I visited this store on a Thursday night. The store was not busy at all, with 5 people max browsing, yet I was ignored for a solid 20 minutes while trying to buy some towels as a present. Around the 20 minute mark, I finally saw an employee walking out of their storage room. While trying to talk to her, I got immediately shushed (with a stop hand gesture included) and told that she was assisting a different customer and she will be back. I waited for another five minutes until I decided to take my money elsewhere to buy the present. During this time I saw 2 employees behind the counter holding the phone (not talking, just holding the phone to their ear) and another one halfway outside the store talking to what I suspect is a friend, all of them completely disregarding and ignoring everyone else at the store.

I visited the store recently and looked at curtains and rugs during a non-busy period. Over the span of about 30 minutes, I was routinely ignored by the 7 workers in my vicinity, only to watch them immediately assist every white customers that walked in. I've never felt the need to write a google review before, but then, this is the first time I've experienced blatant discrimination in Bellevue.
I highly recommend walking down the street to West Elm. I found some great curtains there and the workers were extremely kind.

I checked the store as some pieces attracted my attention.
They have a great choice of silverware and outdoor furniture. For sofas the prices are high, but the one I prefer was very comfortable and stylish.

My experience with the store’s “free” designer service was disappointing. While it’s promoted as a helpful, no-cost offering, I quickly realized there’s pressure to buy expensive items immediately, without much time to think it over. The designer made it clear they expected a purchase in return for their time, and also pushed opening a store credit card to “save” on purchases. I was told the suggested items couldn’t be bought online and had to be purchased in-store, which felt limiting.
Surprisingly, the store even charges a shipping fee for items picked up in-store—something I’ve rarely seen elsewhere. On a return visit, the same designer didn’t even ask whether the recommended items suited my style or space, showing little interest in follow-up or customer care which is SO rude...Make your choice and stand your ground when needed.
Overall, the experience felt more like a sales tactic than a genuine design service. Also, take a look while in store at the employees and you'll figure out the obvious HR violation in place.

I visited this store looking to purchase a bed, but was told I couldn’t sit or lie down on any of the displays. When I asked why, the staff were not only rude, but also treated me with a level of disrespect that felt clearly discriminatory. It was hard not to notice how other customers were treated more politely and allowed more freedom to browse. Whether intentional or not, the experience came across as racially biased—and completely unacceptable. I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I will not be returning and do not recommend this store to anyone who expects basic courtesy and fairness.

Me and my friends were looking for a couch and causing no trouble when we decided to sit down, when one of the female employees came to us and was very rude about us and ended with us having to leave not allowing us to purchase anything when we were trying to find something for our mom simply because we were younger. Will not be coming back and thank you so much you female employee with grey hair and glasses who has else better to do.

Don't be fooled by the one star review, even that is too much praise for Pottery Barn. It should not take over 4 months for an item to ship, especially when it is in stock at your store. Customer service has been very helpful but they can only do so much. When customer service tries to find solutions the management that they IM are zero help, it's like they want us off the phone and they don't want to actually deal with the problem at hand, which is leaving customer service reps hanging out to dry. David Miriambell (northwest regional manager)needs to know that his shipping dept is horrible and if they don't have the items in stock, they should not deceive customers like us and say that they do on their website. We ordered a bed in November which was in stock according to their website, and yes we have proof of that as well, and it still hasn't been shipped due to one part missing... Which now does not exist according to management for Pottery Barn. They essentially held our money captive knowing that that part doesn't exist when they could have simply refunded us the money to avoid months of frustration and confusion. How about instead of offering a 15% discount for our next purchase (we won't be buying from them again) you just give us 15% on top of what you already owed us for keeping our monies tied up. I consider that fair business practice. Do better next time pottery barn.

Disappointed in Quality and Customer Service
I purchased a sectional sofa from Pottery Barn nearly two years ago, investing close to $8,000, and I regret that decision every day. While I expected a high-quality product, what I received has been nothing short of disappointing.
After just two years of use, the sofa is falling apart. Upon inspecting the structure, it’s clear that many components are glued together, and now that glue is failing. The assembly work is incredibly cheap, and it shows. I’ve owned furniture from other retailers that has lasted a minimum of 7 to 10 years, and this piece, which I assumed would be a long-term investment, is crumbling before my eyes.
When I reached out to Pottery Barn for assistance, I was met with indifference. They informed me that they wouldn’t be able to help with the issues I’m facing. This complete lack of customer support is unacceptable, especially considering the amount of money spent.
In summary, I would strongly advise against purchasing furniture from Pottery Barn. The quality simply does not match the price point. This sectional has proven to be a poor investment and, quite frankly, a piece of garbage. Save your money and look elsewhere.
*Attached are photos demonstrating the issues I’ve encountered.*

I’m beyond disappointed with my $8,000 sectional from Pottery Barn. Less than three years in, the framework has completely fallen apart! This is not just normal wear and tear—this is a major structural failure for a piece of furniture that was supposed to be a decent quality.
For the price, I expected durability, but instead, I’m stuck with a sofa that’s literally collapsing. To make things worse, Pottery Barn’s customer service has been no help at all. Since it’s past their limited warranty, they refuse to take responsibility, even though this is clearly a manufacturing issue.
Do yourself a favor—don’t waste your money here. Their furniture looks nice at first, but it’s poorly made and won’t last. I’ll never buy from Pottery Barn again!

Worst shopping experience ever. I ordered a curtain from the Bellevue store two months ago, and on January 10th, I received an email stating that the order had shipped. Since then, there were no updates, and I had to call customer service twice just to request a cancellation.
On my second call, the agent informed me that the first representative had done nothing to process my cancellation, and I would still need to wait another four business days for vendor confirmation. As of now, my order is still not canceled.
This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Pottery Barn’s customer service is unacceptable, and I now have to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge.

I am a woman of color with a tiny afro and that didn't seem to be off putting to anyone. I see that the associates carry themeselves to a standard that is very professional. I have to highlight one associate in particular. Nancy. She's so sweet, accomodating, and ginuinely kind. She always has a smile on her face and ready to help. I go to her because she very consistent and knows what she's doing. I do understand that there may be hickups in when you recieve your orders but that's life guys. I'm not one of higher means but don't pick on those that appear that they are. If you are looking for bad treatment you are going to find it.

Very white, extremely exclusive!
The sales person will appreciate if you keep your admire out from the windows rather than stepping in and touching anything. Best place to remind who you are and how hard you should work to meet and join the pottery barn club!
Very inspiring and again best place to walk by and admire them!

Expensive couch shape after one week use, what a joke!! Worst couch I ever owned. Customer service promised to reach back in two business days, but never heard back.

We are happy with our purchase of our new bedding at this location! The product is quality, but we’re even more happy about our Customer Service. Cho went above and beyond to take care of us! I changed my mind multiple times and he was happy to go back-and-forth finding me different things to create the look I wanted. He was kind, knowledgeable, and took his time with us. Thank you, Cho for being outstanding at your job!
