I worked with Mystra at WECU to buy a house. She was so easy to work with and great with all the detailed work that goes into qualifying. We were on a very tight deadline and she even managed to close early. Also, I love the idea that WECU doesn't sell their loans to other companies, so with this mortgage, it's members loaning to other members.

ATM SUCKS. (Meridian) Doesn't except my pin. Took well over 5x's with each card I tried before I got it to work with debit card. Unbelievably irritating. I only go here if I absolutely have to. (Sunset) ATM doesn't always work. Both you put cards in sideways. Weird.

I am honestly shocked at the customer service that I have received today from WECU. I maintain this local credit union relationship because I expect more from local credit unions -- particularly in the way of customer service -- than I do from big banks. Based on today's experience, you would have thought I was dealing with Wells Fargo, Chase or Bank of America! Essentially, I wrote a large check from another financial institution to deposit into WECU as I wanted to pay my WECU credit card, as well as a few other bills which were already linked to the WECU account. I made the deposit on 4/17. Due to the amount of the check, I was not at all surprised to see a hold placed, with a notation that the hold would release on 4/19. With this in mind, I went ahead and scheduled one of the aforementioned bill payments to draft today, 4/20.When checking my account yesterday I still saw both the hold and the pending ACH transaction dated 4/20. When I logged in this morning expecting to see everything cleared, both the hold and the pending transaction had disappeared from my view, but the available balance was still wrong, so I went ahead and called WECU. I got a very kind representative who seemed to understand my concern, but he needed to put me on hold to call and deal with the issue. He came back after a while and told me that ultimately while the check was on hold due to the amount until 4/25, that an exception has been made to make a portion available so that my transaction would be covered. I was still frustrated that I was given bad information by their system and suggested that he actually follow-up, but in the end I hung up thinking my issue was (mostly) taken care of.Fast forward a few hours -- I logged into my account to confirm that all was well, and what do I see? WECU BOUNCED AN IMPORTANT TRANSACTION which I had been assured would clear. This is a really big issue for me as this is another financial institution that I've had a flawless history with, and now I've bounced a payment to them! I immediately called. I asked for a supervisor. After being placed on hold for a few minutes I was connected with Shannon, a Loan Supervisor. I immediately questioned Shannon whether or not she was the right person to speak to since this was not a loan issue and she assurred me that she is a supervisor and that she could help. I really did not want to have to repeat my story 3 separate times. Undoubtedly after I explained, Shannon informs me that she cannot help and that I have to speak with someone else. Oh my god, did you work at BofA in a past life?!?!?!?!I ended up being connected with Brian, a Contact Center representative. I was surprised because after I explained my issue, Brian did not seem to understand why I was frustrated. He seemed smug and said that the issue was ultimately my fault because the funds were not available. Well, Brian, I'm sorry, I scheduled my bill payment transactions based on when your system told me the funds would be available! I literally do not know what I did wrong in this scenario, and I did not appreciate being spoken to as if I were a deadbeat who had done something wrong. I am now waiting for a call back from Brian. I really have low expectations. Honestly, when an error seems to obviously pointed at WECU based on the app AND the representative providing incorrect information, I cannot believe how I was treated and spoken to. You don't have to be a genius to hear condescending tones, and honestly, they're not appreciated. I will seriously hesitate before I give any more business to WECU based on this experience.

The fact that they force you to use two factor authentication for mobile banking and yet only allow phone is not only incredibly stupid, but effectively a classist policy. I work in the IT field an know that 2FA is important, but to force it with the only option being phone has caused me a great deal of difficulty in times of losing my phone or choosing not to have one. This is an ongoing problem that I know many people have had encountered and yet WECU does nothing.

Update your location it's really frustrating when someone's trying to find a bank at 5:30 at night open and they drive to this location. This is a community resource building now not a bank

Wecu Fountain Branch is small, personal & they seem to know me there - more like a small town bank compared to the larger branches. I prefer a credit union that keeps the same employees at the same branch for a long time so I recognize them too

I'm kinda shocked that this location has such a bad score. I absolutely love and appreciate that they have a location in the neighborhood by our house! Plus, when I go here, it's faster and I've always been treated well. You really can't ask for more. I do want to say, I'm not super impressed by the way they log and account and show our money. It's more confusing than it needs to be. I will always choose a credit union over a bank. And so I've been with several. Not in Washington. In Utah. So I can say they could show the funds in a better way. Buuuuut..... that's just my opinion. And who am I??? Lol.

Wecu did an incredibly scummy thing to my family. WECU did a transfer from my sister in law's account to an unrelated account I am on with my husband. This was with zero communication between WECU and anyone on any of these accounts. My husband and his sister are on one account for emergencies. My husband and I are on other accounts together. It is incredibly unethical and wrong that you'd remove funds from the account of a totally separate person to cover MY account, when I have nothing to do with my sister's finances. It clearly would've been very easy for me to just steal from her. How does wecu have the right to make the assumption that it wasn't me, and that I related to the other account in any way?
