Sister brought in 3 boxes of games, consoles, with hundreds of games from nes, snes, psx, ps2 and up. Some sealed in box. Over 20 consoles. Was offered $300 cash without even going through it. Scammer lady with green hair made the offer with no research. Avoid these guys.Edit: If anything the owner says in their reply is in fact true. None of it was mentioned by aforementioned green haired lady. Instead an attempt to massively lowball a huge collection was offered. I’ll make another edit when another castle is finished sorting and making their offer. What does how much cash is on hand have to do with collection buying?Edit #2: Ended up getting $2,000 from another castle. That makes me furious with this place now. That’s such an insulting difference. Beware here folks. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

There was a presumably sealed tekken 6 limited edition fight stick for ps3 the person said it was sealed so I asked to see so he cuts the tape off the box and proceeded to man handle everything in the box to show me the stick the game was sealed the fight stick has never been used so everything in the box was nice and neat but he seemed to be in such a rush even though I was the last person he attended to, he says the box was opened but nothing was ever used it looked sealed I was planning on paying the 150 for it but this guy ruined the whole box and the inside I dont think you need a college degree to open a box.Would not recommend this place selection on everything is trash seems like nobody sells to this place

Not for retro collectors. This place is full of Xbox and PlayStation shovelware with cheap plushies to divide things up. Super disappointed.

One of the best places to visit if you're looking for old school stuff and consoles. It's actually very fun just going around and seeing everything

Prices are significantly above market value. They will not negotiate. You might as well just buy online because you will find much more reasonable prices for games in much better condition. My least favorite online gaming store is a better option than this place. It is a shame considering how much I enjoy shopping locally.

The staff there are rude and unprofessional. They also have the nerve to charge over $100 on some DS games! I Will never shop there ever again.

Great place to find a lot of retro games and consoles. They have tournaments and the service is great! I was about to buy a game that only played on European consoles when the salesperson informed me that the game only worked on particular systems, which I didn't have. As a result, I did not lose my money.

While their selection is generally clean and well-organized, this store specifically has an extremely weak selection and low quantities of product. The store is also the most expensive in the region BY FAR, with some prices being marked 300% above market or more. I would highly rather recommend other local retail retrogaming stores over GOV, sadly.

Nice staff but OUTRAGEOUS prices on retro.First time stopping in. I'm a retro collector. They're asking $100 for a GBC, when you can buy them online for $60 easily. My last three GBC purchases were on Ebay and Facebook Marketplace. All three were cleaned, recapped capacitors, and were only $60. To charge $100 to some random customer who doesn't know market prices is criminal. Do not make big purchases here on old hardware.Nice staff, and they seem to have the correct equipment to test games on the fly before you buy. But they do not have a very big selection of retro games. There were only about a half dozen GB games for sale, about 2 dozen GBA games and there was only one retro console for sale from what I saw. The Majority of their inventory is Modern gaming.

Sold some old sealed games after being promised comparable value to what they were worth. Got $150 in store credit. Walk in a few days later and see everything marked up for close to $1000. Prices are either ridiculously high, or their employees are deceitful and take advantage of a person's lack of knowledge. They even tried to persuade me to avoid using the store credit for the one thing I wanted.

This is the second time I’ve been here and both times the staff have been very rude and condescending in their tone. The first time I came here I was looking for a cable and the person behind the desk almost laughed at me for not knowing the year of unit I was trying to get a cable for. This time I just asked if they had a game and the person told me in a demeaning tone that “no this is a used game store, go to GameStop”.I know it’s a used game store, but often times used game stores also have new games.Anyway, like they said, go to GameStop instead.

Needed some cash to cover a medical bill, so I brought in some older sealed games after being assured I would receive comparable value based on what they currently sell for. I was told I could only get store credit as they didn't have cash, which I understand. My issue was when I came back to the store, everything I sold was marked for close to $1000, when I was only given $150 in store credit. The employees are deceitful and malicious in their taking advantage of any lack of knowledge on the part of the seller. They even tried to convince me not to use the store credit on the single item they had that I wanted. A 500% markup is ridiculous, and predatory. Will never go their again. I'd rather play the eBay lottery over giving these leeches another cent.

I've been coming here consistently for almost a year now, and have always had a pleasurable experience. There's usually some decent deals to find, and I took advantage of a Buy 2 Get 1 Sale that was happening this weekend. Great selection too.

Really great store and customer service! Bought two games for the PS2 as part of a buy 1 get 1 sale, they put a free 2 week warranty on both, and when one of them refused to work, they honored it. When I went to purchase a PS1 memory card, the associate offered to dock the price of the defective game from the memory card's price, even though I paid nothing for it. will definitely be shopping here for all of my retro gaming needs from now on!
