, was awful. I had reserved a truck days prior and received usual confirmations, etc. I arrived at their opening time to find the office dark and locked. A piece of paper taped to the inside of the door stating that they were closed just that day (Wednesday) and ending "Thank You". I received no email, no call, no text, nothing to tell me this until I showed up. There's some kind of apartment above the office so I rang the bell. I saw someone briefly part the blinds to look out, but no one came to the door. I searched my phone for a contact and eventually (after 15 minutes) got hold of some corporate office. They were also unaware that this location was closed that day, but after some effort they found a same-size truck at another location more than 20 minutes away. Thankfully, they were open when I arrived and I got the truck I needed, but at the cost of more miles driven (and paid for later) and the loss of more than an hour of my time, which badly screwed up my logistics for the day. As friendly and cheerful as the folks at this location are, I won't rent there again because I cannot trust that they will hold up their end of the agreement. A shame, when basic customer service would have avoided this debacle.
