Nitro K-9 LLC is a dog training company founded in 1994 by Steve Walter, who has trained thousands of dogs along the West Coast. The company's training philosophy combines the structure of formal training with the power of balanced, productive energy between dog and handler, resulting in a rewards-based approach without relying on food or toys. Nitro K-9 offers a range of services, including dog boarding, board and train programs, in-home visits and training, as well as small and large dog obedience classes. The business is open seven days a week by appointment, and customers can find videos and podcast links on their Instagram account, @nitrok9. Customers have had overwhelmingly positive experiences with Nitro K-9. They praise the expertise, experience, and dedication of the trainers, particularly Heather, who helped one customer's Siberian husky with resource guarding issues. Clients appreciate the trainers' ability to teach them how to become "badass dog handlers" and the company's use of prong collars, which they found to be an effective training tool. Overall, Nitro K-9 is highly recommended for its exceptional dog training services, knowledgeable staff, and the tangible progress clients have seen in their pets' behavior and obedience.
Steve knows what he is doing. My training is coming along slowly, but surely. I am thinking about both board & train, and I hope to find out more next week, and we will talk about training me first and possible more intensive training. Steve is very knowledgeable and has already helped me a whole lot-and Emery

My husband and I have now trained three dogs over the past two decades with Steve. Our first two were reactive rescue dogs, and most recently our new puppy. Using Steve as a trainer has been invaluable and has taught me as many lessons as it has my pets.
