“I've been around a long time. I've purchased houses, cars, boats and businesses. Running a business and raising a family, I managed large lines of credit. Working with banks has always been time consuming and felt somewhat adversarial. I am at an age now that I don't need credit. So I was surprised when I went to purchase a car and was told I had no credit. With over 1/3 down, I had dealers offering me 22% loans. Fortunately I met Hunter at Whatcom Educational Credit Union. I have never a financial institution offer such support with such ease. All online. All easy. Good counsel. Quick. Informative. Hunter and WECU solved the obstacle with a loan below my expectations. It was a totally new experience getting everything done so easily. My sons have long encouraged me to turn to Credit Unions and away from banks. I wish I had listened to them and turned to WECU long ago. If you live in Washington State, you are qualified to be a member.”

I love Ashley for my mortgage effort that she fought for and accomplished getting me under intense circumstances. Jason the Customer Service Manager is approachable and will sit you down immediately to help with any transactions. Camyrn is great to help you open a new account. Everyone else always greets you when you walk in. I love this bank.”
“Staff are excellent. As a disabled customer, it infuriates me that they don't have a restroom customers can use. Or what if you're pregnant and trying to open an account, which literally takes like 2 hours?? Ridiculous. Also very bothered by the fact that you can't view your deposited checks online. Hopefully they add that feature soon.”

The interest that they give on savings accounts is almost non existent with nothing given to checking accounts. This isn't what you can find elsewhere. “Had some hiccups when they changed the accounts to paid. Also everytime it snows, they close, even when every bank in the county is open. Also, checks deposited in the ATM have "2+ day hold" more like 5 days... no matter of you're depositing the exact same check for the last 4 1/2 years. They will however over ride the hold manually when they decide to reopen. Over all, pretty happy with the bank despite the occasional inconvenience. No plans to switch in the future.”
“I've lived in Bellingham for 4 years and started banking with US Bank then. I'm former military and the perks are great. And the staff has been kind and helpful each time I visit. Yes, like some others, I don't care for this bank's involvement in certain business affairs but the folks at this branch don't have much say in corporate matters. 5 stars for outstanding customer service.”
