It is convenient to be able to just dump your change in get cash but the ****% is outrageous. This percentage should be clearly stated on the cash option button. I though I could deposit the coins then chose an e-gift card after. It is deceptive the way the fee is deducted as the coins are being counted. I didnt know I had $99 in coins until all my coins were deposited and my voucher was printed. Very shady!

On 9-24-22 I deposited 640.00 in a Coinstar machine using the Coinme option. Since then they have no idea where my money is. Endless calls emails calling Coinstarcand acoinmr not one person can tell me why my account is locked. Worst customer service in the world.

I personally counted 300 quarters 4 times before using the coinstar machine in the Logan Utah South Walmart and it only paid me for 269 quarters .This machine is a ripoff aside from paying a fee it doesn't pay for amount coins put in. I hope others can read this review and are aware that this is a ripoff.

Just read online about Coinstar helping the young man who's boss paid him with 91,000 oil and grease covered pennies and dumped them on his driveway. That was a stand-up thing to do! Pretty impressive in todays climate.

Lying thieves. When you buy bitcoin, first they lie about the exchange rate (it is greatly inflated in their favor of course), then they lie about only charging 4% (in reality it ends up being 10-11%), then they force you to put your purchased bitcoin in a web wallet controlled by them, where you are then forced to pay an extremely inflated transfer fee to move it out to actually use it. Typical American scumbag corporation.........

Coins + Coinstar + Coinme = not recommended I'd been saving coins ever since I heard Coinstar allowed Bitcoin purchase from some kiosks Saw a post about them expanding their offerings so went to the site seeing there was a kiosk nearby Went to the kiosk coin in hand. Put the coin in the machine, and I think I was charged maybe as much as 10% for cash. I do remember reading they wouldn't put your "coins" directly to BTC, but that it had to be cash (paper). Didn't much care, wanted to go through the process. Then, bought the Bitcoin, using the newly acquired cash. Spent some cash for BTC,, but,, exchange price was $20,883.97. A ~7% markup. On top of the markup, a service fee of 4% was also applied to the transaction. Finally, after getting my code and getting my coinme acct set up, I go to withdraw the BTC and there's a 0.00025BTC fee for sending it. Pretty amazing. All of that and you still have to be KYC-verified to do it at all. I don't recommend acquiring BTC this way.

Bait and Switch - Used a Coinstar machine today for an exchange of an e-gift card. Once the machine was ready to redeem the amount into a gift card the machine had an error and printed out a slip. I lost out on money as I had to pay a 10% fee on what I cashed in and lost out on an Amazon gift card bonus that was apart of their promotion. Stay AWAY FROM COINSTAR MACHINES
