I'm not a big gamer - but Zachary who works here made my day. His attitude and excitement for his job was amazing. I had called to ask if they had a cable in stock and I showed up 3 hrs later to grab it - and he had kept it behind the desk for me, even though I hadn't asked him to. He had SO much excitement and gaming tips for the younger kids checking out in front of me, I could tell he loves his job and the customer base. Well done Zachary, I wish more people in the sales world had your attitude and enthusiasm! đ

Went in tonight to ask about trading my Switch in but the horrible atmosphere made me immediately consider just selling it myself on offer up. Associate didn't greet anyone as they entered. Plenty of customers in store but the dude was zoned out behind the counter. Zero engagement, not even a nametag. Just a guy in his 20's in a hoodie unaware of how lucky he is to work in a game store. Have fun turning off more potential customers guys.

The manager had a very pushy vibe and didnât really care about what you want. He pushed very hard to oversell.

Cancelled my preorders stating a limit that didn't exist when I made the order. I assume they cancelled it to sell to employees like the videos I've seen.

I don't find anything wrong with the store per se especially the people working there it's the damn company and how they treat their customers and everything is just another money racket copy paste for repeat make money. GameStop isn't doing anything for the community they just are there just make money. When I was a kid I used to have fun playing games but now you know what I feel that the whole video game system that they have set up is a form of coercion and terrorism

This gamestop, like all others is great for game lovers, cloths games of all ki da and plenty of collectibles. However where this gamestop stands out is with the manager, he frequently is behind the desk and is one of the best employees I have ever interacted with at any business. Just super fun and helpful.

My son wanted to sell his XBOX 360 with a Kinect camera.
No problem. The shop employee apparently was new to the job, had to call his boss 10 times.
No, we donât buy the Kinect camera.
After 30 minutes of boss calling and re-entering and scanning all information, âwe give $37 for the deviceâ. My son accepted the bid.
Again entering our info scanning the identification, he is paying the cash: $26.37.
The employee never asked do you want cash or in-store credit?
We just accepted the in-store credit but felt misinformed.
For the in-store credit the whole transaction had to be re-entered.
Later we went to GameOver, as suggested, the sales person first asked:
* cash or in-store credit.
That wad a Way better experience.

GameStop - Crossroads Mall Bellevue: Buyer Beware - Manager Matt's Shady Sales Tactics (Multiple Locations)
Avoid this GameStop location at Crossroads Mall Bellevue, and frankly, any GameStop managed by Matt! His sales tactics are more used car salesman than friendly game guide, leaving me feeling frustrated and misled. This isn't an isolated incident - I've had Matt use these same shady tactics at other stores he manages, including the Landing Location and the Totem Lake locations. Buyer beware!
Here's why I won't be going back to any GameStop with Matt at the helm:
Price Hike Hysteria: Matt relentlessly pushes the narrative that game prices are about to skyrocket, never to be seen again. This felt like a scare tactic to pressure me into unnecessary warranties.
Physical Media Phony: Matt blatantly lied, claiming GameStop was phasing out physical games entirely. Talk about out of touch!
Paper Mario Panic Attack: Matt tried scare me into pre-ordering by saying "Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door" would be gone forever after launch. Don't fall for this fear-mongering!
Pro Rewards? More Like Pro Ignored: I had Pro Rewards credit waiting to be used, but Matt didn't even offer to apply it. Isn't that the whole point of the program?
Salty About Saying No? When I politely declined the warranty, Matt hit me with some condescending comments. Not cool, dude.
Lying About Stock & Zero Effort: To top it all off, Matt lied about having certain items in stock and couldn't be bothered to even check, and when pointed out those items were in stock on the shelf, sheepishly claimed there were inventory system issues when he never bothered to look in the first place.
This experience felt like a bait-and-switch scheme, not a video game store visit. Manager Matt's tactics are deceptive and unprofessional. Take your business elsewhere - online or to a different store. Hopefully, this review helps warn other gamers about Matt's shady practices at multiple GameStop locations!
