IF YOU CARE ABOUT HOW YOUR PET IS TREATED, DO NOT COME HERE.
I'd like to open by saying, the support staff at this clinic is nothing short of professional (only reason this review has 2 stars and not 1) and very friendly. Dante at reception was a pleasure to work with in terms of scheduling, and the nurses- I forgot their names- were very kind and helpful.
The vet on the other hand (Dr. Reddy) is another story altogether. He was extremely judgmental, rude, and very rough with my cat. I've never met a physician who was so seemingly unconcerned with their patient and more focused on upselling on random services. I was originally there for neutering, but was told my cat would need a dental extraction for his extra teeth, to which I agreed because I was told he was in pain and the 'extra' teeth were a problem. Turns out those baby teeth fell out on their own leading up to the surgery anyway (I was still charged for it!). I do not believe in sparing any expenses when it comes to the well-being of my cats, but I do not hold any regard for a physician that sees my care for my pet as an opportunity for his own gain, rather than an opportunity to actually do a good job taking care of said pet. I highly advise anyone thinking of coming here to steer clear unless this is your last resort. The doctor does not care about your pet's well-being and will upsell you as much as he can.

Used to love this place until today. Three weeks ago we scheduled an appointment to euthanize our sick cat. They send multiple reminders but then, the morning of our appointment, they call to say that they have to close until Tuesday due to an “emergency” and suggest Blue Pearl, which we all know is expensive. Plus, when you know your pet is coming to the end, you have to work on mental prep.
This is so insensitive and disappointing. My gut says the emergency is a 4-day weekend.

The vet ruined my dogs bite by pulling 8 of her front teeth needlessly. Client be ware!

We have been visiting this clinic since 2010. However, in my recent visits, I lost my trust and decided to move to another vet. They seem to have no interest to my pets’ health but money. We were required to have several repeat tests for my dog and cat from a specific doctor who keeps offering medicine, even without the test result. Last year, he prescribed a $100 antibiotic medicine because he believed my cat has infection, so he said you don’t need to wait for the test results because 99% chance is infection and insists on taking the antibiotic. If so, why he ordered the testing? Then another day, the test results came back negative, but we had paid the $100. Couple months ago, the same doctor called me about my dog’s blood test and said my dog had typhoid problem even her TSH is in a heath range, and asked me to do an advanced blood work for another 100-200$. I gave 2 stars because other doctors we saw seem nice and for the last 14 years visit.

I had a very disappointing experience at Bellevue Value Pet Clinic on June 7, 2024. My 1-year-old dog woke up with a sudden nosebleed, and since our regular vet clinic was closed, we needed to find a different clinic urgently. Bellevue Value Pet Clinic promised the shortest wait time, so we decided to go there.
However, upon arrival, we ended up waiting for at least 45 minutes after checking in, with no indication of when a vet would be available. The staff seemed unconcerned and uninterested in helping us. We were asked to weigh our dog ourselves, which is typically handled by vet staff, and the clinic staff just watched us struggle.
After waiting for an hour without any assistance, we decided to leave. We were given a refund, but were told it would take 14 days to process, which added to our frustration in an already stressful situation. The clinic staff showed no regret or concern for our dog's health and safety.
Additionally, the clinic appeared to be undergoing renovations and smelled strongly of paint, making it an uncomfortable environment for both us and our dog. The examination rooms were empty, lacking the usual equipment and tables found in a typical vet clinic. The whole experience felt unprofessional and almost like a scam.
We will never return to Bellevue Value Pet Clinic and do not recommend it to anyone, especially in an emergency.

I called recently to get a fecal sample which is required for boarding and they said you have to be a current patient. I didn't realize that they had moved to the typical vet model. The vet model means that they will only do vaccinations and fecal samples if you come in annually for a full physical. Our dog does have a vet but that vet is a long ways away and I just needed a simple fecal sample but I can't use them because I don't want to pay for another office visit for my dog when she just had one a few months ago at a different vet. These guys use to be so convenient so it's a bummer. You just need to realize that they are now a full veterinary clinic with all of the rules that go with that. It's not a bad thing but it makes sense to only choose them if you want them to be your pet's permanent vet going forward.

I have been coming to Value Pet for more than 10 years. Now they have decided to charge an $80 exam fee for routine vaccinations. I love Dr. Borin, but sadly I am shopping for another vet. This scheme to upcharge for every procedure is appalling.

