“I was blown away by the exceptional customer service and mouth-watering steak received at Golden Steer!! From the moment I stepped into the shop, I was greeted with a warm smiles and knowledgeable staff who helped me find the perfect cut of meat. The steak was beautiful and I cooked it to perfection! It was truly the best I've had in years. If you're looking for a top-notch butcher with unbeatable customer service and amazing steak, look no further than Golden Steer. Five stars all the way!" ??”

“Great place, a holiday tradition, ANd we had. A problem with our ham. Needless to say, the customer service is fine at this store. I was able to contact them by phone, with minimal wait. They gave me their email. We sent pictures of the mostly uneaten ham, receipt, and picture of the label. They refunded our purchase and said they wished more people would call instead of leaving bad reviews so they could help. They want to help.I’m impressed! I didn’t expect this after reading other reviews. Thank you. When we visited it was early morning and Christmas Eve Eve. I will say the greetings were not all that friendly but thank you for working on the holidays, it was gonna be a very busy day. No harm. No foul. Did not impact star score for me. Try to cheer up.We’ll definitely be back. These hams are amazing and 10 years in I’ve never even thought about a refund until this year. Our ham has an undisclosed problem and the store was VERY accommodating.Just call them. They will make it right. If you’ve never been here. You owe it to yourself to taste a honey baked ham!!”

“Warm, inviting local sandwich shop - I was living in Seattle temporarily and would stop by the shop because just the smell alone was so wonderful and enticing - friendly people who do what they do incredibly well - I highly recommend!”

“Awesome sandwich! Ordered online and it was ready on time - picked up the order and walked over to the king street station and enjoyed our lunch on the Amtrak train!! Great hack for heading out of town, have the Uber drop you at the sandwich spot, it's only a couple blocks from the station! Cubano and spicy salami sandwiches were delicious.”

“If you want to find great I mean really good tacos and food this place here is it. Soooo gooood and cheesey they didn't skimp on the meat or the cheese it was perfect. The restaurant is located in a store so you can also go shopping while you wait every one that worked there was kind and that's always nice. There were some loud kids so I could see how if you wanted a quiet lunch you'd just have to eat in your car. ....and for their food I would definitely do that it was so good.”

“Good place for hard to find gourmet ingredients. Has a great olive and cheese counter, though I can't say I peruse it too much. My only quibble is that moving to their current location meant that their merchandise footprint was reduced. There's definitely a few things I used to be able to find at their former location that didn't survive the move. Ah well. Still glad to have somewhere I can get specialty French, Italian, and German ingredients. They still carry Dutch licorice too, so that's something.”

“Such a gem! The guy who helped me was very friendly and was surprised that I was looking for lengua lol! I need to come here more often. I only stopped by because they were open earlier than the other place I usually go to. Glad I found this spot. Can wait to go back and try other cuts of fresh meat.”

“I absolutely love Bob's. I've been twice and both times had amazing staff help and amazing products! I used a smoked turkey leg in my collard greens and a boneless chuck roast for a stew. Prior to that I bought a lamb of rack from them. Always fantastic meat and flavor, my Texan heart feels warmed with their delicious offerings.”

“UPDATED MARCH 2024Well, folks, this is still a wonderful place to procure your specialty meats and fresh or smoked salmon, plus all the other nifty proteins in the refrigerated case. This most recent visit we picked up some filet mignons, stupidly overcooked them a bit, but the meat was still wonderful and tender. Then we had to have some bacon. Let me warn you, if you like to leisurely cook bacon for a crowd by putting it in the oven on a rack in a sheet pan, your house will take on the irresistible aroma of a smokehouse full of bacon! Your breakfast guests will then be lucky if you save a piece for them. Really tasty, thick, salty but not too salty bacon. Still fantastic, all around!2023 Review:For everything from a weeknight burger to a wedding dinner, these folks have what you want for sublime and celebratory meals! We've tried their candied salmon, their fresh salmon, the burgers, and most recently a whomping huge tenderloin of beef for a holiday meal. Everything we've enjoyed so much! The beef tenderloin roast is hands down a new fave. The way it was trimmed and dressed allowed us to concentrate on how we wanted to cook and serve it. We never even had to sharpen our knives to trim off silverskin or gristle. It was ready done. Once cooked, that meat was so buttery tender it was amazing. Well worth the splurge!”

“The owner was super friendly and VERY welcoming. He made us feel right at home. They not only sell genuine Mexican groceries and other products, they also sell the best, authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten. I had the Chile rellenos served with a side of amazing pinto beans and rice. I also had a guava pulp juice and a mango slushy served with tamarindo candy straw (TAJÍN included)! We will be back!!”

Very helpful staff, they will give answer for any of your question. You can also try donuts, which you will definitely want to buy later! In general, their specialty is German sausages, you can buy a pack or eat a sandwich.Nice place!”

“Don't let LB prices scare you away, this shop has the goods; some of the best cured meats I've ever eaten! Their aged Waygu Braesola is truly on another level and their house Copa is simple, pure and perfect. Still have a grass fed hangar steak to cook tonight and Sage breakfast sausage for the AM (full links for about $2 a piece!), but the cured stuff has redefined my standard for charcuterie lol, don't think I can do boars head pre-packs again when I can get a QP of either of these for around $10 and get 10x the flavor and care. Will be back for sure”

“We stumbled upon this place last year on a road trip, fell in love with it! Great place for a quick drink (or beer), snack and hang. Really great options and great prices!! Very close to the stadiums, walking distance. We came back for a game and remembered how much we loved it here so we came an hour early before the game to hang out again. Wonderful selection of beer, wine, snacks etc”

“been here a couple of times, come in from the north end of the street, pretty tight to get into the door and once in, your truck is hanging half way in the street, but it is doable. in out with in an hr both times”

“Such a nice store! Neat, organized and so much variety! One of the best I have seen. I like to support small, independent businesses and this one is women owned too! Great find!”

“I loved supporting this local Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian grocery store. We enjoyed chatting with the owner for a while. Sure, it's not as sparkling clean as your usual supermarket, but isn't it better to support local? Also I cannot attest to the meat or dairy products since I am vegan. But I will be returning here often because of a recent cookbook I bought called 660 Curries, and I'm gonna need curry leaves. Ever tried finding those at QFC?”

“Glad to have found Espi's at the Pagdiriwang Phillipine Festival. Espi's is a food stand that serves up Filipino favorites, with combos - all less than nine bucks! I got the combo with chicken adobo, lumpia and pancit, and added a side of a BBQ chicken skewer. The combo itself was eight bucks and the skewer was an additional three bucks, which was a bargain! And the food was yummy, too! Although there wasn't a lot of the egg noodles, the pancit was a combination of bihon and canton styles! Usually, I always see bihon pancit served at Filipino joints, but my favorite has always been the canton since I was a kid (and still remember eating it every year on my birthday for good luck!), so really liked that they did a mix of the noodles. The chicken adobo was solid, as it was tender, but wish it just had a tad more vinegar and soy sauce flavor that you just love with adobo. Lumpia was A-O-K, as it was slightly overfried. But the BBQ chicken skewer was by far, my favorite item. It had crispy edges from the grill, yet was so juicy and tender. It's what you hope BBQ chicken will be, and enjoyed the somewhat-sweet marinade. You can even watch the cooks grilling and flipping over the several skewers right by the stand, tempting all those passing by with the aroma. Get some! There was a long line during the festival, but it went by very fast. Staff was super friendly and even though when I got to the line I was still undecided about which combo I was gonna order, they were patient with me despite the long line forming. Just remember to bring cash here, as they didn't accept cards.”
