Not professional and horrible customer service. Was forced to wait 3 days without time sensitive medication due to their lack of communication, didn’t receive assistance in finding alternative stores during the meantime, and there was a clear lack of respect in person. I left the store in tears and felt they didn’t want to assist me. Will not be returning due to concerns over professionalism and communication regarding medications.

I've been waiting here, for a prescription for my mother, for over 45 mins. This Morning I got a text that it was ready for pick up. She told me to come back in 30 mins. When I came back she said 10 mins. It's now been over an hour and I've been in line 3x...
Irritated.

Is there any pharmacy in Bellingham that has a customer service that's great? This pharmacy allowed my mail order sit for 4 days and it never got mailed. They don't answer their phones. They say they are really busy. Hire more people? Now I have to find another pharmacy.

I am new to this pharmacy due to Rite Aid going out of business. I had not been receiving texts or calls regarding my inhaler. Rite Aid filled this for me every 2 weeks & text me it was ready. The male (did not get his name) that I was speaking with told me to just call when it got low. I explained that was not how this worked. He told me to speak with the pharmacist. Another male who supposedly was the pharmacist but did not know the difference between an inhaler or a nebulizer. I told him 3separate times I was wanting to know why my inhaler is not automatically refilled or why I am not notified. At least I tried. The man who claimed to b the pharmacist kept yelling/talking over me. He didn’t listen to the man who transferred me to him nor myself. I was repetitive and he still asked me inhaler or nebulizer? I questioned his pharmacist degree since he did not seem to know the sand he claimed I disrespected him. Yet he did not help the patient instead was defensive, yelling over me, not listening to my question, doing all the talking and was combative. WTH???? I have never had a pharmacist ever treat me this way. I will b looking for another pharmacist. This treatment was uncalled for. He outright refused to answer my prescription question and told me to call on Monday & speak with another pharmacist but never gave a name and hung up on me. I do have a tendency to stand up for myself but this took me totally off guard. I never anticipated a yelling match with a pharmacist. Something tells me he is new and very green. Has no idea how treat customers/patients. He does not belong in his line of work.

I've been going to this pharmacy for about a year now. It just keeps getting worse. I'm trying to switch over my insulin pods and they blame the doctor and the doctor blames them and I'm caught in the middle making tons of phone calls and wasting my time while I'm in poor health. I just don't know what to do anymore. If somebody out there knows a great pharmacy. Please comment

I read reviews of this pharmacy and couldn’t believe it until I experienced it for myself.
Unbelievable. The same girl looked me in the eye and denied taking my Rx bottle to refill my meds. Then after a week of “tomorrow it’ll be ready” it’s not until the following Monday night.

I switched to Safeway from CVS after hospitalization for COVID in Jan. The Safeway grocery store has many riding shopping carts.
This is a big help for us oldsters. The staff is on the same level - not behind a hidden counter.
I was there at non- busy times so service was prompt. I am now trying to set-up delivery service.
I prefer to have docs phone in RX so I can pick up when I know it's ready.

Scheduled a Covid booster with them. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the shot was quick. Including wait time, I was in and out in 15-20 minutes.

I’m finally switching away from this pharmacy after my experience today. About 75% of the time I come in, prescriptions aren’t ready, but this time was especially obnoxious. My wife got a call her prescription was ready, so I went in the next day to pick it up. They knew nothing about the call but saw the prescriptions and said they could fill them and it’d be 30 minutes. Annoying but whatever. I come back and get a new guy named Dylan, whose strategy seems to be to say nothing unless absolutely necessary. So he goes “date of birth”, “name” and then says it will be 30 minutes. I tell him about the call before and that I was already at the counter before, so I don’t have another 30 minutes. Dylan just stares at the counter and doesn’t say anything or look at me. The guy who helped me before also just stood off to the side at a computer and didn’t say anything. So I say that I don’t have the 30 minutes again and he just stands there and then I eventually left. It’s one thing to have confusion and not have something ready, it’s one thing to have something run late, it’s pretty annoying to not apologize, but to not even address someone and not give any care about them does it for me and this is the last time I do prescriptions here.

I have been using this pharmacy since my move to Bellingham 2 years ago. I have received excellent service though it has been a busy time for them. I have obtained all my standard vaccines and covid booster here. I want to acknowledge all staff as being professional and courteous. Recently I was at counter and was helped by Jennifer. Though it was busy when I asked them to call my Dr. to request a refill, Jennifer's response was that it was part of their personal service to provide those types of conveniences. I really appreciated that I was made to feel like a patient receiving 1 to1 service. Thanks to you all!

severely understaffed, causing a significant decline in service. will be on hold for over 45 minutes, phone is never picked up. good luck putting in an emergency refill request because it will not be done on time, leaving you without vital medication for days. put in a transfer request to move pharmacies over a week ago and it hasn’t been touched at all. i’m done with sacrificing my heath to receive poor service as a result. it is 100% not the employees’ fault, as they’re always very kind and understanding. safeway refuses to hire more people to actually care for their customers and i can’t take it anymore.

Subject: Disastrous Experience at Safeway PharmacyI feel compelled to share my utterly disastrous experience with the Safeway Pharmacy, an establishment that seems to excel in incompetence. My recent encounter has left me questioning the very foundation of their purported professionalism. To begin with, the staff demonstrated a staggering lack of knowledge. It was as if they had decided to embark on a pharmaceutical experiment without the prerequisite education. Their inability to provide accurate information not only perplexed me but also raised serious concerns about the standard of education within the pharmacy profession. Moreover, the sheer audacity of the staff to dispense incorrect information is both mind-boggling and downright dangerous. It's almost as if they believe accuracy and patient safety are optional components of their job description. Their blatant disregard for the well-being of their customers is nothing short of shameful. The need for a collective return to school appears glaringly evident. Perhaps a comprehensive refresher on basic pharmaceutical principles, customer service etiquette, and, most importantly, a lesson on the gravity of their responsibilities is in order. It's disheartening to witness a profession that's supposed to uphold the highest standards stooping to such alarming lows.In conclusion, my experience with Safeway Pharmacy has left an indelible mark on my perception of the pharmacy profession. If there's a silver lining, it's the hope that my scathing review serves as a wake-up call for Safeway to reassess its commitment to competence and integrity. Patients deserve better than the subpar performance and apathetic attitude exhibited by the Safeway Pharmacy staff.
