Really bad experience here. Cancelled two times because there was no car available even though I already paid to secure the car. Recommend switching to enterprise, staff there are very friendly and they always have a car for you.

Caution: check your gas tank when picking up vehicles. Small location with only 1-2 counter people, so can get backed up if they have a crowd arrive. Very convenient if you avoid busy times. However, every time I rent a vehicle here I have to carefully check the fuel tank as they have repeatedly given me vehicles with only 7/8 of a tank of gas. Since you are required to return a full tank, this amounts to a $10-$20 fraudulent extra cost per rental. I have avoided being charged by taking a photo of the tank and odometer at the time of rental, which they have accepted readily. Still a pain to try to refill a tank to the same exact level - I highly suspect they count on customers overfilling the tank (or charging $10 / gallon) in order to extract additional profit from their rental.

This is a good rental place. Their timings are hard to work with but as long as you can make that work, everything else was smooth.Make sure you take plenty of pictures as always!

The absolute worst service ever. Spoke to a lady and reserved a car. Took a Lyft there waited 20 mins in line to be told no cars available. Unreal mad I am. Never go here.

Warning: Deceptive Practices and Extremely Condescending Staff at Avis BellevueNote: other reviews mentioned the same issues around deceptive practices and never picking up the phone. Would suggest reading other reviews after reading mine to get an overall sense that my review is not a one off incident but rather systematic at this location.I am absolutely appalled by my experience with Avis in Bellevue. They have deceptive practices and extremely condescending staff. The rental began with a delayed car pickup, taking nearly an hour longer than scheduled, and culminated in an unfair double-day charge.Despite assurances from one employee that returning the car after hours would be fine, given that I was given the car late and they would be closed at that time the next day, the owner later scornfully dismissed this, stating that dropping off the car doesn't guarantee a one-day charge. When I pointed out that his employee had implied otherwise, his response was incredibly condescending, completely disregarding the miscommunication on their part.The owner's attitude and refusal to acknowledge their error was infuriating. He begrudgingly offered to split the 2nd day charge, but his manner was so disrespectful that I declined.Should have listened to other reviews about their bad experiences. There is a reason for their low ratings. Would suggest others to think twice before dealing with Avis Bellevue.

Avoid this place at all costs. A few weeks ago, I reserved an SUV online for a ski trip. We weren't picky - we just needed an AWD. When we arrived at the Avis Bellevue location, the agent gruffly told us they had none available. When my friend asked the agent what the point of reserving a car online was then (this was not our first time being disappointed by Avis), he very condescendingly told us: "I don't need to answer that question."The agent then told us we had two options: wait until someone returns one, or go home. Since we were going through the mountains, the AWD was a necessity, so we decided to wait.A bunch of customers came in to return their cars over the next ten minutes, several of them SUVs. Meanwhile, my friend made a reservation over the phone at the nearby Enterprise location.As were getting up to leave, we thought we'd give Avis a final shot, and my friend asked the agent if any AWDs had arrived. Gesturing out the window with a mocking expression on his face, he said: "Does it *look* like there are any out there?"Probably the single rudest statement someone in customer service has ever made to our face. I asked him what his problem was in my choicest French, and we left pronto.Enterprise gave us no trouble at all.

Thank you for helping us renew the car rental. The Avis representative clearly communicated the different renewal options and handled the necessary processing. We have visited the location for multiple renewals and the representatives are always helpful. Thanks again for the excellent service.

Not friendly stuff. They seemed to be mad at me for some reason from the start. I was smiling, being friendly, but anyway they acted like they are not happy to see me and I am doing something wrong. I had much better experience with Enterprise. I will go back to Enterprise them for future rentals I think.

Nobody at this location ever picks up the phone -- ever. I literally called 50+ times on the day of pickup to try and confirm availability of specific cars and nobody ever picked up. I mentioned it to the agent and he said the phone never rang. I showed him my call log and both of the employees just shrugged it off saying it sometimes doesn't ring. If you look at the other google reviews for this location it's clearly an issue experienced regularly by dozens of people as many called this issue out specifically. Either the employees have turned off the phone/ringer so it forwards directly to the national call center (which can't really help with location-specific questions/issues) or there's some technical issue that nobody cares to resolve. I even mentioned the issue again at the time of return and the employee didn't really seem to care - I even tried calling the location while standing inside the office to prove my point and of course the phone never rang (despite there being no other customers in the office) and they still denied there was any issue -- "the call is being forward to the national service center as it's supposed to". What is the point of having a local office with a phone number if nobody is ever available to assist?Office experience aside, the overall rental experience wasn't great either. I was not given any sort of upgrade despite my president's club status (whereas other locations almost always give an SUV or a van upon request) and despite there being so many vans and SUVs on the lot, and the car I was given was in beat up condition with lots of scuffs and scratches as well as large white stains on the trunk liner/trunk carpet. I really regretted switching over my rental from Enterprise to Avis while my car was in the shop since I was expecting a better vehicle and experience given my status, but will certainly not be using this location again.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I am a Avis President’s club member and has been renting from Avis for years, today I experienced the worst experience ever. I picked up a 2023 Ford today and it’s supposed to be very new, while driving around 10pm the car completely broke down by itself with serval warning lights and check engine lights coming on, gas is non-responsive. As I parked the car in a safe space, I called the roadside assistance and they said I NEED GO TO A LOCATION 45 MINUTES AWAY FOR A REPLACEMENT CAR. While only providing one Uber ride back home. The temperature tonight is 15 degree F and me and my friends are frozen in the car that is COMPLETELY DEAD and has no heat. The whole experience is a nightmare and is deterring me from renting Avis EVER AGAIN.

The people at desk never answer the call. And also there is no minimum respect for the customer who's speaking with the desk member in person. No proper assistance with the availability of vehicles. Never responds. They took my licence and did not return it while leaving. Worst customer service experienced.
