The RE Store is a nonprofit program in Bellingham, WA, that diverts reusable material from the landfill. It is an incredible and one of a kind place, described as particularly special and representative of the Bellingham community. It is great for remodels and for finding oddball items not found in mainstream stores, with a very large and unique selection of reusable building products, furniture, and vintage décor. This includes second-use building materials, used tools, paint, lumber, light fixtures, cabinetry, and lots of miscellaneous items. The store is noted for its fantastic selection and as a great place to kill time. Reviews mention great prices, though some note prices have gone up quite a bit. The staff receive consistent praise for exceptional customer service, described as going above and beyond, very happy to help, very polite, and awesome. The RE Store gives back to the community through its various programs. It has been the same unique and fun way for over 20 years, with hopes it sticks around for many more decades.
