Ben in the ski shop is the best ski repairmen I have ever seen! He fixed up two pairs of skis for me, one of them being what I originally thought was past repairable. He was able to bring them back to life and they now ride like they are brand new! Super great customer service, super knowledgeable, and great communication. I will bring all my skis into sturtevants and request him for every repair and wax job I ever have to do going forward!

Being from Northern California I have an appreciation for shops like this off the mountain because they have all but disappeared at home. This place has so many services and an amazing ski and snowboarding tuning shop that is very competitively priced. The customer service was also fantastic. Highly recommend. Note, one disappointment was no burton products available.

My wife and I have had a fantastic experience this year getting ski boots at Sturtevant’s. Vanessa specifically is amazing and has helped transform my ski boots to meet comfort and power. It’s amazing that I can now ski pain free with chronic foot pain due to her recommendations and adjustments. The whole team is great, but she’s the primary reason we will keep returning to Sturtevant’s for all of our ski gear.

Ben and Otto are amazing! I had a warranty issue with skis bought at the end of last season. They set me up with demos to use while the warranty issues were being investigated. Once the warranty issues was sorted out, Ben quickly switched the bindings over to a new set of skis. Ben especially made the process seamless. He went above and beyond. I am so glad I bought my skis from Sturtevant's. I would not think of going anywhere else.

I needed a helmet for skiing. I have been putting it off because I suffer from headaches. Ski helmets don't work for me, go figure? I have tried everything. I have called manufacturers to see if I can get a custom helmet but no avail. So I decided this year to give it another try. I ask for help at the front counter and a very nice woman, Ginny, says she can. I explain my headaches and how helmets haven't been working for me. I also explain for some reason bike helmets work but ski helmets don't. She said she completely understands for many of her friends suffer from headaches. She told me she liked the Giro helmet, the entry level one, it is simple and rests higher on the forehead. I gave it a try and we waited a few minutes to see what happens. She told me not to tighten it down for a helmet lose is better than a helmet at all. She is speaks wisdom there. Well it worked, after about 10 minutes no pain, no headache. The helmet was loose but it wasn't giving me a headache! She also encouraged me to get a pair of googles to go with the helmet and the Giro goggles fit the helmet wonderfully. I was a bit worried, so much on the head but it worked! When I go again, I will definitely make sure Ginny in working that day. She understands what skiers need!

Bryce or (Brice), spelling? In Bellevue was AMAZING! Super knowledgable on the specific boards I was looking at. I went to several other stores and even several online chat systems with experts and was not impressed. Went to Sturtevants expecting the same and was pleasantly surprised! Super nice guy and KNOWS HIS STUFF! Highly suggest if you have any snowboard questions or needs to talk to him.

This review is for the Tennis department. Wow I love this place. The staff is so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. They are not afraid to give their honest opinion even on the rackets that they don’t carry in the store, so that you can ultimately make your own decisions. I bought my first racket here. Fast forward a year later, my racket got stolen and I ran to this place for help. They set me up with two loaner rackets for $15 so I could play right away which saved my weekend! I was back a couple of hours later to buy another racket from them. After I had paid, the person who helped me reminded me that I could get my $15 refunded because I made a racket purchase, something I would’ve totally forgotten about. I appreciate this place and will continue to be back for my tennis needs.

Kate H. and everyone else working there welcomed us in, did a fantastic job at NOT checking in with us *too* frequently (?) and yet were also easy to find when we had questions! Everybody there was super knowledgeable and had great tips, and offered their advice in a relatable, friendly way ? Will definitely be back for our Recreational Equipment Indeed ?

Great service and expertise!I started skiing a few years ago, and noticed that the rental boots always caused significant bruising on my flat-as-a-board feet. I decided that for this upcoming season, I no longer wanted to put my feet through the grinder each weekend, and I'd heard of Sturtevant's excellent reputation, so I stopped by this past weekend. The reputation is well-deserved! Otto was exceptionally patient and helpful working with me to find a well-fitting boot, answering my many questions and explaining in detail the characteristics and underlying concepts that match a boot to the skier.I got a pair of boots fitted to my feet - the most comfortable pair I've ever worn - and I'm feeling much more confident and excited for this upcoming winter. I highly recommend this store to anyone else in a similar situation, and will be coming back for any more gear purchases I need to make.

I visited your tennis store today, hoping for some assistance with replacing the broken string on my racket, and unfortunately, the service I received was far from satisfactory. When asked about the kind of string I required, I indicated I wanted the same as what was previously used, admitting that I didn't know the specific type as I'm still a beginner in tennis. The salesperson, rather than being understanding and helpful, responded rather coldly "How could you not know?" making me feel uncomfortable. I had a much better experience during a previous visit when another staff member took the time to understand my needs and offer some suggestions.Furthermore, when I requested a demo racket, the same salesperson handed me a Pure Drive Lite without asking about my preferences. I requested a heavier racket and mentioned that if my grip size was unavailable, I was okay with the Lite version. However, without a word, he just handed me a heavier Pure Drive racket, completely disregarding the grip size requirement. The service took a downturn when I was asked to fill out a demo racket form. I was taken aback when asked to jot down my credit card number and CVC on a piece of paper. This felt unusually insecure and unsafe. Upon expressing my discomfort, I received an unsatisfactory response and my concerns weren't addressed. It is important to note that my racket was in the shop, and any charges could easily be added to my final bill upon retrieval. This was quite a disappointing experience compared to my past visits. The salesperson seemed uninterested in providing comprehensive service or answering any of my queries. I hope my feedback prompts necessary improvements to your customer service, as this experience left me feeling undervalued and disregarded.

I can't rave enough about this place. My wife and I went here to buy skis. They were fantastic. Michael helped us, and we call him our "ski guru," who lead us on a journey to discover which skis were calling to us. Rather than jump into suggesting skis or boots as soon as he met us, he took the time to know what kind of skiers we were, what we wanted to achieve on the mountain now, and where we saw ourselves in the future. After that, he looked at the shape of our feet. Only after he was armed with the knowledge of the type of skier we are (and want to be) and how are feet are shaped did he even start picking out boots. He also adjusted my wife's boots on the spot to make sure they fit better. He used the same methodology for picking skis and bindings. He spent at least 3 hours with us and stayed 30-45 minutes after closing just to finish our process.Since then, we have taken our skis out on the slopes a couple times. After each time, we have needed some tweaks in our boots and brought them back. Brandt in the fitting shop has helped us both times and he is fantastic as well. Just by looking at our feet and listening to our experiences on the slopes, he immediately diagnosed what was going on in our boots. He took his time with us and has improved our boots so much. We never felt rushed by either of them and felt so enthusiastic to get on the slopes after each time we went to Sturtevant's.As an FYI, we live in Tacoma, but still made the trek up to Bellevue. We actually picked up one of our pairs of boots and skis in Tacoma, and they picked up where the Bellevue folks left off by mounting the bindings.