My 7 lbs. toy poodle was seen by one of the veterinarians (Dr. Reddy) for a first time routine exam. My dog is typically easy to approach and friendly yet this vet was afraid of my dog (she growled at him) and asked me to hold her the entire time. In fact, he barely performed a minimal examination and had to leave the room to grab his stethoscope yet never really used it. He didn't move her fur away when looking in her ears and was afraid to look in the back of her mouth to look at her back teeth.
When I returned home I called the office to ask for the owner's number so I could give them feedback, but I was told to leave my number and they would give it to the owner and have them call me. I never received a call back.
When it came time to pay my credit card bill I filed a dispute for the $77 charge, but even then there was no attempt by the owner to follow up with me about my dissatisfaction and the charge was not reversed.
I tried to send an email to the email address on the website but that was returned to me as undeliverable. I would appreciate a refund from my 12/21/23 visit, customer #14788 invoice #95042.

The vet care is personable, appropriate, and reasonably priced. Support staff are professional. I do find it disappointing when you attend regularly for routine care, but get told to go elsewhere when you require more urgent care ( like within a couple days) and you desire the facility you know and trust.

This place is ok for procedure or shots at a fair price but if you are looking for a reliable vet this is not it.When it comes to paperwork, proper billing, or even treating your pet with kindness, value per clinic is severely lacking. They do not have patience. Both my cat and dog were deemed aggressive and were handled forcibly when we brought them in. We had to change vets for this reason and my pets have had no behavioral issues at other vets. Additionally, when I try to get flea medication, they never have the proper paperwork or paper trail for tests that we’ve done and always decline when I request the medication. This is such a hassle because I double pay for tests and do not get the medication I need on time.In my opinion, this is a last resort option if you cannot find another vet.

Been a customer for years with multiple dogs. We have noticed service deteriorating over the last few visits and are currently evaluating other options.

Please understand, I am not complaining about the front desk or Dr Boren. I am complaining about the office procedures. The owner wants to be paid upfront. He should have some obligation. If you pay for a service, you should receive a service. There is no excuse to not follow up with a client about testing that has been sent out. This is not the first time. Once before, we were charged for a urine test that was never sent out for analysis and we never got results. My complain is more procedure related and office follow up procedures.

I strongly advise against choosing this clinic for your veterinary needs, as I had an extremely negative experience that resulted in the loss of my money. First and foremost, I had a tooth extraction surgery scheduled for a Friday. However, on the day of the procedure, I received a call from the office informing me that the dentist doesn't work on Fridays and that my surgery had to be canceled and rescheduled. To make matters worse, this news came just 30 minutes before I was supposed to bring my dog in. What's baffling is that the person who called me was the same individual who was present when I initially scheduled the surgery and made it clear several times that it was for a Friday. Yet, he claimed on the phone that he had no knowledge of the Friday appointment and blatantly lied about the situation. Given the clinic's inability to keep their schedules in order and the fact they canceled my surgery just 30 minutes prior, coupled with their dishonesty, I decided against rescheduling with them. However, when I contacted them later to inquire about my deposit, I was told I couldn't get it back because I hadn't rescheduled, even though it was the clinic itself that had canceled the appointment. I find it unfair and misleading that there was no mention in any of the documents I signed stating that the deposit wouldn't be refunded in the event of a cancellation by the clinic. Despite being promised a call from the manager to discuss the issue, I never received any contact. I made two attempts to reach out to the manager but was unsuccessful on both occasions. Not only did the clinic inconvenience me by canceling the surgery at such short notice, disrupting my carefully planned schedule (I had even taken time off work), but they also fabricated a story about accidentally scheduling for the wrong day, despite the entire clinic being aware of my intended Friday appointment, as I personally spoke with the doctor who was supposed to perform the surgery. To add insult to injury, they essentially stole my $75 deposit. If it were possible, I would give this clinic a negative rating. I strongly advise against placing your trust in their services. While I still hope to recover my deposit, I have little confidence that this will ever happen.

It’s unfortunate how doctor turnover has impacted Value Pet Clinic. The front desk staff is very kind and patient, but Dr Reddy is by far the worst veterinarian I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Thankfully I was given a refund as he was not able to help at all. I went seeking end of life care after exhausting all other options for my senior dog, and he simply referred me to options I had already actioned on (not only that, he couldn’t remember the name of where he wanted to refer me - let alone the individual - so clearly it was not based on experience or genuine care) and then refused to help. It was clear that my dog is not the first animal to not receive the care that should have been given, so I hope they reevaluate their standards. I would highly urge folks to go elsewhere in the meantime.

I initially had a very positive experience with Michael Boren who was very proactive and helpful. However I came in for a follow up appointment yesterday and the vet I saw made me very uncomfortable. He didn't seem prepared although I sent over documents beforehand. When I showed him the medical records off of my phone, he insinuated that when I gave him the phone, he could have done bad things to it. The whole vibe felt very off and the comment by the vet creeped me out. I informed the front desk but they didn't seem too concerned. Just a warning, if you're a young woman, you might be better off finding a different clinic.
