I own a 2016 Kia Soul. This model has a known problem with their ECU throwing false code P1326. They updated my ECU a couple years ago as part of a recall.My Soul threw the code again a few days ago. I called and they told me to come in and drop it off. They found that the problem was the ECU needed another update and they charged me $195 for diagnosing Kia's own problem.I'll never set foot in this dealership again. If you require service, I'd go elsewhere.Update after Smith Kia's reply:When I dropped it off, they DID tell me the shop rate. So, knowing that this was an ongoing problem with this model, which was taken care of at no charge previously, I told them, "You are only going to diagnose the P1326 code, right?" Mike, at the desk confirmed that with a yes and a nod.Additional information - Kia has extended my warranty to 150,000 miles due to this problem, but apparently only covers the engine, but not the code the sensor throws. Nonsensical, at best, dishonest, in fact.

Tried to schedule maintenance and the service guy was very short and rude and just kept saying over and over they last oil change is at 3. But i didnt want just an oil change. I have other things i need done on my car. This person didnt even to ask what i need done on my Kia. I guess they dont need the business. I expect more from a dealership. Its a shame you get better customer service at a random service place than a name brand.

We come all the way to Smith Kia from Canada for their service. I've had a really tricky time with my vehicle and Mike at Smith Kia and his service team have done a really great job of helping through a bit of a white-knuckle situation as we waited for information from the engineering team regarding a major part warranty claim. Really appreciate the excellent customer service and just want to express my appreciation to Mike and his team in the Service dept.!

It’s always wonderful when you find a great service department. Mike and Daniel at Smith Kia are exceptional. Also the mechanics know what they are doing. I’ve only had a couple of minor issues with my 2017 Sorento and they were able to take care of both. I highly recommend this service department. Even if you live out of town, they are worth the drive.

Service Center was great for us. I got an engine warning light while traveling and couldn't find the source. I called Smith Kia, and they told me they could check the codes but could not guarantee a diagnosis on the spot. I pulled into their service center and 15 minutes later they had it diagnosed, and the part (vacuum hose) replaced at no cost. And we were back on the road. Good service!

Responded to the Kia giveaway flyer and won a great prize! I thought I had won a bigger prize, but Christian, the salesman, was accommodating in explaining the phrasing of the flyer, and I noticed I didn’t read all the fine print. That advertisement got me to come in, so bravo to the marketing department! It was a fun experience overall, and I'm glad I went in because now I’m seriously considering buying an EV6! Friendly staff and lots of inventory to pick from!

Wow, the service really center was really great! I had similar experience to the previous reviewer. Was traveling on a tight schedule to get to our next destination. Had a check engine light that I suspected was due to a loose gas cap. Stopped by there on Saturday and Mike the service manager was there and scheduled us for 8:00 Monday morning when they open. We were there at 7:45, they confirmed my suspicion and cleared the fault before 8:00 at no charge.

This dealership is running a very predatory and misleading mailer campaign. All flyers are "winners" and lead people to believe they won as much as $2,500 cash. For a lot of people this is a very big deal and they are toying with peoples emotions. They claim the winner is an "example", unfortunately this is not clear at all on the mailer. The people who run this business do not care about you, they are trying to gather customer info and sell cars by preying on desperate people. Tell all your friends and family this is not a place you want to do business. There are plenty of places to buy a car.

We got a used KIA NIRO end of 2021. Buyer beware, we were sold a car that they didn't even fix the recalls on before they sold it to us. Recalls that make it dangerous to have anyone in the back seat. Gor those fixed and the service department was nice to deal with. Now here were are and after 2 years of normal driving and doing the required regular maintenance I am being told I need to drop $3000-$10000 to have a running vehicle. So now we have a loaner car for a bit longer and will be out of luck with no way to get to work or my mother to her many Dr appointments. So far they have not been willing to help at all.

Got a flyer in the mail that made us believe we'd won $2,500. Total scam, spent gas money (and that's not cheap anymore) to drive all the way there to spend less than two minutes in a seat with an employee who was trying his best to get through the day. Shame on Kia. I don't think I've ever felt more pity for an employee before. You could tell that he'd been yelled at all day, but somehow remained professional. In an economy like the current one. Playing with money and peoples minds like this is just down right shameful and disgusting. I cannot believe they would put their employees through that situation and the public. Absolutely will never do business with Kia in the future and will spread the word. If you're willing to lie to this degree, I cannot imagine how much you've lied about your products. I'd rather walk than drive, or be in, a Kia. If you look up the definition of liars, it's Kia. Ugh! So frustrating!

My drivers side headlight went out the other day and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. I called Smith KIA and spoke to Michael in the Service Department and explained that I work all day, except for my lunch hour, but am off weekends. He told me they were closed weekends but to “just bring it in and we’ll make it happen.” So, on my lunch hour today, I did. And they did. They not only replaced the headlight bulb, they did the oil, topped off the other fluids, did the standard multi-point inspection and washed the outside! When I got in to leave, there was a ‘Thank You’ card on the dash with a handwritten thank you note from the technician. I was impressed and appreciative of the courtesy I was shown and know it isn’t a one off.Thank you Smith KIA and thank you, Michael!I’ve had my KIA for 5 years and dealt with 4 Service Departments in 3 states. In each instance, I was shown the utmost courtesy and professionalism and knew my vehicle was in the care of people who cared about their work and would do it right.

Don't trust them or their marketing. Since they were unable to answer calls or return them, I blew a half hour going in on the 2500$ cash prize. According to them, the winning number for that actually only gets you 25$ service gift card.... if you own a KIA they sold.Charming.

This place is great!!! I went in for an oil change and left with my brand new Kia Sorento. Chris treated us like family and was VERY helpful and patient teaching me about all my new hybrid. Thanks for the great experience!

I got this thing in the mail from the Kiaer store in Bellingham and went there and was greeted by a sales man. They told me about the mail thingy it was a offer to buy a car. I listened to the guy and he showed me the way it works, I fully understand they went above and the manager came out to reassure me they wanted my tradein. These guys are so awesome I bought me a newer model. I will always shop at the Kiaer store and buy from them excellent service and good customer service.. good people

Really nice doing business here. Very good customer service. Good deals. We got a car & it only took 3 hours despite there being a lot of customers. And they have a popcorn machine.
