I came in a few days ago to get a few things including a 3' piece of window tint. When I went to work on my project I realized the guy had not only taken a really long time to cut this piece and cut a bad edge, but also it was only 31.5" of material. I had to spend over an hour getting back in today to get the new piece. They offered no compensation for the time lost or gas I had to spend on getting back to the shop even after being asked directly. Cut me the new piece and didn't ask for the old one back which is the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1.

they were having email trouble when I checked in, and I'm guessing they never fixed it because they offered to email a quote and it never arrived. I think the lead time might have been better here but the Lynnwood Tap has their systems working correctly so I went with them

If you’re considering this location to build a custom window covering for an A/C, I would reconsider. I brought in exact measurements of what I was looking for and was charged before they understand what I wanted, and sent me away without looking at or taking the measurements I brought in. I called afterward to make sure they understand the various cutouts needed so there would be room for the window crack, etc, around my window and had to email them the dimensions I tried to leave in person. I also provided pictures of my window and window coverings similar to what I was looking for. 3+ times it was provided to them that the window covering needed to be an additional inch around all sides so there would be room for the Velcro to attach around the window.
After waiting a week I called them to see the status of my order, which was completed, but I was never notified. When I picked up the covering it was the exact dimensions of the window, meaning there was no room for the Velcro to attach around the window.
The lack of attention to detail at this place is honestly astonishing. I could not have made it easier to understand what I was looking for. I would never recommend taking any custom built needs here.
Update: This business is claiming that my boyfriend reviewed the detailed request for a custom window covering both over the phone and in person once they were emailed to the store. This didn’t happen, he never went back until after the items were completed to pickup. He never took any calls from them. He never requested any modifications to the item we were requesting. In every email, and in the images they had for reference, it was always stated to add one inch on all sides of the covering so it would fit over the window. I was also told explicitly when I called for a status update that no call was made when the item was ready because the “store was busy”. I obviously would have no interest in having this company remake the item considering they ignored what we were requesting multiple times. Do not use this business.

Had a very small repair, which I'd messed up a couple of times. Geoff, at Tap's Bellevue store, took excellent care of me, answering questions, suggesting ways to get it done right, and being very helpful with questions I had. Good spot for learning about plastics and how to treat them correctly. Thanks, Geoff.

Have been ordering plexi here for audio projects for 5+ years. I ordered some plexi for a dustcover and thought the price was a bit high. I compared to an invoice from 2 years ago for the same measurements and the price had doubled - from $35 to $74. Yikes!

Ugh.... Sent my employee in here for a polishing wheel and compound and they sent him out with some acrylic glue... Yeah, hire some employees that know what they are doing.

Great place to buy your plastic products! Everything from resins to every kind of plastic product you need. The service is top notch as well. Friendly and very helpful. I never go anywhere else.This time I purchased plastic to use as liners for drawers. The cutting in this case was free?

Always an issue with this store.. had to call seattle store to get any info on bellevue store on inventory, made sure I went in 1.5-2 hours before they closed and still walked out with nothing but a receipt.. don’t waste your time and go to seattle or Lynwood instead.

I moved into a new location, which has a casement(crank out) window. Its the summer and so I needed AC to work. I already have a unit but it doesn't have fitment options for casement windows.After researching and trying a few options I decided to do a YouTube search where I found multiple videos of user's asking plastics places to cut rectangles that fit over their window.It turns out TAP Plastics has a dedicated page on their website for this and offer it as a service.I popped in with my AC's attachment fitment, the front of house took it. Double checked my measurements and a few days later I picked up my giant polycarbonate rectangle.Getting it home(I don't drive) was very fun but I managed it. It's now installed in my window and I'm cool but can also still use my window as a window.TAP Recommends velcro tape to affix the sheet, I used duct tape to seal the edges which is still a little unsightly but sooo much better than the alternatives.Thank you TAP Plastics!

Material selection is pretty good and services are awesome for a local company. I love supporting local businesses when I can.I simply don't have 15-30 minutes to spare when I just need to check out, and everyone working is unavailable because they are answering a plethora of questions for other customers. I appreciate that level of service, but it does present quite an inconvenience to those customers that simply want to get in and out quickly.I'm sure I'll be back but the last few times I've ended up leaving empty-handed because I simply didn't have the time to wait.

Shawn that's works at this location is really great. He is extremely knowledgeable and pays attention to detail in every way. I've been to this location three times and have always had top notch customers service and the prices are very responsible. They have matched up acrylic mirrors and other pieces that I needed for my boat. This is the place to go for all your plastic/acrylic needs. Thanks so much.

Awesome staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Had some doubts about how to execute my project and they gave me some very helpful feedback. Their inventory is diverse and I picked up a couple clamps and funnels that I didn't realize would make things so much easier. They did some custom cuts of acrylic for me and threw in a couple extra for free! Can't say enough about how helpful they've been and patient with all of my questions.

Tray was great. He went beyond the call of duty to help my elderly father-in-law with a plastic window for his new air conditioner vent. A very cool store in many ways.
