The worse possible pharmacy, both the pharmacist take their own sweet time and are disorganised. They take upto 15 mins per customer and they cannot speed up. Very very slow service and lethargic staff. Completely useless, will change my pharmacy. I hope Safeway can hire a better competent staff, atleast jenny is better and fast. The other pharmacist is completely useless

Mrs Antonia , the florist is always going above & beyond the call of duty to be of service to us.
She prepared the most glorious looking bouquet of flowers and we were supremely pleased with it.

Very rude behaviour. I reached there at 1 and after a long wait in queue my number comes at 1:22 and they say its closing time. They want me to come back at 2. Its like I came 15 min drive they want me to go back and come again. And the time is still not 1:30😒

The corporate policies are what they are and the staff can't change that, but at least every time I've gone in the staff have been very helpful and friendly; I at least haven't had a bad experience yet. Helps a lot that they're open until 8 pm on weekdays, too.
Sometimes there's a little bit of a wait but they usually try to open a second window if the line gets long, and a lot of the wait time is because they're trying to help folks with their insurance, so I can't really blame them for that. They'll hold medications for a week and that's generally been enough time for me to get them. The corporate automated reminders system is a little wonky at times, but as long as I've gone within the week of getting the first text/call, my medication has been available.
Staff also do what they can to save you money when possible; they helped me reduce the cost of one of my medications by about $70, so big thanks to them for all the work they do (and they're probably struggling with corporate policies, too)

Why is that in Europe it takes 1 minute to pick up a medication using a script but here they somehow take 3 hours?

Waited 20 minutes to ask the pharmacist a medication question, once she freed up, an assistant said I was still waiting, she seemed to ignore the notice and kept doing whatever she was doing. Wouldn’t acknowledge I was still waiting. Left without speaking to her

As others mentioned, the waiting line is so long. There are ~50-60 mins wait to get vaccine and 30 mins to get my medications. I hope Safeway hire more and have faster computer. They are literally using 20 yr old computer.

The Safeway pharmacy notified me by text that the prescription I had was ready to be picked up. When I went into the pharmacy to pick up, I had to wait 40 minutes in line even though there was only 1 person in front of me and there were 3 pharmacists. After waiting for a life time, I was told the medication had been cancelled and they couldn’t give it to me while Safeway was still sending me texts asking me to pick it up. If they knew it was cancelled why did they keep texting me to pick it up? If they sent me text to pick it up, why did I only get told it was cancelled after I drove all the way there and waited for 40 mins? If I had known it was not going to be filled I would never had come in. Their system is ridiculously messed up and a complete waste of time. I will never deal with Safeway pharmacy in my life again and I suggest you do too, or you’ll end up waiting in line for an hour to be told to go home

Not entirely sure a lot of reviewers here understand how pharmacies run or the extreme time and accuracy pressures pharmacists work under - filling all those prescriptions accurately. It’s healthcare, not McDonald’s. In any case, I have to say that the service we received was polite, professional, and timely. They managed to resolve an issue with miscommunication between an ordering provider sending a prescription to a different pharmacy. Frustrating, sure. But they did what was in their power to fix things. Kudos.
