My pharmacy. The guys at the register at the front are friendly. This place is almost barren of items. Is it closing or in some middle ground between closed and fully open with fully stocked shelves? I don't have the answer to that one.

I could be wrong, but I thought a store keeps things stocked on the shelves. It's like they are trying to go out of business. There's never what I'm looking for in-stock here. The staff is always super kind, which is really an extra impressive thing given how annoyed customers must be that the shelves are more bare then Trump's vegetable bins.

This is not the place for you if you need help of any kind. I have waited on the phone for over 31 minutes before hanging up. Many times. Thats with the pharmacy. Meds are no high on their list. I went in 10 days ago and the pharm lady refused to fill my meds. Said in front of everyone my dr was wrong.. so odd.
I never write reviews But i wish i had read these. 38.45 minutes now.......

We were loyal bartell customers for 8 years at this location. Things went south before the buy out and even further so recently. The customer service is lacking, service is slow. I understood when they were going through a system change, but I give up.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They have what's needed 9 out of 10 times.

Everything about this place is a hassle! Once, they charged me $27 for a prescription they weren’t supposed to bill me for—thankfully, my insurance refunded the money. On top of that, the employees are consistently rude. They’re always busy, and every vaccine appointment is a nightmare. Even after scheduling, no one is available on time. I’ve had to wait over 30 minutes just to get a vaccine, with no apology for the delay. You’re basically left waiting until someone finally remembers you’re there. Overall, the staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional.

I've been coming to this Bartell Drugs for the better part of the last 3 years and their pharmacy is a bad joke. Rude on the phone, in person and simply act like they couldn't care less.

I have been coming to this pharmacy for 16 years now. I understand that Rite-Aid bought Bartell Drugs and then promptly destroyed the chain on the way to going bankrupt. It's a shame but that is the reality and it will never go back to being a well run local pharmacy like in the past.
I did see some slight improvement over the past year or so, but now we've slid back into complete incompetence yet again. They had some strong employees that had been helpful and quick, but I have not seen them in months (I'm here multiple times a month every month); guessing they quit and moved on. A shame.
This week I head in on Tuesday to pick up 2 refills. They tell me they're on backorder, so come in on Thursday and they will have it. I get a notification text that they're ready for pickup.
So I wander in today (Saturday) to pick up, wait 22 minutes in the drive thru as the 2nd car in line. When I get to the window I'm told they only have 1 ready and that my other one won't be ready for "about an hour or so". Then Brianna makes sure to tell me that they're closed for their lunch break at 1:30 (which I already knew), because hey I guess their time is more important than mine.
This means I now get the "pleasure" of coming back and waiting in line yet again just because they cannot properly manage customer expectations. There's simply no care at all about making promises and then breaking them. The customer is simply not the priority.
The fact that Rite-Aid just cleared Chapter 11 back in September is frankly not a good excuse. The company is apparently going private now, but given the constant headcount turnover here indicates that there's been no focus on improvement. Companies like this know the pharmacy industry is struggling, so they can just ignore customer needs because there's no alternatives that are better in the immediate area. I now make sure to avoid trying to buy anything else at this Bartell Drugs because I don't want to support a company that doesn't care about me as a customer.
I realize the challenges drug stores are facing with low reimbursement rates and heavy competition. To me, as a private company now, I hope Rite-Aid can differentiate themselves via the Bartell chain to be more customer focused. If not, well maybe it's time to try Amazon's prescription service. At least Amazon rarely disappoints me (and I've used them since 1999). Hoping Rite-Aid can turn this around!
UPDATE: Brianna never submitted my refill request so when I returned the following day it was not ready at all. Cristine helped me and was very nice - quickly getting it filled. I appreciate the quick follow up from Bartell Drugs on this review, but this is my feedback - I'm not taking more of my time to call your 800 number and wait on hold. The fact that this feedback cannot be integrated into your system and taken seriously without putting more ownership on me and my time is disappointing.

They never picks up the phone, and it always takes forever to process order. I end up wasting at least 30 minutes every time I pick up my prescription. If you're understaffed, why offer a drive-thru option?

The tag amount is different on my receipt! Is this normal? I want to support smaller businesses but I don't appreciate this.

The review is for the pharmacy. The store employees are kind but once you go to the pharmacy it’s a nightmare. Your doctor sends something over and usually a pharmacy just fills it. Not here, you have to call and let them know it is there to fill and that’s if you’re able to get someone on the phone. If you go through the drive thru be prepared to wait T least 30 mins. I wouldn’t mind if the employees were nice but their attitudes are as bad as the service. I have tried to transfer my prescriptions but was told no one will respond to the request. As soon as I put the request thru they filled every medicine I had that had an available refill even though it was not time and I didn’t ask.

There's not many nice things I have to say about this pharmacy. One nice thing is that the employees (some of them, anyway) work very hard and deserve a raise. They rarely run out of medications. However, getting medications filled is nearly impossible. They won't fill medications when they get sent in, not even for antibiotics. Only pharmacy I've ever been to that just wont fill medications. You have to call and tell them to fill it, and sometimes when they say "it'll be tomorrow" you have to call that day and remind them of their promise. Assuming their phones are even on & being answered, becayse they turn their phones/ringers off quite often. Today I called, someone answered but didn't even say anything then put me on hold and left me there, never picking up. So you can't even call them to ask them to fill it, you have to go in there, and then they will try to not fill it until the next day anyway. Took me two days to get an RX for antibiotics filled. My kids, dog, myself all have prescriptions and we are always running out before they can get filled. I have started looking for a new pharmacy. It's obvious to me that they are short staffed and Bartells (Rite Aid, I guess) doesn't want to pay pharmacy staff a decent wage or hire more pharmacists and techs. If they had competitive wages, they would have enough staff. I 100% blame this on executives. If their desire was to tarnish Bartell's brand and customer loyalty, then bravo... mission accomplished. If they are hoping to capitalize on Bartell's brand and customer loyalty then they need to invest in their employees, work on fixing the broken trust, and stock their shelves again, with more local products (like it used to be).
