I opened a "free" checking account in 2023. The only stipulation was to open with $10, I put over $100 in but don't use the account so never really thought about it or thought I had to check up on it, I thought the money was safe in my "free" checking account. I opened the app today and discovered Key Bank slowly stole $40 out of my account. How did key bank steal $40 from a "free" checking account? To start off with they failed to put my apartment number on the account so the statement they mailed was sent back to them and that was a $10 charge. I was never told that I had to go paperless or that the account wasn't paperless to begin with which would have been useful information. After the initial charges because the key bank statement was sent to an incorrect address due to key bank's error in failing to put the apartment number and/or telling me to make the account paperless they then proceeded to take $10 a month for keeping my bank statements for me. Did they tell me any of this? No. They just quietly stole $40 from my "free" account. I wouldn't recommend this bank unless you enjoy having your money stolen.

I've been a customer for five years and there's always a long delay for service and I'm usually the only person in the bank. I feel like I'm always dealing with the bank teller in training. The reason for the one star is because my safe deposit box has been set on auto deduction for 5 years but this year it didn't come out and they can't figure out why. I have the same account. Now I get to spend hours in the bank for them to fix this. How can they possibly mess up an automatic payment. This is ridiculous.

We went the branch today to open an account. Negar serviced us. She works as a financial wellness consultant for KeyBank. She is very professional and nice. We finished our business smoothly. Highly recommended!

I've been frequenting this Keybank for nearly 5 years. I haven't had any serious issues and the tellers are polite and respectful. I'm always thankful to be able to go to this Keybank and they've always treated me well. Thanks
