*UPDATE* Got a generic response from Safeway... Not sure if they even READ MY REVIEW. This just makes me more upset. No wonder they have problems with this store. Probably just a write off for them so what's the actual point... SMH.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I'm absolutely dumbfounded. I bought over $300 in groceries here and for some odd reason my club card did not go through when I entered it. I didn't realize untill that evening. The next day I go in and 3 different people- a older man, a young adult male and young adult female all tried to help me but with no luck. Said my receipt is not in their system. How can that be? I was in their store. I got food. They took my money for that food. Now they can't find my order in their computer. STRANGE. So I wait. Go back in two more times at different times hoping to get someone who is competent in their job. No luck. The 3rd time I went in, I did my own research and found the answer to the problem on the internet. Showed the gentleman at customer service what I had found. He didn't follow the directions, got frustrated and said he didn't know what to do or how to fix it or what to say.
So I guess I'm out the club card savings of $41.07 and I will never be back even though this is the closest Safeway to my new residence. I will make sure to tell everyone that I know NOT TO SHOP HERE.
This is ridiculous.

Very, very dirty and very smelly toilet. Opposite the toilet, a woman was cutting lettuce leaves. The conditions in which she did this were unsanitary. I would never buy prepared food from this store because it can be dangerous for my health.

Fix the freezers already. For quite a while now all of the ice cream is always covered in frost. No other grocery store is like this, I don’t understand why it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Unorganized and poor customer service. I was standing at self-checkout for too long, waiting to be helped, but some older lady with black hair was just wandering around seemingly unbothered.

Pretty decent store overall. I gave it 2 stars because Lee ( older Asian auntie) thought we were related because she started loudly yelling at me to come to her register to pay for the Orca (bus, transport)card in my hand. Talk about rude and unprofessional - she must know someone in corporate to be able to get away with yelling at customers.
I paid for my Orca card at the self checkout where the clerk was more personable & pleasant. I paid in cash Lee, not with credit card you were screaming about.

Disgusting deli due to the lack of care or hygiene by the staff. The two older women who work during the day during the week are rude and short, which I have overlooked, but they do not wear gloves and I have seen one sneeze all over, blow her nose, and then touch food and serve me food without gloves. It was horrible. Today was the same trend and this time the other lady had batter all up her hands and arms, no gloves, and was serving me food while the salad was dropping all over her hands and back into the salad case salad from the utensil. It was disgusting. No care whatsoever. I could not find the manager from the deli who was not here so I informed another staff member. The worst standards I've seen, maybe ever, blatantly in front of customers. I don't normally write reviews and let things go when staff makes a mistake with my order, but this is egregious and completely unacceptable.

Got a latte at the Starbucks inside the store. I asked for no foam and no room, which they wrote on the cup. Unfortunately, they didn't read it or didn't care. Either way, it wasn't the first time it happened. If an employee cannot follow the simplest instruction (and I mean simplest), then maybe it's time to fire them.

Deli food at 5pm is always old and questionable if it is still good. Employee's don't seem like they are motivated to work. My least favorite safeway.
