Five stars because I want them to succeed and I know they’re trying hard. Have already shopped there, had my dogs nails clipped there, had some problems with booking online and sent that feedback on as well. Everyone is friendly and accommodating.
I’m a bit worried that the current groom quality might give new customers a negative impression.
I booked a bath and groom, I was very flexible on the groom style, just a medium clip, and short clip on the paws. (“Paws like a poodles?” “Yes please”).
Groomer offered nail buffing, ear plucking and teeth brushing and I said yes. Said they were running behind schedule, no worries mate take your time, I live 5 minutes away.
Picked him up 4 hours later:
- Paws were not short, as requested
- rear hygiene clip was the largest I’ve seen
- razor burn/heat rash on both sides of the rear
- wax and knots still in the ear
- hang nails left
- hair missed
I was a dog groomer who used to run a pet store in Australia. I have a lot of time for my fellow groomers, especially when you’re first starting out. I was impressed Pet Supplies Plus was able to find groomers in this economy and I really want to support this store. However this groom is similar to a very novice groomer and if other customers are experiencing this you’ll need to know asap.
There’s a great demand for grooming at the moment so I don’t doubt your ability to get short term business but you’re working so hard to make a great impression everywhere else it would be a shame for this to be what let’s you down! Particularly if you want to justify charging more than the competitor across the road and keep loyal clients, the grooms really need to be at least if similar quality, and not - as was unfortunately my case - noticeably worse.
Edited to three stars as apparently they don't care about feedback as long as it's five stars. I never heard from anyone about this experience and have not been back.

Neighborhood place which has great service, clean store, and anything you could possibly want for your pet. Pet. Can't say enough about the employees who work here, especially Lexus, who so generously gave me a coupon when I thought I had one and didn't. Big thank you. 10/10 would recommend.

They used to be good at grooming, now all the old groomers left. Not worth the money anymore.
Also once my dog came back, I noticed a huge cut in his ears end. He is hesitant to leave me and go to anyone. Thanks for traumatizing that poor animal and hiding it from me.

Everything was going well before the store associate Mark came into the self-wash area and started cleaning while we were still there. Both me and my dog were not comfortable with it and I asked him to wait a few minutes and continue after we finished. He said it’s his job, the store pays him to do this, and the best part: “you don’t pay me so I don’t listen to you”. Seems like the store also pays him to disturb customers, very interesting.
On the plus side it is convenient and not very crowded on a Saturday morning. Would have been a much better experience if they could hire more helpful people.

No longer the best local pet supply store. you can find a cheaper original price of same item from petco, petsmart and other online stores. Raising price giving a big promo is not a real promo though this store was the best as original price was even lower than other stores’ discount items. Plus, this store will not do price match for all stores, not even Amazon. Then plz do not call yourself doing price match.
I will not return since price is not competitive anymore though staffs are nice still.
