Felt they wanted to see how much I loved my pet by what I was willing to pay, Wanted $2.800 for dislocated leg and said it needed to be done that night and possibly $8.000 if surgery was needed, wanted second opinion after paying $600 left and went to another local vet and it was $500

Our 9.5 year old golden (Lucy) had never been so sick, with distress at both ends of her digestive system. She wouldn't keep any food or water down and was getting extremely dehydrated. Our experience at the Animal Emergency Care facility was excellent. Check-in was smooth with basic info entered directly into their system from an app accessed via a QR code at the counter. We moved from the lobby into an exam room right away where the evaluation took place. All of staff and the attending vet, Dr. Bailey, were professional, compassionate, and provided clear communications. They rehydrated Lucy with a subcutaneous injection and prescribed meds and diet instructions. We were able to pay for the care in the exam room. The meds cleared up the problems right away. Getting medical attention at Banfield (where we have a subscription care plan) would have been much less expensive but Banfield couldn't fit Lucy in for a same-day visit in either Bellingham or Mt Vernon and we appreciate the immediate attention we received from the Animal Emergency Care facility.

Having to go to animal emergency care is never easy, Chloe at the front desk was proactive and kind. She went the extra mile to support my dog & myself. Recognizing who I was when walking in, only after a phone call, swiftly getting me through with compassion & clear communication. Never stop being you Chloe, you are making a difference. Thank you.

AEC is where it is at! They go well above and beyond what is necessary. Knowledgeable. Gentle. Quick for an ER. They are friendly and welcoming and keep you calm during a time when you are stressed about your beloved critter. Doesn't matter if it is middle of the day or after hours, they show up and help in anyway they can. They clearly have your pets well-being as their top priority, not their bottom line. I have used them a handful of times and they always impress me. Follow up care calls, the whole 9-yards. Most recently, I showed up on New Years because my dogs ate a whole box of chocolate cookies. They could have easily taken them and billed me for a lovely puke session. Instead, they gave me a quiet room and a number to call to see if it was even necessary to induce vomiting. Gratefully, they were under the toxic limit and didn't need their care. So they saved me a few hundred dollars and gave me piece of mind. THEN walked me to my car.... They are not just a fling, they are the facility you marry. The level of care and support is unmatched. They absolutely rock. Go here. Just do it. Also, they have plenty of parking so it is easy to come and go, which isn't the case everywhere in town.

I had to take my very sick cat in last night to AEC. Unfortunately he was in complete organ failure and there wasn't anything they could do. The staff were so amazing. They were so compassionate and so attentive to my emotions. And I felt like I was surrounded by folks that really felt my heartbreak. The way they were so gentle with my boy was the kindest thing. He was loved. The doc got teary eyed

Shocked to see so many good reviews for this place. My family and I had nothing done last night, severe lack of communication and still left having to pay the 150 price for examination.Got there at 10pm with our frenchie for a really red eye looked like he got something in it that wouldn’t come out, sat there for about an hour receptionist says she has no idea when the dr will be done could be hours. Okay i understand that, we sat and waitedThey finally came and took our dog back he was back there maybe 5 mins then they pulled me and my boyfriend in a little side room to let us know what they saw, the vet said she couldn’t get a good look at it and she wants to do some eye stain scan to get a better look if the eye is damaged and maybe bloodwork and you know how it goes all these things not even related to the issue we came in for that’s racking the total up more and more. We said we would do the eye stain to see if there is damage and she left the room and didn’t say anything to us.We waited in that little room for an HOUR and a half with no communication just sitting there like uhhh is she gonna do the eye stain what’s going on. By this point it’s already 12:30 we had been there almost 3 hours even though they only were with our dog 5 minutes that whole time.I go up front to ask hey what’s going on and she said oh another emergency came in that we had to tend to.I’m thinking why wouldn’t you tell us that we would have left a long time ago and gone through our vet? Completely uncalled for no communication from any workers there and STILL having to pay $150 for nothing. The lady didn’t even care when we left she just asked for payment and we left and she didn’t say a single word to us

The staff were wonderful to me and my husband and our sweet Annie during an unexplained emergency, discussing diagnostics and treatment plans to help her. The staff were so compassionate when we had to make the devastating decision to put her to sleep. Thank you to Dr. Jager and her team. Would recommend to any other family experiencing an emergency with a beloved pet.

The front desk lady is very inconsiderate and rude, was of no help at all. She even placed me on hold in the middle of a traumatic situation with my dog and never returned back

It's always so hard to be at the emergency vet but the wonderful staff here make it a bit easier. We've had 2 of our 3 pets here recently and every time we have had to come (4 total) it has been made a bit easier because of the how the staff and vet communicate and handle our pets. I trust this team and give them 5 stars. Not sure how they do it everyday. So many heart breaking cases walk through the door while we wait for our pet to get in. The trauma care they give in heart wrench situations is amazing and selfless. If your pet is injured or sick, come here.

Extremely happy with the service and care for our dog Scout today. No long wait, in and out in probably a couple hours.Everybody was extremely polite kind and passionate. Our cost was around $350 and that included three prescriptions a nail trim and a wound cleaning.Half of what we expected.
