Come here every so often for my banking needs. Friendly service. Really hoping as the population of Blaine grows that they will expand to include Saturday hours. I usually end up at the Ferndale location on Saturdays as the traditional banking hours are also my working hours.

Just opened an account not too long ago in Ferndale Washington branch. I was referred by a family member. During several visits I noticed that the staffs are lacking warmth and not very personable. Recently deposited a big amount of check issued by US bank as I closed my account at US bank now that I'm banking with wecu. The teller advised that he decided that he will put a 5 day hold on the check. I asked how the hold is determined so that I know how it works and he came across as very arrogant and wasn't too keen in educating me. I explained that the reason why I asked was because I wanted to know how i can build a stronger banking relationship with them. I don't think the staff understands that bank customers are technically investors. With his attitude towards me it's clear that he's not interested about that. At one point i even asked if there is a way that I can secure my account by setting up a transaction alert via email and text just like the one I had with us bank and he was very quick to answer no. Won't even go out of his way to find out from his manager or colleague. I had to be the one to insist to check again if wecu has no such thing. Only then he checked in his computer and then advised that I can do that by logging in to my account. Prior to that, even my dealing with new accounts wasn't very impressive as again another staff came across as arrogant and not very personable. This was the same impression I got when I first opened my account at another branch in Ferndale Wa. The branch manager was a bit snotty. Had it not for their free checking I would not bank with them. I won't deny it's very disappointing. After this most recent experience it appears that this is the culture at this banking institution. After this last visit I'm considering to withdraw my money one of this days.

I’ve had a WECU account since I was in high school and never had a need to move to a different banking or credit union! They’re always kind and helpful and the new app has been such a help.

I made an online appointment with Jackson so that my teen can have a savings and checking account with a debit card. The meeting was finished within 20 minutes people! Teen walked out the door ready for responsibility and a card printed on the spot. My only wish is that WECU would stay open on Saturday. This doesn't seem prevalent in Whatcom County.

For many yrs since relocating to WA have been soooo pleased with the "service & care" experienced! Especially with my husband's death the "services" they've provided me @ the Ferndale location with NO expense is amazing & appreciated during these difficult times. Just today Farrah @ the Blaine location aided me in correcting a problem!

Amazing Credit Union. Nice and helpful staff. I think the lobby is still closed due to Covid-19, but the drive thru is open. Prepare to wait a bit. Busy place on weekdays.

The drive thru is always packed and the wait is usually over 20 minutes... have been waiting right for over 35 minutes

No fee ATM for everyone!But how come your ATM does not accept deposit for other CUs!! I cant open acct at WECU due to membership restriction but some other federal credit union accepts me.

Very friendly folks here. They made our loan application easy and stress-free, and the waits for the tellers were generally pretty short. Everyone in this branch has been nice & quick to help us.
